Being 'neuro diverse' is full of pitfalls that often don't exist. What's my experience of a desperate Ascent to HEL (I live in Cornwall)? Despite all the traps I laid for myself.... unknowingly at first....I got a great product and fabulous customer service from all concerned. Looked to me like HEL were a good company to do business with and work for.
What did I notice that I felt was a let down? Well...it was clear while waiting 10mins for the re-specced (lol) brake lines that the building was not designed around the generously provided foyer pool table. Rather than use the shorter cue because the structural wall was 6" too close I chose to cheat while nobody was looking.
Other than that I'd say the place was looking meticulous and very serious about their Product.
Oh yeah, there were no Airheads or Thundercats in the Carpark to bother Skeletor. Just in case you were worried. I chose to pay slightly more than the ebayers I found because when asked awkward Q's...they had no answers, so I went direct and it was worth the reassurances for a few quid. Thank you all. 8am Sunday - Brake Lines installed, just the calipers to do which I should have done already but I got distracted...again ! : )

Ordered items via their website a week ago, no dispatch notce no communication at all. I then followed up with a call spoke ot Kieran, who infomred me the due to how busy they have been my order was put to the bottom of the pile and it was bank holiday. The bank holiday was yesterday, so not sure how this impacted, when I asked how this had impacted becuase my order was put through a week ago? I was told they had ebay orders, priority orders and these all fell on top of my order.

No remorse or apology from Kieran, I asked for a refund again was told I would have to wait as Chatlotte who processes this is no longer in. Requested this to be put into writing to acknowlegde my request but still waiting for this and don't belive this will follow.

A simple apology and maybe putting some communications on their website might help rather than take people's money and inconviniencning them. I will now have to cancel my garage booking to have these fitted all because they are unable to manager their own work load and communication.

Kieran coudl do with some training in customer service as his attitude on the phone was disgusting.

Edit: Taken nearly a year for someone to respond to this thread. Not making this up at all i got my refund in the end but I was told what I was told despite the below reply.

My experience:
Ordered some stainless bleed nipples as a test purchase before buying some custom brake lines.
- Email notification poor. Not addressed personally, just 'guest, your order has been updated to despatched'.
- Arrived on time (2 days)
- Quality: average to poor. Thread finishing extremely rough and crucially, not as per the image on Hel's website. Conical tip supplied. Blunt tip (Brembo type) on website.
-Called to query and received a very defensive, borderline hostile response. 'Send them back for a refund' being the outcome.
-Returned the same day with follow up email to confirm return (no reply).
-Waited and waited, for approximately three weeks. No response or refund.
-Called to enquire. Refund processed only as a result of phone call. Refund received two days later.

To follow up, despite stating the image would be changed, because 'it was an old photo', the listing is still the same. This type of practice would guarantee negative feedback on EBay and yet Hel seem to think the Consumer Rights Act doesn't apply to them.

In summary: they only get two stars because I finally received a refund. Beyond that there's very little to recommend with this company and I'm at a loss as to why they appear to have a good reputation. They make a big noise about swaged fittings but you can do so much better by going elsewhere.

I ordered brake lines for my bike with 48 hours delivery time. After 1week without any action i sent an email with asking for any updates, without any response. Couple days after I phoned them what is going on? Answer was they are waiting for pipes in that specs, it will took them 2 months to get those pipes...If they would sent me email back or letting me know they don't have it. I wouldn't write this review

HEL are a fantastic company. A couple of years ago I bought some braided brake hoses from them. I made a mistake with the length to the master cylinder. I rang HEL & they sent me the correct length FREE OF CHARGE. Brilliant customer service & quality products.

Very helpful and great customer service fast response and was sorted with 24 hours.
Great product and would highly recommend and will be using again when needed
Couldn't ask for a better service.

Got to say thanks to all at Hel and to who ever I spoke to over the telephone when ordering, they were brilliant and very helpful indeed and very quick at sending my my brake line out to me despite being busy, I am over the moon it was exactly what I asked for.

