Called in to pick up 2 doors and hinges. Was served, signed, went out to open the van. Moments later they were helping to load up - thank you

Annoyed...angry....upset...and generally very disappointed....
We bought a new kitchen from Howdens....top of the range...matt black.....really excited that we were finally getting a new kitchen.
But we are just SO DISAPPOINTED in the overall product!
The doors mark every single time we touch them! We are not touching when covered in butter and making pastry....or when covered in grease and de-boning a chicken!! We are just opening the fridge to get the milk out...or opening a drawer to get a teaspoon out...yet every time we touch anything we leave finger marks behind.
So we then wipe the cupboards to clean the marks off....but when the cupboard surface dries the marks are still there....lots of little finger prints everywhere! All looking horrible and shiny on the matt black surface!
I have communicated with Howdens in Yeovil multiple times. Their solution is for me to clean the cupboards using a Magic Eraser. I have queried this with them as this Magic Eraser works by erasing a tiny layer to remove marks. So this means that if I only use it on the corners and edges of the cupboards and drawers where we touch them, then the painted surfaces will slowly become patchy and uneven and look different. Or the other solution is for me to clean the entire kitchen cupboard door or drawer front with the Magic Eraser every single time to ensure that the painted surface is cleaned uniformly. This would possibly prevent patchy results...but then over time the surface would still be erased...and then the colour will fade etc. And there should be no need to clean every single door and drawer in full across its whole surface just to remove fingers marks along the edges and corners...finger marks that don't even come off any way!!
But this does not address the main problem at all...which is that the paint finish is not suitable for a kitchen. We should be able to open the doors and drawers without leaving marks every time. Then if marks do occur we should be able to give the surface a quick wipe and the marks should disappear!
This is not the case with this kitchen.
Yet again this afternoon I have given every single door and drawer front an entire clean. Yet as I sit here all I can see are all the same marks along the edges and corners of every door and drawer front! Every length of kick board has marks and shiny patches all along it. I have been on my hands and knees wiping it thoroughly...yet the marks are still there!
We have had matt black office furniture for the past 6 years....office cupboards opened every day...no finger marks along any of the edges! I have a matt black office desk...put my hands all over it every day...put coffee cups straight on it...no marks at all. It all gets wiped down once a week as part of our house cleaning...everything comes up lovely and clean! No marks anywhere anyway! The cleaning is to remove dust rather than any non-existent marks!
The Howdens kitchen paint finish is not the same quality!
We have asked the Yeovil manager to call us so we can actually talk to him about his Magic Eraser suggestion as a) we don't understand how this will not cause the fronts to deteriorate over time, and b) we want to ask why this paint finish even marks in this way anyway! But the manager has not called us at all.
A female staff member called us last week to ask if we had any new projects on the go...did we need anything....we took the opportunity to tell her about our kitchen disappointment! She must have regretted calling us! She said she would take all our comments back to the Manager.
We have heard nothing since.
So....we are extremely disappointed! And really annoyed that we have bought a kitchen that marks every single time we touch it...and that those marks stay on the door and cupboard and drawer fronts even after wiping it and cleaning it.
Due to Howdens lack of communication we are now currently taking advise as to how we can move this forwards.

All I needed was a 3m worktop. A cheap one as it's being fitted as a temporary top while various building work is being done.
50 odd quid inc VAT with free delivery.
Brilliant! Thank you Howdens Yeovil.

Approx 2 years ago we bought a kitchen, flooring, doors, skirting + lots of other pieces which clearly cost us a lot of money.
I need to oil the wooden worktop (obviously sold by Howdens) but now they refuse to sell me a tin of oil because I am not trade and I do not want any further dealings with the idiot who carried out the work.
All that money and now won't even sell me a tin of oil - pathetic.
Absolutely no after sales consideration.

Couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. There was a problem with my account but the manager solved the issue while the counter staff looked after me.

We purchased a kitchen for Merriott Village Hall from Howdens in Yeovil in July 2022 and had it fitted the following month. We have had no problems with the installation until earlier this week when one of the user groups reported that the outer door of the integrated fridge had become detached from the fridge door. As Facilities Manager, I checked the appliance and took an image on my camera, then posted it to Howden's with a request for service support. The time was 3.21 p.m. on Thursday 20th June. I received an email at 4.25 p.m. to inform me that the parts would be dropped in to the hall later in the day. Better still, when the Howden's representative arrived at the hall, he called on the caretaker and suggested he could do the repair there and then. By 7.30 p.m. the fridge door repair was complete - less than 5 hours after I sent the email requesting assistance. I was amazed how this service request was dealt with - fantastic customer service. Thank you for your support! from Merriott Village Hall.

Generally ok, abit sluggish at times & have to push for obvious corrections or faults to be corrected easily. If things run smoothly then very good overall.
