Homebase - Romford Reviews 

I'm not happy after spending time and money on garden plants as well as choosing paint colours, to be landed with a £60 parking fine for overstaying my welcome. With only 60mins free parking available apparently I won't be going there again until they decided to put up clear and fair parking charge notices. I can't pay for more than 60 mins and i have no intention of timing my shopping experience. I'd rather pay an honest parking fee for going there than face a dishonest fine!

Excellent click and collect

Laura was awesome on the helpdesk. Made my visit very easy.

I had a call from Laura after I had ordered it to say that as they had a delivery and it would delay them fulfilling the order as they were unable to access the yard, so the order pick up would be later in the day. I spoke to her when I collected my order and she was very polite and helpful

We got our dream house recently but as many family, we don't have much money left for refurbishment. I had 100 ideas of my house styles, which drives my partner crazy. My partner was dragged to Homebase to look around, then he grabbed the kitchen lady Lesley, who quickly helped us to make a plan. Surprisingly I was happy with it and we chose to use the 0 interest finance, which freed up some cash for us to work on something else. Lesley even helped us to deal with 2 other tricky situations. Lesley is a superstar!

Really friendly, helpful staff with a sense of humour! They had me giggling all the way to the car 😂

Having a range of garden storage bins in store so I could see for myself how much they could store and then dealing with a lovely lady on the Information Desk. Rodha was extremely helpful and a delight to deal with.

Young woman at the tills was very helpful, polite And smiley. It was a very good experience.

Beware of this store parking. There is trap to the customers who park more than one hour for a such big place. Once you park then the time ticks and if you exceed few minutes after one hour they will charge 100 pounds. Please avoid this place for shopping.

Used the website & visited store, was a little dissapointed inside the store it doesn't look great & seems a little sad?
But on the other hand the staff are great, always really friendly & happy to help/assist you.

Was served by a lady called Lesley this lady was so very pleasant and helpful the paint I needed was not in stock she ordered and also dealt with another query I had - she is always so helpful I have had the pleasure of being served by this lady before she is an asset to the Romford store.

💯 as always. I can't fault the staff. I had two very heavy paint tubs (didn't realise just how heavy) and staff were great and offered to carry them. Behind the counter my plant pots were kept safely until I could get them. Always helpful and friendly. Thank you 😊

I came to your Romford store on Saturday afternoon the 30th of March having checked on line that there was stock available, I required a can of paraffin. Upon entering the main entrance I was greeted by a member of your Security store and asked if he could help me. I explained that I wanted some paraffin and he immediately said that if I followed him he would show me where he thought it would be. We looked in the area where he thought it would be then he caught the eye of a person who was restocking shelves and asked him where paraffin was displayed. He took us to the stock and got a can down for me. My Security man took me to the checkouts where a very friendly young lady processed my purchase. It is rarely the case these days that such helpful and polite staff are so willing to give a customer their time. It was a joy to shop at Homebase and my thanks to the staff involved.
