The training is clear, fun and not difficult. However, my labrador/retriever cross is so food driven (obsessed!) That it wasn't right for him. He was too focused on the food, even if it was boring.... See more

Help My Dog has been a life saver for me! Tom's teaching is amazing and so easy to understand and follow.
I have been a Hub member since the beginning and have now upgraded to expert level. I have followed the 10 Day Plan & Separation Anxiety course and am about to start Lead Walks Mastery to help my boy who can walk well unless he gets too distracted by a smell!
Help My Dog has just run a 5 day FREE course which has been a one hour live each evening with Tom and then additional teaching from Dr Anita, another behaviourist, the next day following up on the leaning with live demonstrations (this has been so useful to cement the learning).
Help My Dog combines the science of dog training with the practical and always keeps it real and easy to understand.

Amazing value and truly inspirational insight and understanding of dog behaviour. Tom and the team provide so much information and make it so easy to understand. I feel that I now understand my dog (recently re-homed Dobermann) and have the knowledge, skills and ability to address all her issues, including separation frustration and any reactivity. Thank you 🥰

Dr Tom is brilliant. I love learning with Tom and his colleagues as he always makes dog training and understanding dog behaviour so accessible. I have been part of the Hub, enjoyed some of the free learning (so much value) and learned from Tom over many years. It has made so much difference to my dog and the others that I have trained.

Wonderful, informative videos and support for learning Concept Training. It works!!! Can see such growth of confidence in our pup in only a few weeks. Will definitely continue with this type of training. Thanks!

I joined the Helped My Dog 2025 Thrive Challenge. It was a great training to help my dog become less reactive. I can’t believe we got all that training an hiwtos for free. I joined the Hub today and started the 10 day challenge. I really liked the teaching style of Drs Tom and Anita. The resources in the hub are fantastic. I love the positive approach that they use.

There is a way to have a wonderful relationship with your dog and to train them using “ kind” strategies while having fun!🙌 Thank you for giving us this lifetime gift Tom. Your teaching will impact the lives of so many dogs and their owners in such a positive way and the ripple effect will spread worldwide wide.🙏

Dr. Tom and Dr. Anita were amazing coaches on the Thrive Challenge. This was my first time to learn about what they do and I am so glad to have had the opportunity to learn from them. I am feeling confident that I can help my dog and already seeing a big change in his behaviour. Thank you for empowering us.

I have completed the 10 day plan which caused me to use the consultancy service and have now decided to join the hub to get the best of two worlds. I asked my first question and got some very useful advice from other dog owners. who have been following help my dog longer than me.

Help! My Dog is a fantastic resource for those of us in the company of dogs, personally, professionally or both. I cannot recommend HMD highly enough whether troubleshooting an issue or building on your relationship.
We live with three large breed dogs, one of whom has severe reactivity, and via live teaching from a remote location combined with pre-recorded videos on the HMD Hub, HMD has taught my household humans how to manage and help all of our dogs navigate situations we could all find challenging.
Our reactive 9-year-old Staffy has lived with two Belgian Shepherds half his age (read young and liked to be extra obnoxious!) for 4 years now and we could not be happier.
Not only did we rescue our Staffy from terrible circumstances, we were able to rehabilitate him (and take on the two Belgians safely) using the HMD teaching. It's all humane and force free.
We are members of the Help! My Dog Hub, have completed the 10-day-plan toward less stressful walks and are now working our way through the Separation Solid course while we simultaneously learn to be calm with visitors in our house.

I just partipated in the 5-day help my dog to thrive challenge. Completely free of charge with two hour long (sometimes longer) teaching and Q&A sessions each day. I have Tom Mitchells book on concept training and have tried his methods with my previous dog very successfully. I now have a little rescue terrier and wanted a refresher course. It was amazingly helpful. So much so thst I have signed up for membership of his main training platform The Hub. Thoroughly recommended for anyone with a reactive dog who is willing to spend just a few minutes each day training and at the same time having fun with your dog.

