I honestly never bother to rate…
I honestly never bother to rate anything, but we had a great experience with Havebike; everything from the booking, the collection, the return was so easy and hassle free. Great value for money as well! Bike is well built and safe to use. Definitely recommend and use them again
Fancy a new bike?
We all know that the ideal number of bikes is one more than you have, right? Or is your old clunker so tired that you need a replacement? There may be another, less divorce-inducing way to get a "new" bike...
My Brompton has been in daily use for five years. There was nothing wrong with it, except for an annoying squeak that gallons of WD40 couldn't fix. And some sloppiness. And tired brakes. And a recalcitrant derailleur. You know, all those little niggles that you ignore while you dream of a new bike.
Havebike picked up my Brompton exactly on time and reported back promptly on squeaks, arthritic joints, brakes and drivetrain. I pressed "go" on the email ("Let's chat" and "no" were other options).
My plans changed so I needed Havebike to return it to my home instead of office but they handled that in their stride.
The Brompton that came back was like a new bike for a fraction of the cost. The brakes stopped me like I'd thrown out an anchor, the gears changed without demur and the bike's joints moved silently and silkily (my own sadly move more sulkily).
This is not my first experience of being a Havebike customer and it won't be my last.
Awful service
Awful service! Paid for a deluxe service £100 with a return of the bike 24/48 hour turn around...16 days later after numerous emails the bike is returned. Trying to speak to someone on the number on the website is ridiculously hard to do! I would NOT use again or recommend!!
Good service but slightly expensive
The team at Havebike are great. It was very good communication around pick up and service issues. The service was very good and cost effective with a £20 discount however the additional items and labour were probably slightly expensive.
Terrible service
They collected my bike 14 days ago charged me £228 (£118 on top of their quote) and yet still no bike returned.
No communication, do not answer phone or emails. Terrible service steer clear

They were very accommodating and bent over backwards to get my bike sorted and back to me.
DO NOT ENTRUST YOUR BIKE TO THESE…
DO NOT ENTRUST YOUR BIKE TO THESE PEOPLE. These people are incapable of providing the service they advertise.
Delays, false promises, lies, aggressive upselling, missed pickups and deliveries, no communication. Be prepared to waste days sitting around for collections and returns that don't turn up. Nobody answers the phone when you try to call. Promised 72 hour turnaround is now running at 6 days and I still don't have my bike back. My first experience of using this service last year was great, but seems like this company is now circling the drain, please save yourself a LOT of grief and go elsewhere.
Very efficient process
Very efficient process, picked and and delivered on time, with a precise time given on the day (not a window). Very good!
havebike failed to service my bike…
havebike failed to service my bike within the pre-agreed time frame. They omitted to update me with the lack of progress and did not inform me that I would not have my bike returned to me as arranged. This delay only came to light through me contacting havebike directly. I asked for my bike to be returned without the service having been done.
Bike refreshed
What can I say a fantastic service from start to finish. They picked up the bike and kept me in the loop every step of the way until its return. Reassurance on getting things done in a timely manner was no worries at all. The report on all the points covered goes to show these guys leave no stone unturned.
Im very happy with the service, just yet to test the bike out, but Im sure they got me covered very well here and Im very confident the bike will feel like new.
Plus for replacing the front derailleur…
Plus for replacing the front derailleur cable, minus not centering the front wheel, all in all, I am satisfied and recommend, I will definitely use it again.
Quick and professional service
Quick and professional service, great communication would highly recommend
Really disappointed
I have been a regular customer for the last couple of years - putting 3 different bikes through the workshop twice - and generally I have had no complaints, other than informing them that I thought some of their "Advisory" repairs were a bit of a cynical try on in order to upsell. I've had a "new chain" and "new cassette" recommended virtually every time - often just 6 months after Havebike had already put new ones on....
This week I took advantage of a £30 voucher code they had emailed me to get a discounted Deluxe Service. My road bike is nothing special: a bog standard, 10 years old aluminium Evans Pinnacle. It has been regularly serviced and I do about 80-100m per week.
When the email of suggested works came back the total amount of parts plus fitting came to over £600, of which about half was deemed "Safety Critical"! This is, needless to say, far more than the bike is worth.
I asked for just the brake pads and fitting (£24 - alongside £70 for the service) to be done and was refused. Havebike then charged me £20 for the bike pick up and return, without completing the service. When I got back on it the saddle had been left at the wrong height and both brake cables had been significantly loosened, so they actually charged me £20 to make my bike worse.
I'm very happy to go elsewhere in future.
ADDENDUM 11/11/22
I appreciate the written response (and a phonecall today) and offer to reimburse the final £20, which I have accepted. I did not accept the offer of a free service however as I have now booked with an alternative firm.

I had my bike serviced over Summer and it worked a treat . I then had a puncture and my handlebars twisted .
The Haveabike picked up my bike took it away to be fixed . Very smoothly , professionally.
My paperwork presented back had some lovely gestures from the technician who obviously cared about my bike as much as I do .
Outstanding service and follow up cannot fault and would use them every year for my beloved bike.

Arrived when they said they would.
Communicated clearly.
Brought bike back ASAP.
Friendly whilst professional.
Have recommended to several friends.
Do what they say they will
Totally reliable service. Keep you up to date on things, charge a reasonable price. If there are delays they are open and transparent about it. Say they will be somewhere at a time and they are. Simple stuff maybe but not common practice in the many bike servicing companies I've tried!
Thanks for the job done but
Thanks for the job done, but i was expecting aswell a shining cleaning of the frame which really dosnt look like.
Revieving
I see im not the only whos got back a dirty bike, that might be not a little misstake is just lack of professionality by some of your team. Thats just soo disappointing paying 100 quid and now im not even sure if what is cecked in the paper really got cecked.
I was excited to have it back now it feels bad man.

Ok job for eye watering costs
Paid £120 for what turns out is a clean and a paid inspection to give me the list of what is wrong with the bike, I’m not sure now what else the service cost pays for as it doesn’t count towards any of the work. The cumulative cost of swapping a few components worked out at 50% of what the bike cost new £450/£850. Before the service the gear change was snappy and instant, now it takes a few seconds per change. I wouldn’t use these guys again I don’t think
