Hays Travel - Hamilton Reviews 

I haven’t booked a holiday since before Covid & haven’t used a travel agent in over 20 years. My mum & dad, on the other hand, have booked with Thomas Cook (now Hays Travel) for over 28 years & encouraged me to book with Julie and her team in Hamilton. I lost my mum 2 years ago & I’ve been going through a very hard personal time when I reached out to Hays Travel I had zero energy or knowledge of how to plan a trip never mind a cruise. My mum was determined we do a family cruise but unfortunately we lost her before we could do that - that’s when I met Julie. She took charge with so much kindness, patience & understanding. She listened to what I needed & handled every single detail. I am so grateful for their care. My mum & dad constantly praised her, her professionalism, and kindness so when I met her I knew I was in good hands. There were a few hiccups at the beginning of the process & even though I hadn’t used a travel agent in a long time I knew something was “off” with the quotes, how they were presented & how my follow up queries were handled. My holiday booking was very specific & I had done my own due diligence to make sure I knew it was available. Julie stepped in, took over & was quickly able to provide me with quotes to allow me to make an informed decision. I was in a position to spend a considerable amount on a trip that my mum would approve of because it was for special occasions for my 2 children - my daughter (her gran’s best girl) who will be 30 in Feb 2027 (and her husband who will be 30 in Apr 2027), and then my son who will be 23 at the time of the holiday and was his gran’s all time favourite & her golden child - he is due to graduate in Jul 2027 with an Honours degree in Criminology. This holiday is for them and something my mum wanted them to be able to do. Julie has been so understanding and understands the motivation for my booking and I hope my mum will be with us in spirit and we will honour in little ways during the trip.

Staff were both professional, efficient and friendly and arranged the holiday we wanted very quickly, including plane tickets and currency.

The agent in Hamilton Jule is excellent. Very knowledgeable efficient and patient. She genuinely cares about the customer and their satisfaction which is very rare nowadays. Also Hays does full package with insurance and travel money its a one stop shop.

We had never been in to Hays but best thing we did. Looking to go on cruise with mum (she’s never been, my 4th) and girl Bethany helped us so much. So straightforward, upgraded our cabin, she could not have been nicer. Mum very happy!
