Scam

Scam. Booked and paid for a room. Recieved email with booking reference, whatsapp etc.
At the hotel reception they couldn't find the booking number so I had to book and pay for a new room. I tried to get in contact with Hotels.nl about it but they never replied. Scam

Dear costumers.

Dear costumers.
According of our experience never ever book any hotel via Hotels. Nl. You may loose your money and get nothing even sometimes the hotels already varnished and if you want to change or cancel your booking you well never get money.

Lovely junior staff Basil Fawlty style manager

Previously had a great stay. This time very different. Hotel had their own private party after renovations eccept failed to tell guests who had booked rooms months in advance. DJ and 100 plus guests. Noise still at 12.30 . A manager whose rudeness rivals Badil Fawlty. When we asked for 1 night ( out if 2) refund, not discount, we were told to check out now ! At 12.30am , whilst standing in nightclothes.
Door between bar and stairwell ( fire door?) was wedged open during party; we think this not only allowed nouse to travel but compromised guest security and fire safety.
Management did not deal with complaint. We were told they would have a management meeting - we have not had any feedback since.
Junior staff at this hotel were lovely but they were left to deal with fallout from manager's rude behaviour.

Peach Hill hotel (Kata, Phuket, Thailand)

We have stayed for 2 weeks in the Peach Hill hotel and it was a very pleasant stay.
Unfortunately I became sick on my 2nd day because of a virus that was spreading on the island. But all of the hotel staff were so helpful, they really took good care of us. I want to give a special thank you to Mayank (restaurant) for his help with all the healthy food and special tea he made for me. Also a special thank you to Nutty (reception) her smile and kindness everyday made me feel so welcome. Everyday it made my day!

I can book my hotel with my creditcard.

I can book my hotel with my creditcard.

But i can’t pay servicekosten with my creditcard.

They keep sending me a iDeal link while i keep asking for a cc payment link!

Edit: Managed to use a local bank to pay via iDeal.
What a pain that i have to use a local bank account to pay.
Creditcard should be available to everyone if you run a hotel booking business as its fairly standard to pay for hotels with cc as well…

Money lost for their fault - Doing what they have promised: forget it!

I have booked through them for 3 nights some months before arrival. Yet in the free cancellation period I wanted to change my stay to 2 nights at the same hotel just arriving one day later. I did it through their site and seemed to work but I was contacted by hotels.nl staff that I should make a new reservatoin for the shorter stay and as soon as I have confirmed the new reservation they would cancel my original one. I have sent them the new reservation number within 11 minutes. Do you think they have ever cancelled the original booking? You are right: never, So the hotel charged me the first night as I have been stayed there. Great! When I have noticed it on my bank account, they refused their liability despite all facts. It is clear that it was hotels.nl"s fault and should pay me back the sum that was taken by the hotel due to the fact that they did not do their job.
Never ever again a booking with them. Worse than rentalcars.com...

Intransparent price display!

I have booked a really nice apartment in Delft. The offer was about 40 € cheaper than all other sites. In the end hotels.nl did not inform about the cleaning fee until booking confirmation.
This is really bad business practices, so no recommendation at all. Booking.com and others offer the same prices in the end and are far more transparent.

Furthermore, the hotels.nl service fee has to be transferred separately, what does not seem very professional to me and causes extra effort.
