hmv (UK) - Chester Reviews 

I was able to buy a Blu-ray for a film recent release for the same price as streaming rental, with the bonus that I could visit a wonderful, quirky high street store. The staff member was helpful when I couldn't find what I was looking for.

Great experience and easy to shop. More live bands earlier on in the day of Saturday

I ordered a new turntable for a birthday present. The purchasing process, was easy enough. The delivery was quick easy to trace with good packaging. The staff was kind and attentive during collection at the store.

Got confused between store order and on line. Clearly I mis-read the website. Saw an album I wanted which indicated, I thought, it was in stock at my local store so I ordered it. When I got there they did have it but ‘my copy’ was being delivered later. Took the one they’d got, rang HMV and they assured me I’d get a refund on my on-line purchase. She didn’t call me a muppet, but was very pleasant and polite. And guess what. It worked. Album in hand and muppet refund within 5 days.

I use HMV store for purchasing vinyl and find their Chester store staff brilliant. But the real test of a good company is how they deal with a customer being stupid!

I was searching for reasonably priced Wayne’s World blu-rays. Best price on the internet. Collected from Chester store. Really pleasant people on the tills and the shop was jam-packed full of stuff. Just like when I used to go as a teenager. Really happy the brand has been resurrected and the shops have such an enticing range of things. Even bought my nephew a gift card, like my uncle used to do for me. :-)

Whenever I go there it’s like stepping into my dream land, it’s the greatest place with the kindest staff. They are always helpful and always happy to help. And matty is just a chill guy

It's probably the only place left to buy music in a CD format. Easy to use website - well stacked - friendly staff.

When I placed the order, it stated the item was in the local store. Before I was advised it was available,I was in the area and called in the store hoping to collect the item, and hoped the order could replace the one in the store. It appeared this simple transaction was not possible and the unhelpful assistant scoffed that maybe I should have had it delivered to my home.

Ordered it in store on day out to Chester , delivered promptly to my a address, was a present for my granddaughter , not sure of the guys name but he was great

There was a fault with the ultra HD box set of discs. HMV did not have any replacements in stock but very kindly offered to order a new set. The new set arrived in the store in two days. The staff were very kind and very helpful and the service second to none. Thank you for the replacement discs.

Helped us find the last Lego set for Xmas !

The store assistant was so helpful when we went to the Chester store to purchase the Wave Lego set, seemingly the only one anywhere in the north west ! It had sold in the morning before we were in the shop in the afternoon . She located one set left in head office and ordered it to store for us to collect
