Another Year Of Reinvesting Made Easy
I can't speak highly enough of Hodge Bank, I have a 1 year Savings Bond that I have reinvested for yet another year. The renewal process is straightforward, but I did call in just to check a couple of details. I was answered immediately by a very helpful lady who assisted me with all my questions and helped me navigate around the website.

Unacceptable delay in a maturing fund
I have a Fixed Rate account that was due to mature on 18 May, containing a large amount of money. It is now 8 days after that date and no transfer has been made although I gave clear maturity instructions over a month beforehand for it to be transferred to an Easy Access account. I have rung Hodge and sent emails but still no progress. I need access to some of this money which is being withheld.This is totally unacceptable and I have never encountered such inefficiency from any savings institution. I have made a formal complaint but still no sign of movement.
I had written a review previously complimenting Hodge on the ease of opening an account - I had no idea that it would be so difficult to get any money back.
P.S. The issue has now been resolved satisfactorily after 9 days but it did need a lot of prodding, including this review. There was a systems error but it took a long time for it to be sorted.

Efficient Transferring
I closed a maturing fund and opened the new account with just one set of instructions. Everything was carried out as I asked and I received a confirmation email early on the maturing date. It was the easiest transfer I have ever made.
