My husband rented a car from this…

My husband rented a car from this place. They picked us from airport to their place for paperwork.After our trip was ended,we left the car to their places and they drove us back to airport. %100 reccoment.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience booking a car through VIP Cars and would strongly advise others to be cautious.

I booked a rental in Antalya through VIP Cars, with the local supplier being Hit Rent A Car. We were supposed to be met at the terminal on arrival, but no one showed up. We waited for nearly 3 hours in the rain, repeatedly trying to contact both VIP Cars and the supplier. VIP Cars did try to reach them, but we kept being told there was “traffic” causing delays.

It later became clear that Hit Rent A Car only had one staff member, who was juggling multiple pickups and drop-offs, which explains why we were left waiting for so long.

When we were finally collected, the situation got worse. The supplier:
• Refused to accept the insurance protection we had already purchased through VIP Cars
• Claimed their card machine was not working and refused to accept our Barclays credit card
• Used pressure tactics, warning that even a minor scratch would result in losing the full excess deposit
• Forced us to purchase their own very expensive in-house insurance

On top of that, they did not provide the car we originally booked and kept changing vehicles.

Throughout this entire process, VIP Cars was aware of what was happening, as we were in contact with them multiple times during the ordeal.

Despite this:
• We have not been compensated for the experience
• We have not received a refund for the insurance we purchased through VIP Cars, which we were never able to use

Overall, this was a stressful, time-consuming, and expensive experience. I would strongly recommend booking directly with a reputable rental company and avoiding situations like this altogether.

Zero star

Zero star. If you think you got a good deal with this company, expect Stress. You credit card even in your name stop working at their shop only. They refuse to collect you and other rental passengers at the airport. They refuse to check that their WiFi is off to decline your card. Rude and no customer service at all. How can they be listed on European comparison websites and BOOKERS!!!

Beware of the scam

Beware! Hit Rent a Car is a scam car hire company. The quoted online price is very cheap, but when you arrive to collect the car from their office, which is well away from the airport, they say your credit card won't work for the deposit (900 Euro). They then demand you either pay for their expensive all-inclusive insurance (30 Euros per day) or they will cancel your booking. You're faced with the choice of paying their fee or heading back to the airport in the hope of finding an alternative car to hire with no notice. My credit card has worked fine for car hire in every other country we've travelled to and worked fine for the rest of the trip to Turkey. It only wouldn't work for the Hit deposit. If you search on the internet, you can find other customers with similar complaints. I wish I'd checked before I arrived. Don't book with Hit Rent a Car!

Avoid Hit rent a car..You won’t get your car if you don’t pay for their overpriced insurance package. Your credit card “won’t work” on their machines for deposit, but it works if you pay the insurance premium package.

Absolutely appalling and frightening experience – avoid at all costs

Our experience with HIT Car Rental in Dubai was nothing short of shocking and deeply distressing.

We arrived in Dubai at 4:00am, exhausted after a long journey. A driver from HIT Car Rental picked us up from Terminal 1 and transported us to their office in Al Jaddaf. By the time we arrived, it was already early morning, and we were simply trying to complete the booking and get on with our trip.

We provided all required documentation and details exactly as requested. When it came time to pay, we used a credit card, which is explicitly stated as the required method of payment. Their merchant machine declined the card. Assuming it was a technical issue, we tried another credit card, which was also declined by their machine.

At this point, instead of offering assistance, solutions, or even basic courtesy, the staff member assisting us—who identified himself as Mohammed—became incredibly rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. Rather than helping resolve the issue, he was dismissive and hostile when I asked him “ok so what do we do now?” To which he responded “well, you don’t get the car, it’s as simple as that” Absolutely pathetic and disgusting human being.

The situation escalated to an absolutely unacceptable level when Mohammed threatened my husband with violence. At that moment, what was already a terrible customer service experience turned into something genuinely frightening. We were left horrified, shaken, and stranded without a car at around 6:00am, in a foreign country, with no support and no concern shown for our safety or wellbeing.

This is not just poor customer service—this is dangerous, intimidating, and completely unacceptable behavior from a company operating in the tourism and car rental industry. No customer should ever be spoken to or treated this way, let alone threatened.

