Excellent service, advice and products

Our experience of Howdens, Maesglas Newport depot has been nothing but positive from start to finish. When Richard James (Kitchen Designer) visited our home to measure the kitchen and make an initial plan he was very professional and knowledgeable with no sales pitch, he listened carefully to what we required. Elinor Howard (Kitchen Designer) invited us to view the design instore. She too was very professional and really helpful, all our appointments were relaxed and we were given plenty of time to get our heads around it all and make any changes. Elinor helped us choose appliances and cabinets to meet our needs. The whole process was efficient from design to delivery.
We love our new kitchen! It is excellent quality at a reasonable price.
We would highly recommend Elinor and Howdens Maesglas Newport.

All stock never gets checked so when I spend my time to drive and collect materials, most of them are damaged so its a wasted journey and costs me...had some staff offer me a door with 2 huge damaged areas (looked like from a forklift), how he didn't see it I don't know? He obviously Didn't even look at the quality and just tried to sell it to me. All stock if damaged needs to be reported so you know to tell us if its good enough to collect or not...this has happened numerous times hence the complaint....I've never complained in my life online but I feel this needs to be addressed asap

For price and availability it’s a great service

But the loyalty rewards cards are very out dated rewards should be given on annual account expenditures not on the current method.

I found the service very fast and efficient and the staff all very friendly and helpful.My wife and were more than happy with our kitchen planner.Having said that I’ve currently only had half of my kitchen delivered up till know so I may find the need to amend this review in the future. I sincerely hope not. Yeah

Absolutely shocking service, things have gone from bad to horrendous with Howdens recently. Have used them for many years but the ability to charge £100 for delivery which is completely wrong, took my contractor hours to see what was wrong and work out what was missing or wrongly delivered, would of been a lot quicker and less stressfull to buy off the shelf at B&Q. When I chased the delivery I got no response. Wont be buying any more kitchens from Howdens.

A helpful and friendly team of guys, the expertise of Richard and his understanding of our needs whilst selecting a new kitchen certainly won the order over the competition.
Each time I have visited the branch at Newport I have left more than happy with the service I have received, Neville is knowledgable, patient and always ready to establish my needs ensuring I have the correct product.

I ordered 13 packs of laminate flooring and was told it would be in stock on the 19th of October, I phoned the branch the day before to check it was in and the sales assistant told me it was ,the following day I went to the branch to pick up the flooring but there were 2 packs missing( which they had sold) and 1 pack was damaged, I asked to speak to the manager who then told the sales person that I would just have to wait, I could here the conversation clearly between the sales person and the manager, when the sales person came back I told him again that I wanted to speak to him and the sales person went back into see the manager and when he came back told me that they would deliver the missing and damaged packs later that day which they did ,as customer that has had a account for 20yrs plus I find the mangers attitude and manner disgraceful, he might of been busy but he could of cost me a day's work the sales person was really good and I did feel sorry for him as for the manager he should go on a customer focused refresher coarse because its people like me keeping him in a job!!!!!!

I really can’t recommend Luke at Howdens highly enough.

Luke worked on the project with us from start to finish. We were designing a new kitchen to fit within our open plan living area.

Luke ensured all of our wants and needs were incorporated whilst making the most of all available space.

He helped with the layout, the choice of units and appliances and even the colour! It’s one thing to be able to design a functional kitchen but Luke’s eye for interior design stands him in a league of his own. He managed to create our dream kitchen and tie it all in to our open plan living area vision.

We certainly didn’t make life easy for Luke by making numerous minor changes to the plans but he didn’t grumble at all and would always go out of his way to accommodate us.

We went for the Elmbridge in grey with navy blue units on the island. The quality of the units and doors is fantastic. Everything arrived on time and every little detail was thought of. I couldn’t be happier.

Luke really is an asset to the business