I’ve just completed the ‘thrive in 2025’ 5 day challenge and it has been great. A real eye opener and lots of lightbulb moments. I am now really conscious of my dog’s behaviour and am realising that some of the things she does is because she is stressed or overwhelmed and now have the skills to help her.
I’ve been really surprised by the amount of learning I was given. Tom and the team are great to watch and engage with. They are positive and don’t make you feel bad for not knowing how best to manage situations. I am now feeling more optimistic that my dog will be able to manage day to day life without being stressed and reactive.
I will be joining the Hub on the back of this and will be recommending Help! My Dog to anyone!

The 10 day plan was excellent so I joined the HMD hub. I have learnt more in 6 weeks than with 3 different behaviourists in almost 12 months. We are making huge progress for a very small fee compared to what I have already spent on ' professionals' who made no difference. Tom's knowledge and enthusiasm is just brilliant. It is the best thing anyone can do to help their dog
I found Help My Dog through the podcasts initially and I loved the way Tom and the team say your dog is not broken, they just need to learn the skills to deal with the world. I have just finished the 5 day Foodie course and it has been a game changer. It was always a struggle to get my dog to eat her daily balanced food allowance (kibble), I’d have to smother it in poached venison or fish to get her to even think about it, let alone being able to use kibble as a treat? 1 week ago she would have either spat it out or just ignored it and walked away. Day 5 and we are now using 80% of her daily allowance for games and training. This has opened up another world for training as before it was limited by her small allowance of high value treats. I have just completed the 5 day Thrive in 2025 course which was great, so many lightbulb moments from Tom & Dr Anita’s videos. I’ve now joined the Hub which has an extensive library of games to help your dog in various situations and live sessions once a week. Now that I have the kibble issue sorted, I’m looking forward to working through the Gorse diaries and to complete the separation anxiety course. I have hope again, thank you Tom, Anita and Team.
Can't praise the enthusiasm and generosity of the team for creating the FREE Thrive in 2025 experience. Great training in a super supportive online group. Really helped me to understand my dog and her behaviour by sharing the Why as well as the What to do I urge you to take a look and get involved.
I have just enjoyed Help my Dog’s free 5 day Thrive in 2025 course and previously signed up for their 20 day challenge. I have got so much out of both courses. I was struggling to enjoy walking my dog as he would pretty much just do his own thing. Now we have a much better partnership. I also have tools to help with his barking at the door or just passers by. I’m going to continue training with Dr Tom and the other trainers as their enthusiasm and the way they share their knowledge works for me.
I have followed Help My Dog since its inception. The content is always valuable and easy to apply because there are so many examples.
Help My Dog Is fantastic- loads of information with many practical ways for positive dog training.
I loved the Thrive 2025 Challenge.
I’m a Hub member. I’m still learning my way around the Hub- so much information and knowledge that helps me train my dogs - along with helping others. Definitely recommend the Hub!
I was in the middle of the 10 day plan when Tom started the Thrive challenge. I and my dogs have already benefited from the teaching and we’re looking forward to a calmer household. I have also joined the Hub and it’s great to be able to go back and review the things you’re learning. There’s so much to work through. We still have a long way to go but we’ve started and walks are already better than they were before we started.
The Thrive course has been amazing with the added bonus of Anita working with her dogs too. They’re both very realistic about things going wrong and it’s good to see how they deal with it. If you’re wondering if this can help you the answer is definitely yes!
I did the 10 day plan with Help My Dog and was so inspired by Tom's teaching methods. He gives the background behind dog behaviour which helps you to understand why the practical side works. I joined the hub to learn more, there is so much content, it's amazing. There's also live teaching each week and a Facebook group for hub members. It's fantastic to hear of others struggles and the wins, giving so much advice and hope. Although fairly new to this, I can see wins, and my dogs love the games! I've just finished the 2025 challenge. There's always more to learn. Well deserved 5 stars, would recommend to anyone whose struggling with their fur babies or just want a better understanding of relationship with your dog.
I've been a Help My Dog Hub member since it was set up over a year ago but I've been studying with Dr Tom Mitchell for 5 years and what I have learned from him has been transformational for my scared, pessimistic, reactive dog.
I have also just taken part in the 5 days of free live teaching "Help my dog thrive in 2025" in conjunction with Behavet. It was awesome and I know it has set alot more people and their dogs on the road to successful dog ownership. Thank you Dr Tom and Dr Anita
