Great service, very friendly & helpful staff.

Not as expected. I paid for my goods and was directed into the warehouse to collect. Your operative had to go back into reception as one of the items I ordered, caulk, was kept behind the counter there. nothing like the service I get from Openshaw

The workers themselves are absolutely great always friendly and helpful one thing I find tho is prices fluctuate far to often, at times doors are costing me roughly 20-25% higher than they are the next week, pricing competitively is near impossible with them changing so often, I also find it bad that different customers are given different discounts my friend also has an account and gets a much bigger discount than me yet I spend a lot more than him each month, I’m finding customer are supplying the materials themselves because my materials price is so high! One customer last week managed to get her 8 doors and handle sets for £150 cheaper than I could get them from Howdens! Same quality doors same quality handle sets no difference other than price! I’ve found myself going from fitting 30-40 doors a month to fitting 8 this month since this I’ve now been forced to price up with an online retailer to make sure I can price consistently and competitively to get them jobs, the retailer I’ve found supply the handle sets free of charge and the doors are cheaper yet same great quality and an even bigger bonus order before 4pm for next day delivery! So I can’t even say It’s convenient to use Howdens? The prices are higher, the quality is the same everywhere these days and I can get doors delivered next day free of charge when ordering over £200! I’ve never had a bad word to say about Howdens I’ve always used them for many many projects for many years but loyalty is not rewarded here! Your local diy stores will be the same price if not cheaper👎

Simon at Howdens Manchester has been so professional and helpful throughout our new kitchen refit. His design was excellent and input was so valuable. He was also able to modify the design to suit our needs. He recommended Anthony to fit the kitchen who again like Simon was very professional, conscientious and involved us in all aspects of the fit. Both have provided great after-service, helping to source extra fittings and going above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Was happy to shop in this shop

Asked for a price in inches, was given it and told that’s the price equivalent in mm. Said is that the same as inches? Told yes, went to collect to be told that price was actually for a smaller size. I’d already started work. (On my own house) on the price I was given, then told “do you want it or not coz that’s the price”, I said I asked for a price in inches and was told it in mm so the price should be honoured and was told “you either pay the price or don’t take it”. Customer service at this branch is absolutely terrible
