Absolutely craps and worst of all the customer service is extremely lousy and dishonesty!! We bought two carpet cleaners and a spot cleaner and all stopped working within few months or a year. They... See more

Broken Tumble. Not Solved for over a Month.
Bad communication. Never answer messages. Never answer calls. Will not buy a hoover product again. STAY AWAY.
Hoover Canada has terrible customer…
Hoover Canada has terrible customer support. Hoover shipped me two steam cleaners instead of one - their error as the first order was cancelled. I have returned the surplus cleaner, received by Hoover almost nine weeks ago, and a refund has not yet appeared.
Customer service is next to useless - 'this is a busy time for refunds', 'we have told finance this is urgent' (latter was said to me 3 weeks ago). I have spoke to customer service at least four times. Hoover has NO PATHWAY to speak to anyone with any power to refund my money. I am big time pissed.
What an absolute joke
What an absolute joke. Tumble dryer broke on the 2nd December. Engineer out 3 times, first time said the panel is broken which is what I had already told them as we had the fault with 8months off owing the dryer. 2nd visit came with the panel but no mother board, 3rd visit came with mother board but it was broken. The next 3 appointments have been cancelled as can’t get hold off the part. Wrote a complaint nobody has responded, called today and got told that they would offer a discount on a new appliance but couldn’t tell me what discount they would offer. Asked to speak to a manager and got told to contact the complaints team. Obviously the management team don’t want to hear about how bad the products are and leave the poor customer service team to deal with upset customers.
Hoover appliances have been the worst I have ever owned, i also have an inter-grated dishwasher which has completely destroyed the drawers and door of my island that it’s installed in.
If I was you I would stay well away from hoover.
What has happened to the Hoover Vacuum…
What has happened to the Hoover Vacuum Cleaners? I purchased one just under a year ago (Hoover Complete Performance Advanced) Vacuum. I am so disappointed with this vacuum until I do not know where to begin. I have used the Hoover brand for over 40 years and I always thought Hoover was the best in the industry until now. The only positive comment I can make is that the suction is excellent. However, the vacuum has many design flaws some of which are dangerous. For example: 1) When using the cleaning tools which do not even stay connected, the brush roller continues to rotate. This was never the case with the wind tunnel. As a result, the power cord get shredded because it works it way underneath the brush head. You literally have to hold the power cord up when vacuuming or using the cleaning tools or else it gets underneath the brush head which is continuously spinning and shreds the cord. I have owned 6 Hoover Vacuum Cleaners which I had for years. I never had to replace the power cord on any of them. This vacuum cleaner need a new cord replacement every 3 months. The cord constantly gets in the way when you trying to use the vacuum. 2) The cord is made of such light material, the brush roller shreds it in a matter of minutes. When the cleaning tools are being used, the brush roller should not be spinning. This has caused tear holes in areas of my carpet and has worn holes through the protective carpet liner on the steps. The wind tunnel never did this because the brush roller did not rotate when the cleaning tools were being used. This is a major safety issue. 3) The cleaning tools are almost useless because they do not stay connected when you try to use them. 4) The vacuum does not have a light so you cannot visibly see when vacuuming in dark places. 5) The hose is much too short and too tight. When you try to extend the vacuum hose to use the cleaning tool, the vacuum tilts over. It nearly impossible to use the hose and cleaning tools to clean beyond 6 steps. In fact, if you try to extend the hose to the maximum level, it pinches your hand and violently snatches itself back. Finally, the vacuum is too noisy. It is extremely loud. Because some of these are safety issues, they need to be addressed immediately. The shredding of the power cord makes using the vacuum a safety risk especially for the elderly and children. The previous Hoover Vacuums all had better quality power cords and the cords never got in the way when trying to use the cleaner. I really believe Hoover can do better! We pay a lot of money for these vacuums and we want a better and safer product. You should always test the products with real users and get their input before you finalize the concept and put it on the market.

Extended Warranty? DONT BOTHER!
It's a long one, so buckle in!
On the 17th November I booked a repair for my Hoover washing machine via Domestic and General. A engineer visit was booked for the 27th November. When they arrived they realised that the wrong part was ordered. New part was ordered and on the 30th November another appointment was arranged for the 13th December.
On the 12th December I received a phone call from the engineer to say that the wrong part had been ordered AGAIN! Next repair date 3rd January. At this point we had been without a washing machine for 28 DAYS!
I eventually agreed with Domestic and General to write off the machine and get a replacement delivered because I wasn't confident Hoover would repair the machine on the 3rd January.
New washing machine would arrive 20th December. Machine arrived. I thought the saga was finally over.
