Horizon teachers on the whole is a great agency as they are absolutely professional and reliable. This being my first working via agency, I have had a really positive experience so far and enjoyed it. Registration process was fairly easy. No time was wasted and they found me a job quite quickly. I am very pleased that I signed up with them. As a whole, everyone at Horizon teachers is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

In terms of constructive feedback, the only suggestion I would give is for there to be Training provided by the agency to better equip role on the job and aid when it comes to working with SEN e.g. Health & Safety, Positive Behavioural Support and dealing with aggressive behaviours especially for those who work one to one and going in to it for the first time.

Special shout out to my agent Josephine who has been exceptional. As my main contact, she has been amazing! Not only has she put me in a fantastic role which suits me but she is so kind and helpful in every way. Whenever I call her or message her she responds to my queries promptly, is reliable and extremely professional. I have been with horizon for a while and Josephine has been a fantastic consultant. She has found the perfect fit for me and the perfect rate. She is always available if there is anything i need to talk about with regards to work/pay etc. thank you

I initially signed up to this agency looking for full time work in schools nearby (easy commute) and upon speaking to the consultant that did my interview, I was told their is definitely work available close to me. Rina would send me to schools that were not easily accessible by public transport (IN LONDON) and when I would check the distance to the school prior to commencing work and telling her that I do not wish to go due to being late and it reflecting badly upon me, she would say “It’s fine I will contact the school, let’s get you in just to make some extra money for the weekend and we can talk about it after.” This one day, I left 1hr earlier, giving me leeway for 2 hours of commuting time so I would not be late, I rang her and told her that due to the lack of transport in that area that I will be 20 mins running late even though I had left home at 6:30am; she said “This isn’t a good look, the school won’t be happy about this” I then reminded her that she put me forward for this role even though I did not want to travel that far due to being late. Long story short, this consultant had work available closer to me but would send me further out and pay little significantly less for the role that I was doing, while paying others with less experience than I significantly more. On other occasions, I would have other consultants gaslighting me into going to schools for them that were completely different to what they told me I would be doing. I was told that I would be working as a TA, however, I was working as a 1-1 in a class whereby the teacher was throwing lots of microagressions and created a hostile environment, at the end of the day I told the consultant and he simply said “Well that’s a shame, should I book you in for tomorrow” I would not recommend this agency, as they had caused me so much anxiety and an episode of depression.
