BEWARE OF THESE CRIMINALS!!!

I wanted to book a hotel, but was still researching options. The site asked me to confirm my bank account to continue. I did so, because I knew it is a large company and therefore wrongfully had trust. Turned out, I accidentally booked a room, not even knowing that it was booked until the day after, when I saw the bill in my mailbox. They won´t refund me, nor will the hotel. THEY ARE CRIMINALS!!!!

Hotel Tonight should be avoided at all costs. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS SITE. The customer service is horrible. Worse, the algorithm is not functional. For a site that advertises the ability to book a same day hotel, they do not have the capability to actually do this. The main problem is that they do not communicate accurately with hotels and so their offerings are not up to date. Please, find another way to book your hotel. This site will leave you frustrated simply because they do not have a way to stay up to date with hotel availability. Even when the hotel has rooms available, hotelstonight may retroactively decide they don't want to provide the room at the price advertised. I'm only upset I have to give 1 full star. The customer service if you have an issue is even worse.

Decided to use app. Was not the best experience pictures of hotel was nothing like the room I stayed. And I payed for two nights and you can't get a refund. I will never do that again

Seen a lot of bad reviews for Hoteltonight, but our experience was brilliant. Gorgeous hotel, hassle free, charges exactly as quoted (no extras) so by far the cheapest option we found (well below Expedia and Priceline), so while I was anxious when booking, I will most certainly be back to enjoy the benefits of Hoteltonight.

HotelTonight is the absolute worst in customer service...there is NONE.
They are worse than Comcast and ATT combined.

The worst possible reservation site. Don't ruin your vacation by using them!

I have used their site numerous times and after doing my research they really don't offer the best rates. Also the customer service after realizing you overpaid is subpar. It's a bait and switch once they gain your trust, they gouge you.

This app is trash the customer service people are horrible wasting my time and vacation time that I rather be enjoying, instead of dealing with the situation they play the passing around game or making 100 calls back to you with nothing done with their response a week later and they got me a refund of one of their trash hotels but now they want to keep my money as accredited to my account with them, that’s obviously not going to happen, now they have keep dealing with them but after I’m done with this app and company next time just go straight to the hotels website join their legitimate rewards program and deal straight with the hotel and you can just use apps like this to try and match prices NOT ACTUALLY USE THE APP since it useless

I’d give zero stars if I could. Hotel Tonight is the absolute WORST. I didn’t realize that while simply browsing with my phone web browser (not the app), it would be so easy to ACCIDENTALLY confirm a booking. I emailed within less than five minutes and their “team” told me they will not refund me. Even after I called the hotel itself and got approval for the cancellation! An honest MISTAKE and they kept almost $300 of my money. Shame on them and your backwards policies! Never again will I use this service. I’ll also encourage others to take their business elsewhere. What a joke.

I was very disappointed in using the app for the first time. I paid through the app but was double charged by the hotel. When I called both Hotel Tonight and the hotel (Hyatt Place), all I was told was that they will reverse the fraudulent charge but could take a couple of days to show on my card. This caused my card to decline for rental car services and I had to cancel my trip and miss a flight. Neither party did anything to accommodate this horrible experience!

Please remember Hotel Tonight is owned by AIRBNB and they are billionaires. With that on mind, please be aware this people feed mostly on american dollars but take their customer service jobs overseas to pay peanuts while denying americans those jobs. No matter what the situation is they won't cancel your reservations and definitely not refund you. Stay away from these criminals.

AVOID. HOTEL NEVER HAD OUR BOOKING AND THEN WE HAVE TO PAY £220 "DESTINATION FEES" ON TOP OF £400 FOR A DOUBLE ROOM FOR TWO NIGHTS. NO MENTION OF THESE "DESTINATION FEES" UNTIL WE HAD PAID ...

Be cautious with hotel tonight. I have been using them for awhile and am on level 18. We have had two incidents over the years to correct issues and they have been helpful after some arguing and explaining. That being said, we recently found out they are overcharging us on rooms. At this level this equates to hundreds of dollars. When letting hotel tonight know about this they could only say we are giving you the best rate out there. This is absolutely untrue! I gave them proof and they kept telling me they get the best rate and I can contact them if I find a better rate. So, I can book my hotel, ask the hotel for their rate, or go on another platform to check, call hotel tonight to get them to adjust their rates, assuming they will and get a bare minimum of the same rate. Why am I using the service? The best rate? If hotel tonight lies to people about rates and refuses to acknowledge this and requires customers to check in on them for every booking why on earth would anyone use them! Very sad and unfortunate.

They couldn't pull up reservation. After waiting forever they took us to a room that was torn apart with literal feces stains on the bed. Second room was already occupied. Decided nothing was worth this and left without refund. Hoteltonight says, "no refund"

The locations were great. The problem was the charges Hotel Tonight added to the listed cost. I stayed 3 different times and while the cost was different from the hotel and I understood that as it was reflected in their pre-pricing acknowledgment, the added fees from Hotel tonight had added cost different from each time I stayed at the same Hotel. It is not transparent about the fees nor provided in advance of Hotel Tonight process card

This is the absolute worst site!!! Do not use it. I was charged by both the hotel and the app. I have been trying to get this resolved and can't get to anyone who will help.

Not accommodating at all. It was bad enough that they wouldn’t offer a refund but they mentioned over the phone that I would be able to receive a credit for the nights that I wasn’t able to stay in the room due to a missed flight.

Inflexible and not accommodating!!!!

Hotel tonight is the most inflexible hotel reservation app out there, and in this age of COVID they should be more accommodating . DO NOT USE. I made an error in entering dates and once I booked it the credit card was charged. I immediately emailed them to let them know I made a mistake and to ask to change dates and they totally refused. This was their joke of a reply:

I know this was not the way you expected your plans to go. We try our best to give you all the info you need in advance when you book with us and I know you did not intend to book with incorrect dates.
I looked into all possibilities for you but we were not able to change your dates dates. All reservations made on HotelTonight are final and non-cancelable; our goal is to always attempt to find the best resolution for our guests whenever situations like yours arise. I hope you understand. As the hotel is still holding this booking for you, I highly encourage you to take advantage of the reservation instead.

BEWARE: When you select 1 star out of the 5 stars, that users choose from for review, it transfers you to a new window. If you aren’t paying attention, it’s easy to miss that the new window has all 5 stars selected. It does that no matter how many stars you select the first time. Most the 5 star reviews are customer complaints. No way those people meant to give them 5 stars.

Hotel Tonight use to be great, not sure what happened to them over the last year. Prior to 2021, I was able to get refunds without problems (if there was a mistake with my reservation or the hotel was not as advertised). The app was user friendly until they changed it. Now the app runs more like a hotel search engine…by the time you get to the page to complete your purchase, everything is sold out or they tack on additional exorbitant fees make your reservation more expensive than booking directly with the hotel. AND, they seem to have a bogus up charge if you want to add breakfast…they do this at hotels that I know for a fact offer free breakfast.
