The people there are very helpful, easy to understand instructions given, I haven't completed the course yet. But if the tutors are anything like the staff that enrol you, it's going to be great!

Shocking interactions with Student Services
I've been with Avado (then Home Learning College) since my Level 2 AAT course and due to initial positive experience I elected to sign up for the combined Levels 3 and 4. There were issues with the webpage during the Level 3 but these were miniscule and overall the experience was positive. However, this changed when calling to request access be provided to the Level 4 materials following the completion of my last Level 3 exam.
I called Student Services to request access and was told the next start date was in April and I would have some access to the material within a couple of days, however, when this was not available I called up to query and was told that I was incorrectly informed and there was no start date in April, only in February and June. I asked to be registered with the February intake and was told that was fine and I would receive the updated reading material within 3-5 working days. This was over a month ago, and despite over 12 calls, an hour and half of time on the phone and false promises, I have been told to call the publishers to fix the issue myself, blind transferred to the publisher with no advice or references, leaving myself and the person answering it confused, false information provided on multiple occasions, promised callbacks on multiple occasions and many more frustrating issues. To date I still have not received the materials I need, had online reading materials removed from my account and I am still being charged for it.
The service has been truly appalling and I would advise any who are considering joining Avado to be aware of this to save this happening to you also.

I am very sorry to hear of the difficulties you've faced and appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback.
I understand that having recently transferred over to the new AQ2016 syllabus for the next level of your AAT studies, there have been some delays in receiving your updated textbooks. We are aware that following the transfer, you were sent a duplicate set of AQ2013 syllabus text books. Since this issue was identified, we looked to rectify this as a matter of urgency, however, there were further delays providing you with a dispatch of the correct hard copy materials.
Further to this, I’m aware that although access to the online learning areas and weekly reading were released there were also difficulties accessing the weekly reading in a PDF format which you could take offline. This was later resolved but I completely understand that this only increased your frustration.
In relation to your comments about having been referred to a publisher, I am unable to locate any record of this and as we publish all our own AAT textbooks, this should not have been the case. We do however work with a printing service and courier company, hoping to arrange a seamless process for the delivery of hard copy materials, which has clearly failed in this instance.
All in all, this is not the experience we want our students to have, and I’m very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. I wish to reassure you that the concerns raised have been fed back to the Student Services team who will be working hard to ensure this doesn’t happen again with any other upgrading students.
According to our records, the new (correct!) books have arrived with you this morning, and you have since been in touch with our Student Operations Team Leader, reaching a suitable resolution to allow you to continue with your studies.
I apologise once again for the combination of technical issues and human error that have led to you having so many problems. Your experience has been unacceptable and we will be doing everything in our power to improve, both for you and students in the future. I hope that we can restore your confidence in us, and if you do have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Student Services Team.

Great admissions service
I researched many training providers before settling on Avado. I'm glad I made the choice to sign up with them for the AAT bookkeeping course.
The admissions service has been excellent. Quick response to questions, stayed in touch with me, answered queries late in the evening and the person I spoke to was informative. Materials for the course were received within a matter of days and my tutor introduced herself very quickly after signing up.
Although there were some cheaper training providers out there, Avado provides over and above some of these and there are no hidden costs with them. I am confident my positive view will continue when my course starts.

Rip Off
Been trying to contact this company for months for a refund on my exam fees of exams I never took with the college and they do not respond to emails. I have sent them countless emails and nothing. I wont go on about how I never ended up doing the course but, have accepted this as a loss but, am entitled to get exams fees I paid the college that they never paid out for.

I’m sorry to learn of your concerns raised in this post and thank you for the time you’ve taken to let us know of your concerns.
Your specific course was supplied through the Home Learning College (now known as AVADO Learning) and was inclusive of exam fees. A refund of fees would only be due if a cancellation of training was processed within the statutory cancellation period allowed which is 14 days from the day of enrolment. Students who enrolled under this agreement in 2009 were given a time frame within which to complete studies and achieve their qualification.
I confirm that students from this period had until 6 months after the course expiration date within which to undertake examinations or extend tutorial support if the training programme remains available for study.
AVADO Learning remains a training provider of AAT training and although the course has gone through a number of updates since your initial enrolment you retain the option to achieve a completion by extending tutorial support with the student services team.
I have asked our Student Services Team to look over your student records and note the last communication received from you was in 2013, when additional access to the learning facilities was granted until 2014. We have been unable to find any further contact from you since this time.
Our Student Services Team will be reaching out to you in order to gain more information from you in relation any communication you sent and feel has not been answered, and will be able to discuss the potential of upgrading your course and extending support. The man that I spoke to on the phone was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining to me in detail the courses available and which was best for me.
