This web site seems to me like its full of time wasters big time. We have had people come to our home had a good old nosey around only to say I will let you know. One person was sleeping on the floor in there living room because didn't have enough bed rooms, but they refused our house because the back garden was too small. The latest one was I need a bigger house for my girls came round showed him around same thing garden too small. These people need to get there priorities right. They are looking at houses as if there buying them for christ sake.

I had quite a few viewings from this website. But I got a mutual exchange swap, from another site. The only downside is that there isn't enough council properties within my local area. But overall a good service to use, if you are considering a home swap.

Can’t say the app is bad it does the job but I have paid for 2 years in a row the first year was great I had so many options but this second year after I’ve messaged 400 people I only have 1 mutual match and it’s been the same like that for 4 months+ I just feel it was such a waste of money.

I'm stuck sleeping on the sofa with a boy and girl sharing one room, I've tried and tried with this app so if anyone in these reviews has a 2/3 and wants to downsize to a 1 bed please like the comment so we can email
DANGER!!! I have now had a personal email from HomeSwap .Apparently someone has made a GDPR information request to them in my name .How very dangerous that there are people on HomeSwap with Stalker mentality .
Furthermore , a person in my vicinity, also on HomeSwap, found it necessary to come bashing on my door at frequent intervals .We ignored her . So when exiting the property she intercepted myself to inform me that she knows that I am using HomeSwap and that she has found a match for me and when I said that I wont be interested thankyou , she then tried to insist that I was to get into a vehicle with these people , whom she claims are her friends, in order to be taken to somewhere in rural Kent (allegedly) to see the property which I did not apply for .
BE WARNED ! THERE IS CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER POSSIBLE ON HOMESWAP .EXTREME CARE IS ADVISED WHEN USING .
We got our move. A 5 way swap completed our moving journey. I gave 4 stars as they do not consider those with poor health. They are a great way to get a move out of your current district. Their site is easy to use.

I have a feeling that majority of people who wrote negative comments are yet to figure out how the Homeswapper website works. I swapped once through the Homeswapper website and in my opinion it is the best and most convenient tool in finding a swap. People will always be people and of course there will be always time wasters, I myself have seen lots of them during these years. But that is not a fault of the website. They already introduced a system where if you don’t reply to a message you can’t communicate with other swappers. And also the people who didn’t show up for a while their ad gets grey. So I think they are trying their best and do a good job helping many to swap. I personally know quite a few people who swapped through this website. And after all swapping your home is a really big thing, so you have to be careful and consider many things so that after you wouldn’t need to swap again.

Notifications coming through daily when they’re not from swappers but only from Homeswapper. Then you click on the links they’ve sent about potential matches, which don’t work. Then you can’t message people because you have messages you haven’t replied to, which are only from homeswapper. Don’t you think this is a bit stupid?

Not understanding the process Can you please explain ?? I found a swap Iam in a 2 bed property my swap was in a 2 bed However after doin paperwork now told no go as it would be under occupied Does this mean I can only swap to a 1 bed property as I am a single person living in a 2 bed

Firstly on trying to log in the screen is jumping all over ! Secondly the constant emails to say someone has ‘liked’ your property… who cares … i want toknow when someones interested in an exchange not that they like my pics ! No wonder i was told not to bother with this site by others who've used before. Come on major improvements needed & I see from the other posts that their response is ‘pass the buck’ knowing that youl get nowhere with contacting customer service ! Then server doesnt respond 🤷♀️ proves my point

It’s been straight forward although taken a long time in general to find a house. But HomeSwapper has been great.

This must be the most awkward, disjointed site on the web. The first issue I have is that you cannot sign in 2 days running. It doesn't recognise your email or password, even when you generate a new one using their own system!
The other issue is that the design is childish and not professional. All those primary , girly colours may look very nice if you are an 8 year old, but not if you are partially sighted and cannot read grey letters on pink backgrounds. Why they didn't use a professional web designer instead of Brenda in the back office!
Finally how do you contact this company? Contact details are hidden away and their telephone number has been removed because of too many complaints. They need to re-design the site in a more user friendly style that allows those with sight problems able to navigate. And please...stop this 80% match when searching. It is either a match or it is not. Perhaps the CEO who hides away would like to comment on the issues I have raised. In the mean time I shall use other more user friendly sites.

I don't know why homeswapper staff don't help at all.
You got stupid people who want to move from same place to same place!!!!! And don't actually want to move but just pretend they want to move just to annoy all the ones who actually do!!!!,
It's like they just want people to big up there property. Compliments joke.
I’ve been reading other tenants comments and I agree.
There’s a lot of TIME WAISTERS on the site they contact you without reading your AD when you contact them they act like they never messaged you. I was going to put on my AD male perfered as many women on this site can waist your time.
There looking for houses like there buying them I’m a female myself but come on women you can be to much on what you’re looking for I get you need to check everything out a be sure but sometimes it’s to much let down the site often comes up with password not correct and lately you can not even tap on homeswap it keeps jumping. I perfered the old way since they updated its not the best

This site is absolutely useless. Keeps emailing saying I’ve got new matches when I don’t.
I’ve been registered with Home swapper for YEARS…never had anything close to luck- only time wasters. And why are people allowed to upload their home with NO PICTURES?????????????
How on earth can you expect people to enquire about a place they haven’t seen? Let alone move to a place they haven’t seen…RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!
USELESS PATHETIC WEBSITE AND IM YET TO TALK TO ANYBODY THAT HAS ACTUALLY GOTTEN A SUCCESSFUL SWAP.

Was on homeswapper for over 2yrs without any success until I had the match I was hoping for when I was contacted by a homeswapper who at first wasn’t interested after viewing and then later changing there mind and after submitting the application to move all was sorted and moved in taking a total of 10wks but could be quicker or longer depending on circumstances with how quickly your able to move once approved after the 42 day decision.
Overall it turned out very satisfactory for me getting the ground floor flat I’ve always wanted and within walking distance of my relatives.
I deducted 1 star because I wasn’t getting important message reply notifications and having discovered this I could have moved at least a month or more earlier so after agreeing to move we used mobile text messages and calls.
But what I would say to anyone who has given up hoping of finding what they want just stick in there as there’s always someone who wants what you have I was in a 1st floor flat and never thought I’d get a swap with a ground floor but I did because of where my flat was located it was more to them than a ground so where happy 👍

They force you to change password and when you request a new one they take hours or days to email you one.
My email provider has nothing to do with it, you decided force us to change password if we don’t sign in on a regular basis you lock the account forcing us to get a new password if you stopped that garbage then we would not need to change password.
Take some responsibility and stop blaming others for you decisions.

took about a year all said and done.
i had to pay off my rent arrears, then i had off all my bills, then i had to put myself in credit with the rent for 5 weeks, then i had do the same with the bills, then i had juggle those, then i had to have an electrical check, then a landlord check, then paper work, then a paper work check. i opened my home swapper account in late 2021 and swapped successfully in may 2023.
i was told that I was unusually fast. i was paying about £1600 per month with bills and now i am paying £750 per month including bills WITH a right to buy whenever i want.
HomeSwapper helps me to find the house I want. Also, allows me to view many houses, and communicate with many people. Also, the website was very easy to use and provide all the required information to help make the right decision.
