Our original holiday Cancellation
Our original holiday was going to be cancelled due to the middle east conflict, so we decided to change the dates, which were also subsequently going to be cancelled. We therefore decided to defer the holiday to Feb 27. Throughout all of the e-mails/dialogue and other discussions, Chris Cook was brilliant, providing first class advice and offering suitable alternative suggestions for our consideration. I cannot recommend H&J enough and in particular Chris Cook for his professionalism and understanding of exactly what the customer wants - thanks Chris for a fantastic job extremely well done.

A luxury trip to a lovely country.
This was an admittedly quite expensive trip for a “big birthday” and our first trip to Sri Lanka. However, it was worth it for such top accommodation, food and guides.
I’m a fairly experienced independent traveller and you COULD do Sri Lanka on a budget, but this curated trip was a great introduction to some of its well known highlights.

We had an idea to visit Japan in cherry…
We had an idea to visit Japan in cherry blossom season and maybe see something of China. We had an idea of some of the sites we wanted to see and specifically wanted to avoid large group tours. We presented our initial thoughts to Andy Finlay at Hayes and Jarvis and it was refreshing to chat with him as he explored our ideas further, making great suggestions as went along.
Andy’s knowledge of the countries is impressive and he was very patient with us in explaining how our private tour would work. From suggesting dates to optimise our seeing blossoms in both China and Japan, using different types of travel, experiencing different types of accommodation, nothing has seemed too much trouble, making sure our likes and dislikes are catered for. We’ve been delighted with Andy’s friendly and professional service. We have confidence in the thorough and detailed itinerary and are looking forward to our holiday next year.
