Im due to leave the UK to get married to my lovely fiance who lives abroad on 15th May 2025.
I ordered a nice £370 ring online on 18th April 2025 and the expected delivery was 10th May. A bit too close for comfort but i trusted the process. I contacted CS on the 4th for an update hoping they could speed the process and i got nothing back until the 12th.
Come the 10th nothing had arrived, i tracked the package and it hadnt even been dispatched yet, a whole three days after it should have been.
Went into my local Eastbourne HS the same day for help and staff pretty much waved me off saying they have nothing to do with online orders and that you cant track orders even though i just did.
CS finally got back to me two days later and although they were at least efficient with their response, they said they had chased the suppliers and said that my ring has a lead time of another FOUR WEEKS.
To say im NOT impressed is putting it the nicest i can. I've had to buy a cheap last minute substitute from Amazon instead.
Last time i'm ever buying anything from this company. Ive been offered a refund but if anything i should be compensated for this complete failure and waste of my time.
DONT order online from their website. Make sure you physically see what your buying if you actually want it in time, let alone for a special occassion.

Awful experience.
Due to my husband's terminal illness, he decided to buy me a ring that was meant to be super special—probably the last one ever. We got our wedding rings many years ago at H. Samuel, so our choice of brand was easy: H. Samuel. We bought a ring with tiny diamonds, which was on sale for a great price. After all discounts, we paid around £220. The lady who sold us the ring absolutely reassured me about the quality and warranty, in case anything happened with the H. Samuel jewelry.
I was extremely upset when I noticed that only three months later, one of the tiny diamonds had fallen out (I didn't know when or where). I had been looking after this ring more carefully than any other. Every single time I was washing, cleaning, or before bed, I always put the ring away. I was extremely careful, but obviously, it wasn't enough.
I went back to the shop to ask for a repair. There was no problem until I received a phone call from the store, and the lady informed me that I would have to pay £240 for the repair as the "specialist" said that the diamond had been forced out.
I felt nothing but sick!
How dare this person say something like that!
I just cannot believe the way I was treated.
It is just unbelievable that a ring meant to be super special and expensive lasted less than fake jewelry from Primark.
DISGUSTING, I wish I never bought my ring there!
NEVER AGAIN!
Visited H.Samuel the jewelers at Eastbourne recently, what a joy, greated smiling faces, unusual nowadays, I was looking at watches, and even though I wasn't buying that day the help and advice I was given was brilliant, will definitely return again and recommend to my family and friends.

Both of these ladies helped my husband and I to select a variety of jewellery requirements. Both were knowledgeble and not at all pushy. They gave us time to make our choices and time to consider different options. We were very happy with our purchases.
I would definitely go back to H Samuels in Eastbourne.

Awful customer service. Broken bracelet returned with receipt (under 30 days). Refused refund or exchange only prepared to repair. (carried out by staff member in about 3 minutes... Hardly a lasting repair) Item is not fit for purpose. Perhaps they could sell umbrellas but advise me not to use them in the rain???... Will never use them again!!!

So disappointed with the Eastbourne store and with the customer services.
My partner brought me an angel stone for Christmas. They come in six different colours. When I change the colour I was made to pay 25% extra on top of the product, this was very disappointing, especially as my partner had also purchased a pair of diamond earrings and necklace, and I was on my way to purchasing a watch for my daughter as well. The price was only £3.80, but it was the principle not the price.
Rachel told me it was the tills fault, even though I know from experience in shops that you can override £3.80 if a customer is a good customer spends a lot of money and it’s exactly the same product just a different colour.
