I was told one price pp on the phone and when I received the confirmation email the price had increased, I realised then that the sales person (Abi) did not did not give me the total price when asking if I was paying full price or deposit. I tried calling multiple times and sent an email with no response. I finally got an answer the next morning after calling a few more times with it just ringing out and was given the run around about people speaking to me (who didn't) and someone calling me back (which never happened) I was then told the price i was given on the phone was never available. If I wasn't lied to and just told the apprentice made i mistake I would have went ahead with the holiday but the attitude of the manager (Tina) on the phone was disappointing so the only option was to cancel and never use the forge again

Very helpful

The booking process was straight forward for us, Val was very helpful and answered all our questions. She explained everything to us as she was booking and gave us tips for when we are on holiday too.

The agent who I first spoke to, Elaine, was knowledgeable, professional and efficient in dealing with my enquiry about a proposed trip to Rome. She endeavoured to find the 'right' hotel regarding location, facilities, and reviews to ensure we had a choice and were not simply fobbed off with the first two ' package deal' hotels that appeared ( as is the case with other travel Agencies)! She didn't try to pressure when i told her I'd need to discuss the choices with my travelling companion.

When returning next day to book the holiday, Elaine was on her day off, so her colleague Rebecca completed the booking. She too, was efficient and professional in finalising the booking, boarding passes etc.
The only problem encountered was the fact we required a Twin Room instead of a standard Double. It would only have taken a short email to request this after we had booked and paid, but Rebecca informed us that the hotel would get confirmation only a week before our arrival, therefore we would have to take what was available!. I checked the Hotel Website myself and there were TWIN rooms available on our dates, therefore, It would have been helpful if the agent was 'allowed' to email the hotel to reserve one of the available Twin rooms for us , given that we had paid there and then for the entire holiday.

Overall, Hays Travel were efficient, professional and made the booking process a virtually seamless part of the holiday process. We will definitely be return customers thanks to the high standard of service at the Parkhead Forge branch. Thank you, D. Deeney

Very good and helpful

Great customer service, friendly, polite, very helpful and helped us greatly.

As a large family group booking (10 adults and 7 children) we were looking for advice and expertise knowledge to help book our summer holiday. Val’s customer service skills were fab, she researched a few places and gave us all the relevant information which made our decision to book with confidence so much easier. Thank you for all your time and effort Val ☺️

Spotted a short break in the window of the shop when shopping in the forge shopping centre and went in and enquired about it. We were welcomed in buy a member of staff and had a great experience talking to very nice ladies who were really friendly and knowledgeable and friendly. We felt very comfortable and we felt secure in their knowledge of the holiday which we had no doubt about and purchased it there and then. We would not hesitate to go to Hays Travel in the Forge again. First class staff.

Very helpful staff

My wife and I have used Hays Travel Parkhead Forge many times and the service has always been of the highest standard. Elaine had booked our Viking Cruise which we took this year and we decided that we would go again in 2027. Nothing was too much trouble for Elaine and the booking process was no bother at all .... except for paying for it!!! Thanks Elaine and Hays Travel, Parkhead Forge for an excellent service.
