Harry Fairbairn BMW Inverness
Harry Fairbairn BMW Inverness. After sales service. Spend the best part of £50k and then it’s FU concerning. Lazy, arrogant, but if you read the reviews you would know this already, and they obviously don’t give a s#@t. Purely on the after service care I wil never buy another BMW
Approved-used Cooper S, Sales shambles
Bought an approved used Cooper S from these guys over one week ago. The car itself is great (besides a whole puddle of water inside of the boot when it was delivered to me). I was also promised and assured that temporary insurance (7 days driveway insurance) was supplied to me as part of the sale, which to my surprise turned out not to be true when I found out 2 days later after driving around UN-INSURED. This resulted in me having to pay for temp cover through Cuvva, & then finally ended with me paying for 5 days temp insure through Arnold Clark until my main policy started. After all this, I’ve only been told I can get reimbursed for the 5 days AC temp cover?
Would never have had this problem if it wasn’t for miscommunications on their behalf! I was promised full reimbursement of the temp cover from sales consultant Mark but then was informed by Ryan Mccoll (A very rude manager) that they only had a note of reimbursement due for the Arnold Clark cover but not for the extra cover I had to pay out my own pocket? Which was a result of the lies or miscommunication from sales team... Ryan then assured me it’s purely the customers responsibility to make sure they’re insured and insisted on speaking through me on numerous occasions during our phone call without listening to what I was saying. I was being told It’s basically my own fault they can’t pay me back for a situation they put me in!! I was informed more than once by them that I would be provided with insurance, so I trusted their word but then had to take responsibility for it myself anyway. It was agreed mutually between me and the sales consultant that I WOULD NOT take the car if I was not insured instantly!!
INVESTIGATION PENDING.
if all sales went like this then I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED in the service and with the attitude of MANAGER RYAN MCCOLL
Don’t like liars …
Salesman told me he could get me a car late March if I paid a deposit , after paying 2 days later I was told he couldn’t get me a car till may .Got my deposit refunded as I don’t like liars , will go elsewhere
Is Harry Fairbairn Glasgow really a BMW…
Is Harry Fairbairn Glasgow really a BMW dealership.????? My Mini was sold and given to me last year without servicing being up to date. This has only come to light when it was MOT'd last week. They did rectify the situation by paying for the Brake Fuel Service that they had not completed but offered no other compensation whatsoever. As braking is a key part of driving and whilst thankfully I had no issues - this situation could have had very serious consequences. DO NOT TRUST THIS GARAGE and I do not feel that this meets expectation of a BMW Dealership.
Got a car grom these guys
Got a car grom these guys , with a service plan which was valied only in their branches, wasent told that when i was sold the £800 plan. I move to england, and now i cant use it as its valied only at their brances.
The ASsistant manager was very rude, it was talking to a brick wall. No help at alll, just simple pointing the finnger and saying you should jave read the terms.
After a whole day of searching i got a chance to speak to the manager, well he said he will try, but after chasing for a 6 weeks , and finalky getting to speak to him. The answer was a simple so sorry cant help. Which to me was just seemed like he didnt even try, and that was after waiting for like 6 weeks.
Now i am stuck with £800 car service pla and i cant even use it. Which means for the next 4 years every time i service the car i pay 370 pounds out of my pocket. This is not right. As when they sold me the car, they didn not mention that i ciudnt us this pla in England as there was no HF service centers there. Now i am stuck here, no help and defeated. THANKS A!!! Never dealing with these gus again NEVER
ARROGANT-ARROGANT ARROGANT
Arrogant sales staff and ridiculously overpriced servicing and repairs
AVOID WITH A PASSION
Upon an emergency situation with my…
Upon an emergency situation with my Mini, Harry Fairburn Mini were not prepared to look at the vehicle or help in any way. The only option they gave me was to leave the vehicle with them for two weeks and they may be able to get someone to look at it. I am left with a insecure vehicle and risk of rain damage due to window not operating. Terrible customer service and terrible way to treat a loyal customer.
Disappointing after sales service
Disappointing after sales service
Tried to book my BMW into Harry Fairbairn Irvine as part of its service plan mid March, before lockdown, to be told that it still had around 1000 miles before the service was due and the service desk would not accept an early booking. Then lockdown and of course no services and very few miles. Harry Fairbairn generously extended the free service plan, but only until 30th June, and failed to inform eligible customers of this short extension window.
Have now missed the service due for my car (part of the service plan that I negotiated when I bought the car) but I can have the service at an additional cost of £588.
No flexibility/negotiation/offer to reduce this cost or even discuss with a manager was forthcoming.
Fair?
Arranged a test drive last Sunday
Arranged a test drive last Sunday.
I appreciate they had issues that day due to what I was told was a burst pipe. Sat about for an hour as even though after emails and two phone calls the prior Thursday they didn't have any record of my booking for a test drive. Waited another 20mins to speak to someone after test drive then gave spec I require on new car and was told I would be contacted Monday or Tuesday.
Nothing!!!!! Went to the competition and placed an order on a £46k car today!
Remember Harry Fairbairn when it was an independent dealer, was great,,, typical Arnold Clark... bunch of amateurs.
No customer service and couldn't care less
Went into the Giffnock showroom to look at an i3 as considering changing my car to an electric or hybrid. Had a good look, sat in it, opened the bonnet and the boot etc so we were obviously showing interest. There were quite a few salesmen all hanging about or in offices, two girls at the desk and not one person asked if we wanted help, or a brochure, or advice - nothing. Completely ignored us. No customer service at all. We were there about 15/20 minutes. If we do decide to buy one it will definitely not be from this showroom. What a dreadful attitude.
Incorrect mileage advertised
Interested in a 4 series that I’d seen on both Autotrader & BMW Approved Used. Car was advertised with just over 3,000 miles but after numerous emails turned out the mileage was over 12,500 miles - a bit of a difference! After some bartering by email they agreed to reduce the price by £900 - not enough in my opinion.
Eventually a salesman called me (after I had to chase him) & told me he would send an email link to value my part exchange which I duly returned. At that stage realised I was dealing with Arnold Clark who from past experience I do not have a high opinion of.
Since then - nothing. Their loss as I bought another car from a much more professional dealer elsewhere.
The car is still advertised on both Autotrader & BMW Approved Used websites with the incorrect mileage & inflated price.
Avoid!!