When husband unpacked it, machine has a very significant crack on the top! It would of took some seriously weight to cause damage like that, and as such weren't sure what the damage inside could be!
So now we have two unusable washing machines in our kitchen!
I contacted both D&G and Hoover. Other than demanding proof of purchase (for a replacement machine!) We have had no further emails from Hoover.
We are now 49 DAYS without a washing machine.
My feeling now is that
a) I probably would never get a Hoover appliance again. Which is a shame as at present we have a BROKEN washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher. So it was a brand we previously trusted.
b) Product
insurance/Extended warranty is entirely pointless as in this case it doesn't actually work out as hoped! I took insurance out so that high price appliances would be repaired quickly and stress free.
We are a family of 4, two adults, two children. Being without a washing machine has been an absolute nightmare.
We where unable to sit at the table for Christmas dinner because we had TWO WASHING MACHINES IN OUR KITCHEN taking up most of the space.
There is laundry everywhere because it's really difficult to keep on top of it WITH NO WASHING MACHINE!
I have emailed, I have called. But I'm afraid I have no choice now after 49 DAYS but to leave a bad review.
Hands down the worst product support
Hoover has some of the worst customer support I have ever experienced. My machine started leaking out of the body the first time I used it. I tried contacting customer service through their online chat (waited 20 min both times and then was disconnected), their phone (kept getting a message I was calling outside their working hours even though I was calling within the posted working hours), and finally their FB account. I finally got a hold of someone via FB, to have them tell me to bring it to a service center because I didn't have the original receipt. Brough the machine to a listed service center on the Hoover website, only to have them tell me they are not able to get the required part to fix my machine. Followed back up with Hoover support again and they offered a coupon code but I can only use it by calling the number I called before and was never able to get through.
Hoover had the worst customer service
Hoover had the worst customer service !
After being on hold for 20 minutes, they transferred me to repair service I am on hold for
30 minutes and still have not spoke to anyone!!!!!!!!
I will never buy a Hoover appliance. What a difference with Shark service
Terrible aftercare service- avoid.
Hob fitted with new kitchen started to rust within a month of being fitted. This was in July. It is now 5 months on and I still do not have a resolution to the problem. Hoover/Candy aftercare service is appalling. They do not respond to emails for days on end and when they do there has not been a resolution to my problem. I would never purchase a Hoover product again due to this terrible aftercare.
Avoid Wi-Fi at ALL costs
Avoid Wi-Fi at ALL costs, left feeling almost punished by this poor purchase. I purchased both a washer 500 model & foolishly the dryer 300 model. First was the washer purchased 1 yr ago & a few days ago. The dryer is around 8 moths old. Whilst the following isn’t my main issue, I’ve have had constant calls about extra care telling me the tumble dryer is reaching 12mths old. It’s NOT the WASHER is ! How can a company like Hoover even make such an error. Now I have no insurance/extra care for the washer as they couldn’t get the machine correct. Ironically the washer hits its first birthday, within a matter of days the Wi-Fi no longer works. Note I did not intend to use the Wi-Fi initially. However I was left with no choice, as I am unable to use half the machines functions without utilising Wi-Fi programmes. Washer itself has less programmes. Surely the washer & app should have the same functions. We should not be relying on Wi-Fi in the first place, I live rurally & this is impractical. To top it I have to now wait extended periods for the ridiculously long programmes to end. Which is another down side to the machine. If you leave the Wi-Fi on whilst out it won’t work remotely rendering the function absolutely POINTLESS. The Hoover app has never let me use it & the Hon app no longer works. I’m patient & have put up with disliking the machines. Due to the only plus side which I adore, being the steam function. Limited now!!!! However I can not wait to get these both to the recycling centre. Considering it’s 2023 both terms are poor performers & they obviously don’t last long either. ( Chrome flaps inside washer drawers has been decayed for months, actually plastic with the chrome look peeling & rotten) Worst appliances I’ve ever purchased to date, I am not exaggerating & am deeply upset both items are integral items in my home. Hoover NEVER AGAIN.
Rip off charges
Washing machine under 3 years old, 10 year parts guarantee. Stopped spinning, gave them the error number. (Yes, should've checked troubleshooter). Engineer knew what the problem was, unscrewed filter, problem solved in 5 minutes but charged £145 - nice work ripping off pensioners. We were told £72 call out but then an extra £50 for 5 minutes labour. Worthless guarantee if the repair charges are so high.
Item not delivered, but charged for.
