My first experience shopping with this…
My first experience shopping with this company was not good at all . I placed almost £100 of goods and dpd decided to deliver to the wrong address and no-one was there so they delivered it to a supermarket... really. I couldn't collect it so I contacted homebrew online which you can't ring only email.. weird. Took a few hrs to reply with the usual apology and said they couldn't send a new order out as they were out of stock so I would have to wait til dpd returned it to them then redeliver. I waited and still nothing. I checked there website and they had all my items and agreed to send me my order. I waited again and still nothing. After almost 3 weeks they apologised and gave me a refund which by now messed up my brewing schedule and cost me more money as I had to reorder some items from amazon. I did receive my refund and decided to order from dark rock brewing and within 36hrs I received my order from them.i shall in future only order from dark rock as they are excellent which homebrew online are not. Be warned

We're sorry to hear about the bad delivery experience you have had. After checking the DPD tracking I can see that they tried to deliver to you but there was no answer. They then left the parcel at a local pick point for you to collect. However unfortunately you were not able to collect it. As mentioned in our email correspondence we did not have enough stock available to send your order, so we asked if you would like to wait for DPD to return it to us and then resend to you. You confirmed this was okay but unfortunately DPD took a long time to return it so we refunded you instead. Consequently the parcel was returned to us. We're very sorry that you had this experience. DPD do have an app that allows you to choose a safe place or a preferred neighbour to deliver to for instances such as these. Apologies again for the delivery problem.
