Written by the company

We are a family business, owned by Ben and Kara Hanna, that values premiere, quality roses and the preservation of unique and rare roses. Located in the fertile Willamette Valley in Oregon, we are continuing the legacy of John and Louise Clements who founded the nursery back in 1972 on their own small farm. Our offices are still located in the farmhouse where they lived in St. Paul, Oregon. We are passionate about hand propagating each rose to ensure that we provide our customers with the best own-root roses available. We are committed to providing own-root roses that provide profuse blooms, are winter hardy, are disease resistant, and are true to variety. While own-root roses cannot be quickly produced, like grafted roses, we think the difference and quality is worth it.

Moonstone

This is the 5th rose I ordered from Heirloom Roses. The rose came in a very healthy condition, like always. It already has some new leaves. It is now in a shady place for acclimation. Look forward to seeing it bloom next spring.

I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the three 2-gallon potted rose bushes I recently purchased from Heirloom Roses. They arrived in immaculate condition, thanks to meticulous packaging, and the step-by-step instructions provided in the comprehensive video made planting them a breeze. Without a doubt, I will be a repeat customer in the future.

I'm very happy with the roses I have ordered so far from Heirloom Roses. The most recent order of the beautiful rose called "Good As Gold" came on time and already graces my garden. Now we wait to see how it unfolds and reveals itself to us. Before that we had ordered the "Grande Dame" and the "Love & Peace" roses, both of which are blooming beautifully in the garden of our new home. In 2019, we had ordered "Mister Lincoln" and "Zephirine Drouhin" roses and had planted those in the garden of our previous home, however, they took their time to bloom. When they bloomed, they were gorgeous and fragrant! Our heartfelt gratitude to Heirloom roses and we look forward to more roses from them. I hope we can find some more fragrant ones that will bloom in the high desert of Northern Arizona. Thank you again.

The roses are so healthy and arrived in perfect condition.

The roses were packaged really well and arrived perfectly intact.
I followed the instructions from the video and amended the soil as suggested. The soil is beautiful (we have red clay here) and the roses are putting out new growth already.
I had tried to contact you prior to ordering and I never got through via phone or email. That was my only concern.
