Please be warned - extremely poor quality and deceitful service
Highlander Cerberus 30L backpack - bought in sale. Sad to say I bitterly regret wanting to support British. They sold me a backpack that was awful quality. The padding has dried up and is useless. No comfort at all. Clearly substandard stock that needed binning. Instead these lovely people flogged it as if it were new. Sent it back for a replacement. Took 3 weeks and they just sent me another used backpack with exactly the same worn out padding. Lied and said they'd checked it. Very clearly knackered, old stock that should have been thrown in the trash. Will never buy from them again. Really substandard gear and dishonest customer service. Not one single positive review for their substandard pack! Nobody bothered to check anything. They just flogged a load of gear that was way passed its best and was falling apart. Imagine if your health or safety depended on this shower!

Highlander Moorland Wellington boots that Leak
Highlander Moorland Wellington boots. Thought I was doing a good thing, buying from a British Company, £60 for a pair of Wellingtons. But they only lasted just 3 years, and then the welded seam gave up, and lets in water. I had only worn them at most 9 times and then only for short strolls down local muddy footpaths.
All the company wanted to do was sell me another pair with 20% off. I would have been better to have spent £100 in the first place with a good company that have a pride in their product quality.
Don't bother
Don't bother, product didn't arrive. Company not interested.
Highlander Phantom 400 Sleeping Bag
I was looking for an inexpensive but warm sleeping bag. Arrived at two options based on several online reviews. Snugpak sleeper Extreme Basecamp and Highlander Phantom 400. After lengthy consideration I chose the Highlander Phantom 400.
The advertising blurb / reviews state snagproof zip but that’s exactly what it does every time. It snags on the baffle. This makes zipping it up from inside really annoying.
Otherwise this sleeping bag does exactly what it claims, although -33 degrees may be a bit of an exaggeration.
It is both very warm and comfortable.
I have used it at -5 degrees and it did the job adequately but realistically I would not expect it to perform below this temperature without a bivvy bag.
This may not be the best choice for backpacking due to overall weight and packsize.
All in all though, excellent value at £55
If you want a backpacking sleeping bag which can perform to lower temperatures you will have to pay a lot more than this.
