INot great customer service. received an email that my item had…
I received an email that my item had been dispatched, with instructions to wait for a further email confirming it had arrived at my local HMV store ready for collection. Although I patiently waited I received no confirmation email and eventually contacted the store. Initially they denied any knowledge of my order arriving, but it was eventually located and I have now collected . Not great customer service.

Satisfaction
Ordering was easy. The staff at the shop let me know when my item was ready to collect and when I went to collect from the Lincoln branch the woman was very friendly and polite, and told me to have a good day.

ARE HMV REALLY FOR THE FANS?
This is a rewrite of a previous review.
HMV sent me an email which is headed "We're for the Fans". In my own personal experience, that isn't true. True fans tend to pre-order and pre-pay for forthcoming releases. They have a right to be and expect to be at the front of the queue when those items arrive instore, That didn't happen with the Beatles single "Now and Then". Customers such as myself got their order after casual shoppers. When I went to collect my order, I was told it hadn't arrived yet there were plenty of single behind the counter but I wasn't allowed to have those unless I paid again!!! It made me wonder if HMV was run by a fan of Monty Python!
If HMV are going to say things like "We're for the Fans" then they not only have to mean it but they must also deliver on it and they failed badly on this occasion.

From going in to the shop and enquiring about a CD, within a few minutes it was ordered and delivered under a week,we were informed when it was dispatched and then delivered to the shop, excellent service and staff., would highly recommend.
