Finally managed to get a confirmed survey date for a property that is ongoing a complete overhaul, the surveyor phoned the morning of the day the survey was meant to of happened complaining about snow in the local area.... the surveyer lives literally 5 minutes from me but says he can't get his "BMW" off the drive and would be with me in the morning... there was literally less than 1cm on the ground. He was told the importance of this survey, only to later phone and tell me he had a doctors appointment on the following day..... "what, it takes all day"!!!!!

So we are now Mid week, he finally turns up, carries out his survey and promises a rapid turn around on the report (typically 5-10 days standard turn around)... I had to wait 19 days to get it.

I asked him numerous times when at the property is there any issues that I can get on with to which the reply was no, all pretty standard stuff, only to get things in the report that require a lot of work.

Will NEVER use these again, absolutely unprofessional at every level

Nutshell .. look for another company that can do real survey and take your concerns in a serious and professional way.. unlike this company which took my concerns like a joke!!

So, their appointments are terrible .. and they break deals ..

They started doing the outside survey opening my garden doors not in my presence and offcourse without my permission and when we arrived they will tell you we have been doing survey for 1 hr .. I have neighbours videos that they didn’t even do it 30 min .. really bad and pathetic not to tell the truth.

Next is the inside survey, another joke doing the inside survey in 22 min !!! For a level 2 survey!!! Unbelievable!!

Send them whatever in terms of complaints, go and repeat your self they have no one to take it as serious and zero customer service. I won’t be surprised if they are going to reply to this review by “ please do not hesitate to contact us directly should you wish to further discuss” because this is the best they can do and nothing will happen afterwards.

Finally they sent me the report after 2 weeks with wrong address and findings that my self I noted double what they found!!!

Complete waste of time and money guys!! AVOID

My daughter is a first time buyer and booked Your Survey. Excellent from start to finish all within a week, surveyor booked in within week and received copy of very thorough report the next day. Highly recommend and good price 😊

Steve purcell turned up late for our morning appointment and smelt of alcohol.
his report took 3weeks to come back to us and it was trully shocking. copy and pasted from a template easily found on the internet.
please research before booking this company.
Mr Purcell has been a 'director' of many companies, he then goes bust and makes a phoneix company, probably because he gets 'found out' please check out companies house before parting with your money to this CONman!

On booking a level 3, I enquired to numerous other companies but decided to choose Your Survey due to being middle of the road on price. How wrong I was.
Surveyor turned up for 15 minutes for a level 3 survey and then took 11 working days to issue the very basic report which I had to chase. I know there are issues with the property, none of which were picked up by Steve Purcell. DO NOT USE

very quick booking in the survey and I also didnt expect the survey report to also be completed and returned so quickly. Less than 24 hours later this was completed which means I can swiftly inform my solicitors and push forward with my purchase. The survey was detailed and gave good direction for changes to make. Thank you!

Super fast level 3 survey booked and completed. Very thorough report and we were also able to speak to the surveyor directly afterwards with some queries. Would recommend.

Didn’t proceed with survey but what I did find out when my phone bill came in was that I was charged £5 for a 5 minute call!

Definitely did not conduct a level 3 survey, areas of house couldn’t be inspected due to home owners belongings in the way in loft , no pictures, very vague report and a lot of covering their a*sen comments , issues of asbestos in roof flagged up when I contact to ask why they thought that the surveyor ignored every call and email and had to pay for a £200 test of roof material to tell me there was no trace of asbestos , would not recommend this company at all it’s cheaper for a reason !!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I used this company after a recommendation from a friend. They were priced well, very friendly & kept me informed throughout. I would definitely use them again on my next purchase.

This was my first time buying a property and had no idea which service I needed or anything. I called Your Survey and the person on the phone was very helpful in breaking down what each survey does cover which then guided me to know which survey I required, my survey was then booked and arranged within a day for the next week, I was told the turn around time was 5-10 working days and the report was sent out within the timescale.

Couldn’t ask for better surveyors to come to the property, have a clear explanation and understanding. We paid the full amount what was quoted, we was given a planned date and the surveyor came successfully and then was given a report out in 5 days this helped us with all the useful recommendations and advice for our property. Great business!

We initially had reservations about using this company after reading some of the reviews, but we decided to see for ourselves and we are glad we did. We had a Building Survey conducted on a property we are in the process of purchasing and we have been happy with the whole process. We payed the figure quoted, we received a date for the survey and the surveyor attended the property as planned; we then received the report within 6 days and the surveyor gave us helpful recommendations and questions which we were able to pose to our sellers solicitors. All in all, we would recommend Your Survey.

One star is really higher than they deserve. This is a complete scam. We paid for a full building survey. This is not what we received in the slightest. The survey we were provided with contained general statements which could have related to any property. The report clearly indicated that a full survey had not been carried out. It even contained a statement that the flat roof above the garage was inaccessible….you can see it just by putting up a step ladder! They even said they couldn’t see it with binoculars which is just laughable. We asked for this to be looked into and continued to either receive rude responses disregarding our comments or no responses at all. We asked to be referred to the complaints team and this never happened. Please do not use them it may seem good value but it’s cheap because they clearly don’t do a proper job and charge you up front so you can’t get any kind of refund. The survey was unusable and we had to get another one carried out and thank god we did as it picked up so much that hadn’t been identified by the survey we received from your survey.