Ordered an upright battery operated vac and a handheld plus a spare battery. Did not get the handheld, which I was charged over $100 for and they claim my entire order was delivered. I asked for, in writing, a statement that I did not receive the hand held but that they would send it out. They have ignored me. I now have to issue a charge back with my CC company. I will never do business with them again.
Hoover H Wash 300
Hoover H Wash 300
Hoover H Wash 300, bought 18 months ago had to call an engineer out who told us it was the control board but they had none in stock and would be about 10 days to order. After waiting for over a month (with no washing machine) hoover finally told me that they could not get the part and wouldn't be trying to. They offered me a new washing machine for extra £190. There is a big Red sticker on the front that says 10 years parts warranty. This surely has to be false advertising!!! Steer clear of hoover the warranty means nothing. Unfortunately looks like I will have to buy the replacement as we are desperate for some sort of fix.

It has now been over 5 weeks since the Hoover repair engineer was at my house. I still have no working washing machine.
I spend a lot of money (over £500) on this machine when I bought it a year and a half ago and I expected much much better service from Hoover.
I realise it’s over the 12 month warranty but I should be able to expect for the machine to last a reasonable time.
If it can not be repaired I would hope Hoover would send a replacement.
It seems repair within a sensible time is not possible. The customer services is pretty non existent…
Called about a problem with a product…
Called about a problem with a product still under warranty. After an hour wait to speak with someone, the representative was rude and unhelpful. When asked to speak with a supervisor, she transferred me to a line that just hung up. And she repeatedly hung up when I tried to call her back. Then tried the online chat to speak with someone and repeatedly was told no agents were available. Impossible to get any help.
My Hoover tumble dryer takes 4 cycles…
My Hoover tumble dryer takes 4 cycles of drying to get clothes anything like dry. If I try drying bedding, within 5 minutes it has rolled into a tight ball so no chance of getting it dry. Never again. Going to go back to Indesit. I've even wondered why the washing is only ever warm, never hot so how is it supposed to dry. Can't find anyone to speak to so it's going to become a spare in the garage, what a waste of money, I feel like I've been conned.
Absolutely unscrupulous company
Absolutely unscrupulous company. I owned one of their washing machines which came with a 10 year parts warranty. The end of July 2023 it broke down. On the 04/08/2023 an engineer called and replaced the motor advising that the board was also faulty, that he did not have one but would order it and hand the job over to another engineer as he was off on holidays. For weeks I heard nothing so called Hoover only to be advised that the part had been ordered but the job was never handed over to the other engineer. They advised that the part would take a while to get. I said I would wait. Suddenly I was advised to contact their resolutions department by customer services as they had been advised that no further repairs would be carried out on my machine. No reason or explanation was given. Resolutions said they still did not have the part and offered me a specific replacement machine but only in grey for €396 ( I would suspect that this was a discontinued model ) I advised them that this was too expensive, bearing in mind that it would have only cost me €150 to have them repair my machine. In an effort to find a solution I suggested they might furnish me with a less expensive model. They greed this would be possible and that it would cost me €320. I was shocked as that machine is available for sale in Power City, an electrical goods retailer in Dublin for €349. I have tried everything including writing to their management in the UK but have been wasting my time as they are entrenched in their goal to resolve their warranty issue by selling me a machine at full retail cost. I believe that any solution should cost me no more than the €150 I would have had to pay if they honoured their warranty and repaired my machine. Horrible company to deal with. I would advise people not to take any warranty they offer as truthful. PS I have every relevant document, receipts, warranty, emails etc. STUFF HOOVER NEVER AGAIN. HAVE BOUGHT A NEW HOTPOINT MACHINE. NO HOOVER PRODUCTS WILL EVER DARKEN OUR DOORS. DECEITFUL COMPANY WITH NO MORALS
Absolutely appalling service
Absolutely appalling service that involves waiting weeks and numerous communications to get an engineer to come and check a broken washing machine. Never purchase a Hoover Candy washing machine. Never dealt with such an inept large company with poor and non existent customer service.
A complete disgraceful way to run a…
A complete disgraceful way to run a business. Got a fault? Be expected to wait nearly 3weeks before its resolved. Called up now over a week ago told them the machine I had was less then 6M old, that the drum spins by hand and can hear the motor turning also but didnt turn when cycle started just buzzes. Confirmed by Customer Service as motor at fault so they send an engineer with notes of a faulty panel so turns up with another panel, cant fix it. I complain and given some BD that its a Diagnose appointment and the new part was on order and be another week before an engineer can get the part and come back out. Waste of time, A waste of money and a waste of space. AVOID HOOVER CANDY PRODUCTS AT ALL COST.