After ordering from them for 2 other older motorcycles in the past (2001 Suzuki GSF600 and 2002 Suzuki SV650S), I decided to go with them again as their quality is unbeatable for replacement brake line sets. My Yamaha FZS600 has aftermarket renthal high handlebars which meant I needed a slight extension on the top hose at the front so I requested this at checkout. Lines arrived and I had been sent a standard length one so contacted support, got an immediate response from a Steve Whitear and he sent out a replacement one immediately free of charge. This turned up the next day with the incorrect colour banjo ends so I once again contacted him by email and he sent out another replacement which turned up the next day and was perfect. Excellent customer service with minimal hassle, Still giving 5 stars simply because not only was Steve extremely professional and polite but we are all human at the end of the day and small errors can happen.

I had a few technical queries about a clutch hose I potentially needed and rang HEL, their technician was extremely helpful and was happy to spend the time discussing my query. The next day I rang again to ask about adding my adjustments to an existing kit and the sales person advised me it was definitley OK and just to state it in the 'notes' section when ordering online and it wouldn't cost any extra; I did so and the end-product was exactly what I was after!

Very helpful to be able to discuss technical requirements and having the customer service to support it! Will definitley use again and recommend to others!

I messed up my order but they sent a correct item in very short time. High quality products that work perfectly and look great. Highly recommended.

Ordered replacement brake lines for my Yamaha FZR600R from this company on Saturday 30th September. Have many colour options so opted out for the transparent purple with the banjo in stainless steel. Found the website easy to use and intuitive.
My order arrived today Tuesday 3rd October via Royal Mail in a neat slim and flat cardboard box that can be shoved through the letterbox.
Can't wait to put these brake lines in.
Enclosed with my purchase was some cool transparent "Hel" stickers that I can put later on my motor bike or helmet.
Excellent service, really pleased with my purchase.

Stunning customer service which these days is sadly not too common.
I ordered some brake lines for a bike and stupidly on the conversion from Imperial to their required metric I massively got it wrong. One email and the hoses were sent back and shortened with new fittings at no cost whatsoever.
I offered to cover any costs, of which there were some but no invoice has arrived.
If you need hydraulic brake hoses definitely HEL every time!

Ordered some brake lines from a distributor ( not Hel direct ) only to be sent the wrong hoses, spoke to Hel directly and was sorted within the hour by Keiran and Jake who both seemed very knowledgable and were both more than helpful. I have used Hel in the past and can say they are definitely a company I will stick with in the future.
If you want good quality products with excellent customer service you wont go wrong with Hel Performance :)

Keeping it simple . Bike is a gsxr 1000r . Needed calipers and lines.
Spoke with dan.
Nothing was too much trouble
Everything came next day . V2 calipers with lifetime gaurentee. And servicing options for calipers in future if I want.
Unreal stopping power on brakes. I can only compare them to brembo yes brembos are good but they have no customer service. I'd rather deal with a UK company on the end of a phone with just as good brake systems and better prices. U want brakes go to hel . U want discs go to ebc they were just as good with service and the discs are unreal too. So thank you hel and dan and pls keep it up ur customer service really does mean a lot

Needed brake lines for my race Elan, the guys were brilliant, willing to persevere with my odd line sizes and connectors and produced an excellent replacement kit. I would not hesitate to use them again.

In the previous reply u state that the bracket im fitting it to is poor and worn .
What a tourizo ive fitted the o.e flexis (which also fit perfectly)while I waited for the goodridge ones to arrive via scoobyworld again and they fit spot on perfect

Its ok to be wrong but refusing to take responsibility for poor quality parts is not ok especially when been proven wrong twice that its awful fitment

The type r customer settled for o.e rubber flexis as yours were dangerously wrong

The subaru customer wanted braided so we tryed goodridge it was Bob on 1st time

Again customer service is the worse ive came across
Nobody has contacted me whatsoever
And I was left to order elsewhere as i felt like as im a small independent business they simply don't care

I can upload videos of fitment of all 3 (hel,subaru,goodridge)subaru flexis to YouTube to help explain again

And still have the accord ones in the workshop i could arrange to get the accord back in at a time one of your reps or techys are available so we can show that they don't fit

I purchased a HEL product through a HEL supplier. My experience was not good however this no fault of HEL themselves. I contacted HEL for advice on the matter and they immediately got on the case. And within 24hours the correct parts were delivered to me via Special Delivery direct from HEL. Fantasic attitudes and service and this was very much appreciated.. Fantasic product and fantasic customer service.
