Damage product no real customer service

I received my shed from home base but when we open the box which wasn’t damaged to find that part of the shed was badly damaged so I tried calling home base to complain they told me the only way to complain is by email or them stupid chat things
They have no real customer complaints phone numbers so no real complaints service at all I’ve paid two men to fit it plus a electrical man as I was putting my washing machine & fridge in it I think for such a big company they should have real people to complain two why can they get away with such a crappy service

Web site very easy for me to use.

Web site very easy for me to use.. the a.o delivery guys very polite and helpful and kept is informed on delivery date and time … perfect.. would recommend delivery was 10/11/24. Thanx.. Leicester homebase

Dreadful experience with Click and…

Dreadful experience with Click and Collect. Item ordered (glass shelf for bathroom) was totally unsaleable as box had been opened and chrome wall fittings were missing. This would have been clearly apparent to whoever picked this for sale (had they cared). It would also have saved me a 2 hour round trip.

Outstanding Customer Service and Expertise from Jake at Homebase Leicester

I recently visited Homebase Leicester and had the pleasure of being assisted by Jake, who provided outstanding customer service. From the moment I approached him, he was incredibly friendly and approachable, making me feel comfortable asking for help. His welcoming demeanor immediately set a positive tone for my shopping experience.

I was looking for a waterproof sealant, and Jake’s knowledge in this area was truly impressive. He listened attentively to my needs and asked insightful questions to ensure he understood exactly what I was looking for. It was clear that he had a deep understanding of the products available, as he was able to explain the differences between various options in a way that was easy to understand, even for someone without much DIY experience like myself. He didn’t just point me to a product; he took the time to explain why a particular sealant would work best for my project, which gave me confidence in my purchase.

What stood out even more was Jake’s courteous and professional attitude throughout the interaction. He was patient and never made me feel rushed, despite my many questions. It’s rare to find someone who combines both product knowledge and such exceptional customer service, but Jake did this effortlessly. His demeanor was calm and reassuring, and I left feeling well-informed and satisfied with my choice.

In addition to his expertise and friendliness, Jake went above and beyond by offering advice on how to properly apply the sealant for the best results, which was incredibly helpful. It’s clear that he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about ensuring customers leave with the right products and the confidence to use them effectively.

Overall, Jake made my experience at Homebase Leicester a truly positive one. I am grateful for his assistance and would not hesitate to recommend him to others. Homebase is lucky to have such a dedicated and knowledgeable employee on their team.

Very bad customer service

I have received a message to say ‘Thanks for collecting your order’ and asked to rate it on trust pilot. No one has even collected it yet. One of the items was even cancelled because it wasn’t in store rather than it being delivered to store for collection.

Don’t order online !

Ordered a strimmer online which was accepted, but at the store could see they did not have it. But was told you have to wait for at least an hour after online order. After an hour was told”sorry we don’t have it”, but was offered a totally different product. Had buy another similar product, and pay straightaway, but money for cancelled online order will take 3-5 working days for refund !!

Sadly, one the refund has been processed by us it is instant but can take your bank 2-5 working days to process this back to you. We'll ensure this is fed back to the store.

Plant pots not up to standard of order was great but when I got…

Most of order was great but when I got home two of the terracotta pots had damage. One of your colleagues kindly loaded the car for me as I walk with a stick so it wasn’t noticed until my husband began unloading the pots for me at home. He said had I noticed one had a v shaped chunk out of the rim and the second one a crack in the inside lining. We then left them in my car to return to store. They were stacked inside each other I should imagine but not when loaded into my car. In any case they wouldn’t last very well in that state so it was silly to try and sell them.
After ringing a colleague at the Leicester Homebase where I collected my order he very helpfully went to check if there were two more as showing on his stock
list to replace mine. However when he checked they too were damaged. He offered to refund me for the pots and I am taking them back tomorrow when I can get help to lift them out of my car again. Jack was the name of the person I spoke to. He was extremely helpful as were the staff who processed my order and helped me to my car.
It is just a shame that the merchandise wasn’t checked as it was put on the trolley for my collection next to the Information desk.
All in all I was just commenting how much better customer service seemed compared with a year or two ago.
