He explained everything to me Harry was going to do it he was clean and tidy tidied up after him and took the rubbish and then he shown me how they worked he was very good and I highly recommend him

Thank you for your response, but unfortunately it presents a misleading version of what actually happened.

The issue is not simply that we were “informed three days before” the appointment. Hillarys confirmed our Friday appointment. In the days leading up to it, I personally chased our advisor repeatedly and sent several messages specifically to make sure everything was still going ahead. I was told that Marco would contact me to confirm.

Despite all of this, it was only on Sunday that our advisor told us the appointment was cancelled and explained that Marco was on annual leave very casually like there is nothing absurd about the situation.

So presenting this as though Hillarys simply gave us three days’ notice completely removes the context and makes the situation sound far more reasonable than it actually was. We actively tried to confirm the appointment several times and were reassured, only to then be told it could not go ahead.

My experience has also made it clear that Hillarys relies heavily on independent contractors, with seemingly very limited control or accountability when something goes wrong. Customers may reasonably believe they are purchasing from and dealing with a large, professionally managed company, but that has certainly not been our experience.

You take the full payment during ordering the products and then preserve your right to change fitting appointments without any right to cancel. I wonder if your policy to deny cancellation and refund applies to general consensus.

I hope other customers considering Hillarys see this response and our experience before deciding whether this is the level of service and accountability they are comfortable paying for.

It is the lack of communication and the communication style when I managed to get some information that bothers me most.

You now told me that I will be contacted on 1st of September to arrange an earlier date. I will be waiting for it.

Cascade was polite, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The time he was with us seemed to go really quickly, then surprised us with a price which was less than we thought

Polite Gentleman came to measure and fitted the Blinds very efficiently couple of weeks later

Sean made sure that nothing was too much trouble, from my noisy dogs to me taking an age to choose a fabric for our curtains! He was very kind and not at all pushy. The curtains are great quality and the track is fitted well. They really are blackout like we wanted.

Martin (advisor number 214099 wedgewood) was very knowledgeable and offered great advice. He was easy to contact and very helpful. The blinds look wonderful. I couldn’t fault my experience. Thank you Martin.

He was very professional and left no mess in my house and took away old blinds for us

I was interested in purchasing venetian blind for my kitchen as I'm in the midst of having a kitchen make over. After contacting Hillary they send a young man name Hasnaat who was very friendly, made me feel relaxed & able to talk quite freely etc. He was quite helpful with helping me to make up my mind with the final choice i eventually made. I have to say, it was a bit more than i had anticipated in spending but the range was quite varied along with the after care that's promised.

So yes, overall I am satisfied.
