How do I get in contact with them?! I have tried repeatedly to get through on the telephone number given on their website… there is never any answer despite my call ‘being important to them’!
Their website stated that an appointment is necessary - and last time I went to their office without one they were closed with no prior notice! They don’t answer the phone or reply to their messages left on their website…

I recommend ALL who check this firm on trustpilot to FILTER on the 1 star reviews and read them... you will soon notice a pattern emerging of their scam/dirty tactics! the negatives are the ACTUAL genuine reviews you can trust instead of the fake positive paid for reviews.
Sent them my scrap gold on 5th Feb, they received on the 6th of FEB.
They claimed some of my items where non-gold and that the other items that were gold were 15.38 grams when in reality the other item in question was 22 grams and i weighed it 4 times on 2 different scales, DECLINED their offer as its clearly a scam that they are trying to pay me 7 grams less gold!
asked these crooked thiefs to send my item back and it is now Monday 16th FEB and i have not recieved anything.
Emailed these fraudsters 4 times to seek an update of the return of my items and for them to provide me a tracking and i have STILL NOT HAD A RESPONSE from these crooks. They are not answering calls either.
The whole experience has been HELL from start to finish, this is the WORST scummiest firm i've ever dealt with in my life.
I've now logged a case with ActionFraud and logged a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman, I had emailed this rogue firm a complaint and they have simply ignored to acknowledge it which gives me rights to take this to FOS, am now in talks with my solicitor to commence legal action! they advertise same day pay and processing.... BULL, I needed my money quickly and these crooks have messed me around from start to finish, and are now NOT sending my item back and not answering emails and calls.
WORD OF ADVICE, KEEP AWAY FROM THESE THIEVING CHARLATONS, ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR GOLD, YOU ARE EITHER FORCED INTO ACCEPTING THEIR CON-OFFER (THEY WILL KNOCK A LOT OFF THE PRICE UNDER FALSE PRETENSES, OR LIE ABOUT THE WEIGHT OR CLAIM YOUR ITEM IS PLATED OR A DIFFERENT CARAT) AND IF YOU DECLINE THEIR SCAM OFFER AND WANT YOUR ITEMS BACK... THE FUN BEGINS! GOOD LUCK, THESE THIEFS HAVE RUN OFF WITH MY GOODS AND THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT!

What a fantastic company!
Hatton Gardens service was amazing. They were quick to send a postage envelope to send our items, they kept us informed when they were received and during and after the valuation when they needed to. The valuations we received (we sent items on two separate occasions) were much higher than we expected and they paid us very quickly. Fantastic service and I would most definitely use them again. They received my gold on the 6th feb and its now the 11th of feb and they have not provided any update all whilst falsely advertising same day payouts on their site.
They have made major mistakes on my sale as detailed below, I want a resolution else legal proceedings will commence in the form of a County Court civil claim, I will also escalate this to the financial ombudsman, and the police if they continue to ignore.
They have emailed me saying my order is processed and that they will pay £0.00! yet on their site when i login and look at the sale they have defined 15.30 grams of 14ct gold at £864.76, they have also commented "Cut up item is non gold."
To provide clarity:
1) The cut up pieces of gold weighed 12 grams, to which they are claiming is non-gold.
2) The gold handle with 2 smaller pieces they have defined as 15.30 grams of 14ct gold but this is WRONG! I weighed it 4 times on 2 different scales before shipping it to them and this is backed with photographic evidence that the gold handle and the 2 smaller pieces is 22.00 Grams! they have failed to correct this error, they are not responding and have in-effect STOLEN MY GOLD despite several emails to them to either correct their mistakes and pay out or to RETURN MY ITEMS!
THIS FIRM HAS GONE ROGUE, THEY ARE THIEFS! I WILL BE ESCALATING TO FOS AND OPENING A CIVIL CLAIM IN THE COURTS.
ACTIONFRAUD AND THE POLICE WILL ALSO BE INFORMED.

We are concerned and surprised by this review, as it does not reflect the sequence of events or the findings of our appraisal.
We received your items on 6th February and contacted you by telephone at 3:32pm the same day due to a discrepancy identified during testing. You advised that you were at work and that your son was authorised to discuss the matter on your behalf. When we spoke with him, he explained that he did not wish to proceed, as he believed the items identified as non-gold should be gold.
To clarify, your items have not been valued at £0.00 without explanation. The cut pieces submitted are gold-plated, meaning they contain a very thin outer layer of gold over a non-precious base metal. Under industry-standard buying criteria, plated items are classified as non-gold, as the underlying metal is not precious and they therefore hold no intrinsic scrap value. While there may be a thin surface coating of gold, this does not constitute solid gold content.
Your other item has been tested and confirmed as 14ct gold, with a weight of 15.3g. We have rechecked this assessment to ensure complete accuracy and can confidently confirm that our original appraisal was correct in both carat and weight.
For transparency and fairness, we have retained photographic evidence of our testing and findings. Our processes follow strict testing procedures, and we stand fully behind the accuracy and integrity of our valuations.
We also attempted to contact you again this morning prior to responding to this review, as we believe there may have been a misunderstanding and would always prefer to resolve matters directly.
We are currently holding all of your items pending your instruction. As per our policy, if you choose not to proceed with the offer, we will return your items to you free of charge.
