Just bought some craft card - excellent quality and reasonably priced. Only fault was that it came in “book” form and I had to slice the top off each page because it was sticky 7/3/26

Damaged Goods…

I normally have great things to say about Hobbycraft.
But I'm so shocked by my current experience I feel I need to warn other customers.
I ordered a knitting machine, very expensive, it was a gift for my 60th birthday. It arrived damaged. Ok customer services were great and I got a refund. And then ordered it again in their black Friday sale. It arrived 2 days later, not next day delivery as offered. It was used, I mean it had dents all over the case, the tools were dented and broken. It had obviously been used and returned. So in the black Friday sale they sale you an item at discount but it's Not New. I complained to customer services, emailed pictures of the used item. Now 3 days later, I've had to chase them for an update. Remember at full price I order this machine and the carriage didn't work.

Best Quality and Service.

Online ordering is easy and goods are quickly and safely sent in amazing packaging. Their A4 storage boxes are very high quality and that has never wavered since I first purchased them some years ago. I would recommend this company without reservation. Many thanks for great service.

Unclear Vouchers

I was sent a 25% off voucher so I made a special trip to the Havant branch where they told me it was only to be used on Christmas items, whatever they are. I told her that the voucher didn’t specify that but she wouldn’t accept it. When I got home I checked the email and apart from saying Christmas, which I took to be a gift from them to customers, no restrictions were on there.

I ordered a click and collect item and…

I ordered a click and collect item and had to pay £2.00 for collection odd i thought however decided to pay as an OAP I can stand for a long time.
When I arrived I was told to join the long line. The person I spoke to in Southampton was really abrupt. To be honest the goods looked cheap anyway.
My complaint to hobby craft was at best short with not even an offer to refund the collect fee. Although they did on my second contract. better shop else where

DONT use very poor service very poor goods. Can
Avoid like the plague

Enticing new customers with discounts that do not work.

They offered 15% off as a joining gift - when I tried to purchase an item after browsing through it said code not valid.
What a great wastage of time.

Hobby craft really needs an online…

Hobby craft really needs an online click and collect order service that actually works! Online it says it is in stock. So payment is taken and order confirmed. 24h later email received to say order in stock at Plymouth store and ready to collect. But on arrival the order is short of 2 items. Why confirm order and take payment when you cannot fulfil an order? To top it all off was offered a credit note instead of a refund on the goods that had been paid for and not delivered. Only rectified when I insisted.

The package was delivered to the wrong…

The package was delivered to the wrong address, I showed them what the door and doormat looked like, so they could tell me it looked like the one on the Royal Mail confirmation, when the mats were completely different, except that it was the same number on the apartment, they said it looked similar and that was it. When it came to the wrong address, they said I should file a theft complaint, when wrong delivery is not theft, it's wrong delivery. They won't refund my money until I file a complaint, and I paid around £50 which isn't £2... The first time I ordered it, I saw that they had ads everywhere and I was deeply disappointed.
As far as I know, the seller is responsible for the delivery and if there are any problems, the seller solves them, not the buyer. Especially since I don't know what happened there and why it was delivered incorrectly, I can't write a complaint that it's theft.

Unfriendly staff in Southampton

Visited the Southampton store; Great selection of materials and all kinds of arts and crafts but the staff are like robots; cold, stand-offish and look down their noses at everyone. Thought it was maybe just a one off but visited again today and it was the same thing. All of them look like they’re being held against their will and have yet to see one of them smile. One lady asked about the post office that was advertised as being in-store and was shut down immediately with a very haughty ‘not open yet’ as if she should already know this when there were no obvious signs to tell her otherwise, and even then the staff member never informed her that it opens tomorrow, I only know this from other local reviews. Such a shame because it’s the only one we have local to us and my gran loves it but the unfriendly demeanor of the staff really does bring it down and if we could take my gran elsewhere for her supplies then we would.
