DONT EVER FLY FROM HERE
Do not ever fly from this **** airport!!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would!
Me and my boyfriend were supposed to fly from Hamburg to Barcelona with RyanAir. We stood in line for check-in for more than an hour and when we finally had to check-in, the one of the TWO ladies that were checking in baggage for the 50 people in line, went away “two seconds” then she came back but left again. When she finally came back she said we had to go over into another line for Barcelona and Mallorca because we were in a hurry to catch the flight (cause it makes sense to not check in our baggage and sent us to another line, when we are in a hurry?????) When we got through the other line, the women told us we did not make it in time. HOW THE HELL?!?! And we were not alone. A lot of other people didn’t catch the flight either. So yes, we had to buy new tickets and lost one day and a whole lot of money because of this REALLY BAD service!!!
And believe it or not this is not it!! We arrived in Hamburg from Barcelona with Vueling, but our baggage did not…. There wasn’t any staff available at the desk for tracing baggage. A sign saying they would be back in a moment with a telephone number were placed on the desk. We called this number several times, but the phone was turned off??? We waited for more than an hour but no one came. We asked in another desk for tracing baggage and they were just laughing at us, telling us they were not around that often. My sister were driving around on the outside of the airport, so we could do nothing but drive home to Denmark.
I sent an email to Global GSRM GmbH but now 30 hours later still now answers. I visited their website and found more than 10 different numbers - when I finally got through a very rude man answered the phone telling me to call back in an hour, when I did he told me “I said one hour not 5 minutes” and hung up. Then I called again several hours later and FINALLY they could tell me that our baggage was still in Barcelona and would be sent with the same flight the day after. So today, the day after, I called again, when they AGAIN told me to call in an hour - this happened 3 times. So now, 30 hours later, I was told that hour baggage will be sent from Hamburg TOMORROW and probably arrive here this Friday - FOUR DAYS AFTER OUR ARRIVAL?! I told them my boyfriends medication is in that baggage and he really need it. But somehow that was my own fault because I live in Denmark - but if I just got my baggage on that plane it would not have been a case in the first place! JUST GIVE ME MY BAGGAGE!!!!
Great Airport but…
Great Airport with nice people but parking is too expensive
it costs more than my flight
WARNING
If you need parking service dont use parkos
if you are late they can charge you 50 Euro a day.
Disappointed
I had lost my lagguage about 7 months ago and still nobody knows what happened. especially after the pandemic I must forgot about my lagguage dont believe any more and would defimnetily be careful next time on this airport
Where is my luggage
75 Minute flight, 65 minutes waiting on luggage. Never again Hamburg! You’ve had your only visit from me. If you are thinking of going to Hamburg, don’t! Go anywhere else instead!
The tourist information was excellent
The tourist information was excellent. I got so good service, extra effort and smiles from Welcome Hamburg and I was so happy.
Both times I flew to Hamburg my luggage did not arrive. But I got the luggage sent home the next day first time. I am still waiting for my luggage second time after yesterday´s trip, but I think the luggage reclaim team seems very professional and there are strikes on the flights to my city.
False parking charges.
False parking charges.
My family and I parked in P4 from 15/7 to 28/7.
The signs all over the parking area clearly displays 200 euro charge for parking up to 2 weeks. This is the rate published on their home page as well.
We received a charge of 350 euro for 13 days parking. Despite signs saying 200 euro for our designated parking area. After sending pictures of the rate signs and all documentation of our parking claim. Hamburg parking has refused any mistakes, they say that travels should expect higher rates in holiday periods.
We have asked for documentation of these higher rates, so we can make sense of our 350 euro bill.
We have received no form of documentation or help from Hamburg Airport parking, that can justify this extra charge.
The only message received was that this is normal practice and we should except the additional 150 euro charge.
We will think twice before choosing Hamburg Airport again.
Not so much help for disabled passengers
My mother was to fly from Hamburg with Wizzair. We have ordered handicap assistance as she has problems walking because of her poor leg. According to information on the website you can use the handicap help stand on both levels (departure and arrivals). My husband, who was accompanying my mother, got confused in the airport and therefore turnwd for help at the information desk in Terminal 1. A lady refused to help and sent them to terminal 2 (!!!), explaining this was the only thing to do. So they walked all the way down to another information desk - only to find another employee, surprised they didn't get help.
After that my mother was instructed to get a seat and wait for assistance. Finally Red Cross lady came and took my mother to the gate. To drop her off there! So a handicapped woman had to go down the stairs, in and out of the bus and up the stairs into the plane. Luckily some kind co-passengers offered to help her with her carry-ons.
And by the way - do not waste your time trying to reach airport at any of the numbers you find on their website. None works.
Stress and disappointment.
Good Service
Surprisingly good terminal, as I am currently finding out today. Little bit bored waiting for my flight so thought Id leave some reviews - I know its a strange thing to review!
