H.Samuel - Burton On Trent Reviews 

Bought a ‘white gold’ wedding ring and after several years discovered it is actually yellow gold covered in a silver metal. I have been told by an independent jeweller that it should be white all the way through.
Also the gold chains are very weak and have a hollow profile. Don’t hang any heavy pendants on them.

Update. Spoke on phone and left very dissatisfied with their response and attitude to them selling me a fake wedding ring. I’ll never trust them with my business again.

Got a 9ct yellow gold diamond ring at Burton on Trent store,first it was one of the stones that fell of then it changed colour,honestly the manager was very professional but I felt sad when I try to sell it off because the colour kept changing and I was priced ridiculously,went back to the store sad and he changed it for me which I was hoping I won’t have same complaint,but that is not the case as my ring has change colour again.I’m not happy anytime I look at my ring .

Bracelet broke following day,but all so meander the next day excellent service

I want to share one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.

I placed my order online with H Samuel and decided to have the item delivered to store (a great option if you can't be in during the working day when most couriers deliver).

When I visited the H Samuel store in Burton-Upon-Trent, I was greeted by a member of staff who offered to help with any query I may have during my visit.

I informed Chris, the member of staff, that I had visited the store to collect my online order, but that I'd also have a browse.

Chris took my details and produced my order while I was browsing. The watch was new, with all the correct tags, labels, and protective film on the straps.

Chris then offered me the chance to try the watch on for size. I told him it would be way too big for me because of my small wrists, and then Chris amazed me by offering to take the extra links out whilst I waited. I can genuinely say I was amazed at this offer, as I'd expect many high street retailers to charge for this service. It certainly saved me a lot effort when I got home as I have Osteoarthritis in my hands.

Chris came back within a few minutes with the watch and it was a perfect fit. He gave me the links he had extracted, placed the watch back in its box and put it in a paper bag for me to carry it off in.

I can sincerely say that the customer service I received from Chris was Exemplary. Chris was polite, patient and knowledgeable. He treated me with respect, and was in no rush to get me out the door and rid of me.

I felt so happy leaving the store, and am still going around with a happy grin four hours after leaving the store.

Online shopping is advantageous in many ways, but it can't beat the personal touch of visiting a store, especially when there's people as helpful as Chris working in them.

A big thank you to the H Samuel online team for getting my order to store so quickly, and an even bigger thank you to Chris for being so lovely.

Great experience very helpfull lady we were looking for an Eternity ring after trying few on which did not look right against wedding ring. The assistant asked me to try one i had not noticed , It is perfect against my ring and engagment ring so pleased looks gorgeous and fitted so came away same day with my ring So thank you .

Just to say that the customer service I received was excellent, the gentleman who served me was extremely helpful and obliging. Explaining what I was looking for he was able to show me a beautiful little silver leather bracelet with a charm (anniversary gift) which my wife absolutely loves. Booked appointment, only customer in store. Felt covid secure. Gave list of watches and was allowed to try them all on. Very helpful altered watch 3 times until fitted comfortably. Did not steer me towards more expensive watches - listened to what I wanted.

I walked into H. Samuel Burton and asked for help finding an engagement ring, but hadn't got the first clue about rings or what I should be looking for.

I spoke with Ann who was friendly, helpful and polite. I'd had my eye on a couple of styles, and she was able to guide me through options, explaining the differences and giving me plenty of information I needed to make a decision. Very relaxed and not at all pushy. She helped me find the right size using only my own finger, otherwise I would have been completely stabbing in the dark.

I bought a ring there and then, and was very happy with my purchase; ready to pop the big question in the next week or so.

It wasn't until I got home and showed the mother-in-law-to-be that we realised there was a large, deep scuff at the bottom of the ring - which was likely covered up by the tag, therefore unnoticed when I was looking in the shop.

I went back the next day to get a replacement, but there were none of that size in stock in the shop. There were different ladies working that day, both equally friendly and helpful; we managed to source a new one for delivery the next day.

Fast-forward a couple of weeks and the good news is - SHE SAID YES! And it's exactly the right size, too! We subsequently popped in to share the good news, show it off in all its glory, and thank the team for all their help in finding the perfect ring for the perfect moment. Thank you H.
