Very slow website, near unusable. Couldn't use live chat as the page just turned white. Tried on multiple devices and had the same outcome. I couldn't even get insurance if I wanted to.

Very simple to arrange PI cover for my new sole trader business at a decent price. Recommended.

Arian Masud was the agent who resolved my issue which took several calls to resolve. None of the previous team were able to help. So i am glad Arian was able to help.

Called them about my policy - where I have not claimed for many years - it was so easy to change my policy to reflect my change of circumstances. I wish all companies were as easy to deal with. A quick chat with Zoe - all fixed.

As a solo founder of a pet care platform, I wasn't sure what insurance I needed. The Hiscox online quote builder made it straightforward to build the right cover — professional indemnity, cyber, public liability and more — all properly classified as a software/tech business. Good value at around £59/month for comprehensive cover. Documents came through instantly. Really pleased with the process.

Responsive quotation process, called for ad-hoc support and received clear answers from Rabia.

Quick and easy to sort out, also very quick on the telephone when I had a query as well.

Started with hiscox , amazing , left hiscox to find a diffrent insurance company. Which wasnt a success , back with hiscox , good rates , easy to understand your policy.

Awful from day one. Had to call to get sent my policy, failed to send me an invoice and now if I log into the portal it says there is no policy in my name. So essentially for them I don't exist yet I paid the annual fee. I am seriously worried I won't be able to claim if I need to because of some sort of mismatch on their systems. For an insurance company it is extremely poor.
I am expecting a quick resolution or a full refund.
At this stage I would rather have the latter as it's now the third strike (without counting the 'we couldn't find your quote' I even had before signing up).

Hiscox event insurance. Form not working properly for cancellation insurance. No phone number. Email if you need help get no answer . Would love to purchase if only we could speak about fault in form. Wrote to complaints address nothing from there either. Two phone numbers online both have been taken out of action. Why cant anyone be contacted?

Wonderful company — until you have to make a claim.
My water leak claim has been ongoing since February and I am now dealing with the fourth underwriter. Remarkably, the current underwriter, Paris, is apparently unable to confirm the company trading name or even provide the correct service address for legal correspondence, seemingly to avoid court action.
This is after 10 years as a loyal customer.
I will update with the court outcome in due course. Be warned.

I feel sorry for all the people who posted reviews about what a great company they are, you will regret if you ever have to make a claim and face a constant fight trying to get a payout for anything.
I had to take over dealing with this company on behalf of my daughter following a fire in the building in which she had her salon. The fire which was an arson attack on one the other companies in the building resulted in 2 persons being arrested and charged. You would have thought a sympathetic approach after the loss of her 12 year old business.
The whole process of the claim has been an absolute nightmare over the last 14 months and the appointed loss adjustors Crawford and Co were even worse to deal with and put up more obstacles than the Grand National.
I have made 4 separate complaints about the handling of the claim, all of which were upheld in full or part resulting in compensation being paid

I've got Hiscox home insurance and Hiscox business insurance. When I resolve my complaint against them I will change to another provider and never use them again.
Hiscox claim to be comprehensive no quibble cover, and charged me more per month than I've ever paid per year before, but delivered nothing of value at all when I needed them. Instead of being a safety net when things go wrong in your home, they've caused the most stressful year of my life and have nearly made my lose my home. I have had to remortgage to cover massive losses that everyone agrees should be covered, but somehow Hiscox and their subcontractors are still doing nothing about. Their staff are friendly and superficially sympathetic, but do nothing to resolve the problems, no matter how serious they are.
I've had to take my complaint all the way to the financial ombudsman service, and every step of the way every complaint I have made has been upheld, but still nothing has been done.
I've had multiple insurance policies for the business and our various properties for more than 30 years, but these are both the most expensive (by a factor of 15) and by far the worst. Between Hiscox and ARAG it is like they are competing for the most unpleasant possible customer experience. I hope that no other customers have to go through what I've been through.
