Absolute rubbish.

I ordered an expensive car stereo unit on the Saturday from Amazon, for Monday delivery, nothing arrived for 2 days. I contacted Amazon who sent out another unit, also next day delivery, and that didn't turn up either. It's now been a week and HDNL/Yodel have no record of the packages and seem to have put fake tracking information. I assume the drivers stole both packages. This has happened SO much with HDNL. It took them a week to deliver a camera memory card to me, from their Gatwick Depot, about 25 minutes from me. F*cking terrible.

First Class took 3 weeks

Worst Courier IMO, I ordered 2 PC components from Amazon one first class the other free delivery. At first 4 days had past and still nothing I was annoyed and assumed they had sent them together in which if this was the case I'd want a refund on the first class payment. 1 week past and still nothing. I decided to use the tracking and the only updates on the tracker were telling me that the day after I ordered it They received it into the Sandwell depot and then saying it was despatched later that day. that was 6 days ago. I decided to give them a call. I didn't want to at first because of the steep call price but decided it was worth it. After waiting 10 minutes on the phone so paying £1 I was finally put through I gave them my tracking number and was put on hold for about 2 minutes when I hear "The Other person has cleared" At this point I was incredibly angry. I'd just payed £1.20 wasted 12 minutes of my time to get no where. I reluctantly rang them again. After 3 minutes on the phone I got put through and gave them my tracking number. The assistant then replied."Umm, It doesn't look good. It seems like the parcel has been lost." At this point I had had enough. He said to give him until the end of the week to track it down and he then said If they found nothing they would contact Amazon to see about a refund/replacement. It came Saturday. I had received no word from Amazon. I rang Amazon and they told me they had heard nothing from HDNL. Fuming, I asked Amazon to contact them. After Amazon getting back to me they told me HDNL would try to track it down and reply the NEXT Friday. At this point I cancelled the order. I got a refund from Amazon and Ordered it again both first class. The next day it was delivered by Royal Mail I was so pleased. IF YOU FIND OUT YOUR ITEM IS BEING DELIVERED BY HDNL/YODEL CANCEL AND REORDER!

worst courier firm

I would advise anyone to steer clear of HDNL if at all possible. I buy lots of things from Amazon and most times the parcels are dumped outside the communal entrance of the sheltered accomodation i live in. Usually a neighbour will spot it and bring the parcel to me. There is a keypad by the door to tap in the address and enter the building, but some of these couriers are either to bone idle or thick to do a proper job. Other couriers and royal mail are great so no complaints there.

WARNING! Avoid YODEL/HDNL - PARCEL AND DRIVER GO MISSING!!!

Okay so the buyer lived in Scotland and he wanted to send the TV back. No problem I said. So I sent the buyer instructions to return the item. It's pretty straight forward, a six year old could follow it. He sent it off and I began tracking it from then on. Then Parcel was held up at the HDNL Glasgow depot from Friday. It was still there over the weekend into the following week. After calling the assistant on the phone at YODEL/HDNL at the Glasgow depot, she said I have to contact CollectPlus. SIGH

I contacted CollectPlus and told them about the hold up and after I gave her an ear full, she finally got it to move from Glasgow to Sandwell depot. Phew. The parcel was out for delivery and was due to be at my door, only when I checked the tracking notice, it said it got delivered. HUH? To whom I thought? I haven't received anything. I've read bad reviews about YODEL/HDNL before hand, and I began to panic. I called CollectPlus and told them I didn't receive any item at my door from HDNL. She told me it was delivered to someone buy the name of ''Gale''. Well whose this ''Gale'' I asked? She said she'll check with the driver at the depot to see where he had delivered it to and will notify me of any updates by phone.

The next day came and all through out the day they hadn't replied. So I then had to make a phone call at my own expense. She told me the depot informed them the driver who delivered the parcel was off sick, but they'll notify me of any updates when the driver returns to work at the depot. So the next day came and again I had to make the call and waited another 10 minutes on the phone. She said they still haven't had anything new because the driver was still off sick. Suspicious.

I then replied ''will you definitely know who the driver is?'' She replied ''Oh yes, they will definitely know, because of time logs.'' I told her then to call me back on my phone if you have anything new. The weekend came and YET AGAIN I had to make the call and they had no new updates for me except to tell me the driver was STILL off sick. Okay. I then threatened to involve the Police.

My back was against the wall. Too much time was being wasted and the process was moving VERY SLOWLY. The male assistant at CollectPlus told me I should make a claim. I filled out the claims form and sent it in PDF format via email. The following week and again I had to make the call, and waited 7 minutes to talk to someone.

I wanted to check the status of my claim and he told me its still being processed. Okay, so I then asked him if he knows the where about of my parcel? He said "the driver still has not turned up at work which is a cause for concern'' and added ''so I'd follow through with the claim because you most likely never see it again.'' Two weeks later, I finally got a response in the form of a cheque sent to me to the sum of £106 pounds. I never had to refund a buyer on Amazon before and if I was fully aware of the partial refund feature on Amazon, I would have paid the full amount (£10/£200 cover) for the return of my TV. This whole experience has left me feeling very angry with myself.

