My experience with Hamlingtons jewellers Warwick was terrible DO NOT use this Jewellers, unreliable, poor customer service and an aggressive owner that would rather argue than apologies !!
took my wife’s engagement ring in for a very minor repair x1 claw had snagged on my wife’s jumper and was raise by a fraction, during normal ours we took the ring for repair the door was locked a member of staff approached and opened the door my wife explained and the member of staff took the item stating that it would be looked at on Tuesday 11th , as we had not had any communication regarding the time scale we called on Wednesday 12th approximately 3.30pm the guy on the phone made various excuses and had the audacity to suggest that it had not been booked in correctly as it was accepted at the door and that it would take x 2 weeks’ he was very condor-sending i explained this was unacceptable as i could have had it repaired in the the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham 30 mins down the road, as a result i said that i would collect the ring and take it somewhere else’ the guy then said its was being worked on now so this was not an option’ i then called my wife and we decided that based on the confusing and what sounded like untruths on the phone i should collect the ring’ so called the shop back and said i would be collecting the ring and do not start any work ,
arrived at the shop was confronted by x 4 men that would not allow me clear access to the counter i collected the ring and said i would be putting in a review as it was a shocking way to carry on’ then a guy got aggressive and stepped towards me trying to intimidate me it transpires this was the owner apparently who then proceeded to try and ague i said i don’t need to stay for this and left as i was walking away he the owner was shouting at me as i walked to my car, so unprofessional
i will not be recommending this shop to anyone perhaps that why it only has 3 stars and not 5 as one would expect from a high quality Jeweller .
Go to the Quarter in Birmingham every time my recommendation.
Deeply unpleasant, unprofessional, uncommunicative
Great when things are going well but when things don’t go to plan they fall apart. An easy job that should have taken a week took six weeks. Rude, uncommunicative, conflicting communications when they did bother to communicate. All capped off with a temper tantrum by the owner. I would recommend shopping around and finding a jeweller that is better equipped to deal with busy periods and who has experienced staff who know what they are doing.

"Why don't you try Timpsons"
I took our 50 year old wedding ring, precious as it was on loan from my husband's finger, to Hamlingtons. I wanted to discuss it's condition and to have two words engraved inside to celebrate our Golden Wedding. "Too difficult for us, go to Timpsons" was the response and the ring was handed back to me and I was dismissed.
We have had excellent work done by Hamlingtons in the past, including rebuilding my own wedding ring and it was without hesitation I took my husbands ring in for care and attention.
Shame, and an odd way to loose a customer!

Appalling customer service
We have been completely let down by David Hamlington 6 weeks before our wedding, with no time to commission an alternative wedding ring. After waiting 3 months, despite being promised 3 weeks, the ring I had hoped for was totally wrong. David has now reneged on the refund promised to us.
I am writing this review in the hope that others won’t have to face the same distress, disappointed and appalling treatment that we have received.