I strongly urge anyone considering HIT Car Rental to stay far away. There are many car rental companies in Dubai—do yourself a favor and choose one that values professionalism, basic human decency, and customer safety. We will never use HIT Car Rental again and would never recommend them to anyone!!!!!

I find this company's practices criminal

I find this company's practices criminal. First, there's no office at the airport (the description states a location there). You're driven to a remote parking lot. There, you're forced to pay double the rental price for insurance, otherwise you don't get a car. And you can't get away because there's nothing around for miles. A truly fraudulent operation. I would never rent a car from this place again. And the cars are in a terrible condition.

Scamming company

Scamming company
When trying to deposit fixed amount and keep own liability insurance they say the Matercard is not working for deposit.
They give you a fake solution by selling very expensive insurance and then all of a suden the master card is working!
In my opinion this is a bad impression they give for the whole country and should be stopped

THE OWNER IS A SCAMMER

THE OWNER IS A SCAMMER! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY HAVE JUST SCAMMED US OUT OF €750 AND NOW WONT ANSWER THE CALLS. Believe the reviews and run far away from this company! We were supposed to give €189 to rent the car and €900 refundable deposit. Instead the company demanded €750 upon arrival with no deposit, so now I am €550 out of pocket! DO NOT USE! SCAMMERS!

I booked a car through GotRental in UK. They cancelled the booking highlighting I did not reach on time. A booking that costed me £42, they charged me £150. Further they did not recognise the payment made to Gotrental.

⚠️ WARNING – Fraud / Unfair Practices: Hit Rent a Car – Antalya Airport (June 2025)

My name is Robert. I booked a car through VIP Cars for a suspiciously low price of €40 for the week. When I arrived to pick up the car, it became clear that the low price was just bait, as the branch tried to make up the difference with extremely expensive insurance:

They wanted to add insurance for €220, which is many times more than the rental itself.

When I refused the insurance, the staff falsely claimed my card didn’t work and refused to hand over the car.

My bank confirmed that no attempt to block funds was made. The terminal printed error 902 “MESAJ HATASI”, which is a terminal/merchant error, not my fault.

Despite this, the branch falsely recorded the cancellation as “insufficient funds” and stopped all communication after I provided proof.

This practice is clearly unfair – the low advertised price is only used to lure customers, who are then forced to pay huge additional fees for insurance.

Based on my personal experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this branch, and if possible, the entire Hit Rent a Car company.

Stay Away!! Choose another rental company

I’m leaving a one-star review due to a terrible experience with the unprofessional— Hit Rent a Car.

I booked a rental car for 1:00 a.m. on the 11th of October at Dubai Airport. Although communication before pickup was fine, I had to wait around 45 minutes before being collected. The driver himself was polite and helpful, so no complaints there. However, he took me to their office, which was about 15–20 minutes away from the airport — something that was never mentioned beforehand.

When I arrived, the manager was not present, and the driver helped start the paperwork. Once the manager finally appeared, he asked me to pay a AED 4,000 deposit for a basic car, which I found excessive. For comparison, other reputable companies like Thrifty and Drivus only charged me AED 1,500 and AED 1,000 respectively.

I tried to pay the deposit by Amex, as my booking confirmation clearly stated they accepted it. However, I was told, “We’ve stopped taking Amex.” Then came the pressure to buy an optional insurance policy costing three times the rental price. The manager claimed all his customers take this cover and that I wouldn’t need to pay a deposit if I did. I declined, as I always choose the basic insurance. He was clearly unhappy with that and reluctantly proceeded with the booking after I paid the deposit using another card.

He then tried to charge an additional AED 80 for collecting the car “out of office hours” and another AED 80 for returning it during the same period — charges that were never mentioned in my booking terms. He even pulled out his own contract to justify them. I pointed out that my booking times were clearly provided and should have been included in the quoted price. He shifted the blame to the broker, claiming it was their issue.

When I insisted he honour the booking as agreed, he refused — leaving me stranded at 3 a.m. without a car. I had no choice but to find another rental company on my own.

My advice: stay far away from Hit Rent a Car and be cautious when booking through Rentcars unless they remove this company from their listings. Hit Rent a Car shows zero concern for customer satisfaction — their only interest is squeezing as much money as possible from unsuspecting travellers.