I am normally a very curious person and totally I disregarded the shear amount of bad reviews on here, on Google and other review sites regarding YODEL aka HDNL. Evidence that HDNL/Home Delivery Network AKA YODEL deliver a bad service was all to see. All in all I lost £40 paying for the shipping and returns. £106 in refunds from Collect Plus doesn't total up to the complete value of the item plus delivery (£146.18). Verdict - CollectPlus = EPIC FAIL.

CollectPlus were very slow with dealing with my case - when you finally get to talk to someone at their office after an average waiting time of 10 minutes on the phone queues. Listening to the most annoying music going around in a continuous loop. I felt I had to galvanize them to DO something with investigating the whereabouts of my TV. Please, if you have any common sense at all (of which I was seriously LACKING OF at the time), you'll avoid Collect Plus and HDNL/Home Delivery Network AKA YODEL, because you only get what you pay for.

ABOMINABLE SERVICE, DISGRACEFUL COMPANY, DO NOT USE!!

I placed an order on amazon.co.uk on the 23rd of August, as i write this it is the 29th! Contacted amazon yesterday who told the company to send out the item today (29th) as it had not arrived. I checked the item status at 6pm today and it said UNDELIVERABLE!! I had not been emailed, phoned and a note had not been left at my door. Also i had been in the whole day! I rang amazon who told me that the item had been damaged. This was the second time i had tried to get this item delivered, unbelievable and atrocious i though. I and many others deserve to be compensated for this atrocity! How any company could work like this shocks me!! And why do a good, reputable company like amazon use them?? No wonder watchdog investigated, but it seems they still haven't changed! I felt so strongly i felt i just had to write a review!! 1 Star makes them look good!! DO NOT USE!!! You have been warned!

Totally inept!

Here's the tracking info from Amazon:

6 Aug 2012 06:00:00 PM Customer UK Delivered
6 Aug 2012 02:54:00 PM Loughborough Van UK Out for delivery
6 Aug 2012 04:58:00 AM Loughborough Depot UK Arrival Scan
5 Aug 2012 10:15:46 PM Prime Sort UK Arrival Scan

Only problem - it wasn't delivered!

No delivery or attempted delivery - we were at home all day. someone's not being truthful, are they?

Amazon now have to send out a replacement.

This is the second time in as many weeks that HDNL have failed miserably yo deliver to me on time . I pay for Amazon prime which guarantees next day delivery - I shudder when I see its coming via HDNL - total pants!

Dazzling display of ineptitude

Never before have I come across such an inept organisation... The tracking information for my goods - which have still not turned up - is a complete joke and utterly meaningless. For 2 days there was 'no access to property', the parcel was then 'delivered to customer' on 2 consecutive days, then loaded onto the van again only to be returned to the depot as 'no access to property' yet again. Customer Services cannot / will not discuss the matter with me and what's more I am charged a lot of money for a wasted phone call. Clearly HDNL have no desire or intention of delivering parcels and should be avoided at all cost...

Dreadful! - more like minus 10!

I made an order from JJB on 3rd July, paid extra for 24 hour delivery. Items that were required for a childrens part on 7th July had not arrived the next day, nor the following day. So Friday July 6th at 3pm I call them to be told the drive forgot to put themon the van - no apology etc. I asked if I could collect them as I needed them for the next day to be told I couldnt, they woulkd be delivered on Monday. Told him Monday was no good to me. It fell on deaf ears. I had to explain to 15 dissapointed children that they could not have their gift but would get it as soon as possible. Here we go again, Monday came and went with no delivery, I left it until Tuesday 10th - at 5pm still no balls, This time the person I spoke to actually apologised but still could offer no explanation. The balls finally arrived on 11th July at 1705 - over 7 days after the order was placed. The poor delivery drive was asked why the delay. His response was that he had been on holiday and the other drivers could not be bothered to do is run.!!!!!! absoulutely awful company. I will not be ordering from any company that uses them!

THE WORST

Giving them 1 star is 1 star too many! Got next day delivery, check the tracker when I get home to see it was delivered and left in a secure location at 11:15. Someone was in all day and no attempt at delivery was made. I ring them and end up having to wait a week while they go through interviewing the driver and trying to shift their arse into gear!

Dont think I would have even got my package if it wasn't for Amazon butting in

Such poor communication and customer service

I recently ordered some items from JJB Sports, but getting my items was a complete nightmare. A week after I placed my order I got an email on a Sunday night saying that HDNL would deliver my parcel by Monday between 12-8pm. So I waited in Monday. No parcel. The tracking service said it returned to the depot at 6.30pm. So I attempted to reschedule delivery online and waited in Tuesday. Still no parcel. I tried several times to contact HDNL and was left on indefinate automated hold on a premium rate number. Finding and using their contact information is so unnecessarily difficult. Wednesday, my parcel sat in the depot. Thursday, the tracking service suggested my parcel went for a ride in the van without reaching my house. I finally received it on Friday, after a week of frustrated waiting and rearranged working hours...and was given an excuse that they'd tried to deliver it on Monday to the wrong house. The experience was so bad that I will actively avoid companies that use Yodel/HDNL from now on.

Again less than 1!

This is the same company as Yodel. And both are truly rubbish. Nothing on time, damaged in transit, missing, and also the courier saying they called and no one was there, when I had deliberately waited in.
