I went to get a piercing done and was served by Christine and she was amazing! Talked me through what she was doing let me change the spot on where I wanted it and was just an amazing employee, definitely recommend going if your thinking about getting a piercing!! 10/10 service!

The manager helped me much more then required. I recently bought one of their "pre loved" watches. I found that the strap bracelet had a defect. Instead of brushing me off (because it was "pre loved") he fixed the issue.
Also all the staff were more then helpful when I was choosing which watch to buy.

I spoke with Ross in the morning to reserve a specific Citizen Eco Drive watch for my nephew, and advised I’d i collect it the same afternoon. Upon arrival, Ross had already prepared the watch and had no hesitation changing the time again (as my nephew lives in Turkey) and removing some links. He explained and demonstrated to his colleague how to adjust the time and provided some information about the Citizen guarantee helping me register the watch. I bought a similar watch from the Milton Keynes store 2 years ago and there is a gulf in customer service between these stores, notably because none of the staff at MK knew how to change the time! Ross is clearly familiar with the intricate workings and details of numerous brands of watches and his knowledge, polite and engaging manner is a throw back to the days when customer service was paramount. Other stores may be larger and flashier but this Hemel store wins hands down for an enjoyable experience.

Had my ears pierced by Christine at Hemel Hempstead store she was very patient as had to avoid piercings that had previously been done and closed up I am so pleased with how it turned out just have to wait to have more done

I'm delighted with the choices I found, and the price was good for the ring's design.

I went into Hemel Hempstead store last week asking to see a watch, they didn’t have it and the staff told me they can order it in, I returned today and bought it. She’s been absolutely amazing, patient, super star and just so switched on. Sonya thank you so much!

I had my ears pierced by a friendly lady called Lucy who put me at ease and explained how to care for my piercing at home. The whole process was easy pain free and I am very pleased with with my new earings

I previously sent my wedding ring to H Samuel in order to be resized - unfortunately, the outcome was completely different as after 6 months of waiting around and countless lies we were told when asking for updates, they came back and in fact broke my ring and also replaced the initial stones with cheaper ones. The ring initially costs me 3500 £ and H Samuel said they would either pay me 500 £ or send the ring back broken.

If you value your jewelry, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.

A very very very very dishonest and highly dodgy company with a gangster attitude robbing innoncent people like myself - I am still crying at this time as I will never be able to wear my ring again and the beautiful emerald stone has been swapped for a kinder surprise one instead (and they really think that we wouldn't notice it!)

Their customer service is totally pathetic and will just lead you on with no remorse. Such companies should not be allowed to operate as their approach is far away from legal.

3 months ago, my fiance bought me the most beautiful wedding ring. As it was too big, we took it upon ourselves to have it resized and saw that H.Samuel was offering this in Marloves shopping center. This was now 2 months ago. Sonja explained to us on that day that it would take about 1 month to have this done but this was only the beginning of this absolutely horrendous experience (which is still ongoing btw): About 2 weeks after the ring was dropped off, I received a random phone call in which the lady from their repair center advised that some stones were missing and could be added upon paying an extra fee - I respecfully declined as this was not my intention when dropping off the ring, I simply wanted to have it resized. About a month afterwards, I then received a second phone call in which the lady advised that the quality of the ring was overall too poor in order to have it resized and it would need to be sent back to the shop so I could collect it. Inevitably, I was disappointed that it took them such a long time to get back to me but I understood and then came to the shop to collect my ring.

This is the point when this nightmare REALLY started: To my complete disbelief, the ring had been CUT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE. I was absolutely shocked and wanted to cry right away, the sales assistant asked me if it had been sent to their repair shop this way and I confirmed that this was absolutely not the case. I wanted to receive more info on how this could possibly happen, and she advised that no notes whatsoever could be located in the system. I was mortified and astonished how this could possibly happen without asking for my consent, notifying me about it or even the reason why this way not documented at all in their system.

The lady advised that she would send it back to the repair shop and inform me of further updates down the line. This was one month ago. I never heard back and didn’t receive any calls or text. I have since gone back to the shop several times and have been informed that first, they would need to figure out who did the cut, then they would need to check if the ring can potentially be resized. Note that no refund offer were made to us, leaving both me and my partner with our hands completely lied and at the mercy of the incompetence of H. Samuel.

Today was probably the 7th time I visited this shop and it gets even worse, eventhough I clearly thought this coudn’t be done.

First of all, the gentleman who was working today and clearly aware of this ongoing saga was extremely dismissive towards our situation and didn’t show any empathy towards us whatsoever. He provided very confusing and little updates, behaved very rude and condensending. He also attempted to make us leave the shop without any proper assistance being offered which is infuriating at this stage. As we were not willing to do this, he called security on us who very quickly understood our pain (I am also almost 9 months pregnant) and no further action were taken.

Sonja then explained that she is still awaiting to receive further updates regarding the potential repair of this ring as not only the cut has to be fixed but now, they also need to check if the stones on the ring can be repaired as well. I was confused and asked why those stones were being brought up out of nowhere. Note that this stone issue was never mentioned to me till now and was complete news to my ear. So not not only have they broken the ring, they actually have also broken the stones during this process.

I am now told to wait another few days until further updates can be provided. Please explain to me how anyone would feel in this situation? 2 months of absolute non sense, lies and incorrect information being disclosed, criminal damage to my ring including stones being removed and still no idea when I will get it back, what will it look like and how can I get a refund and finally forget about this absolutely dreadful and horrid experience.

I never ever submit reviews however I strongly advise anyone who is reading this TO NOT EVER SHOP AT H. SAMUEL if they wish to live hassle free as they have broken my whole wedding experience and till this day, 2 months after visiting them the first time around, no resolution has been found. I cried when going back home today as shocked does not even accurately describe how I feel at this time.

Update: The resolutions team of H.Samuel are not offering 2 options
1. Repair the ring and as a gesture of goodwill will offer compensation of £300.00
2. Return the ring as it is, and as a gesture of goodwill, offer funds of £500.00

I would be silly to think they could possibly ever repair my ring considering the horendous line of events - my ring had a total cost of £3.500, both options provided do not match my expectations any near and I will push to get this full refund back so they can keep this broken ring and I get to finally move on with my life.

Bort a ring for me and my partners 6 year anniversary the item was late and was told by a manger of hemel store that I would not receive my money bk so had to chase customer service to get it sort hemel store not good avoid

We went to the H.samuel store in Hemel Hempstead today. After getting engaged last week and my ring unfortunately not fitting I was sceptical we'd find a ring to fit due to having chunky fingers but they told us about the "design your own" choice which we'd have never known about if it wasn't for the informative staff. They were so helpful and friendly and really personable. The process was quick and easy and they helped us choose a ring well within our budget. Would definitely recommend this store to a friend.

Generally the Staff at Hemel Samuels are always extremely professional and helpful. Well worth a visit, very nice items of jewellery to purchase.

We went to The Hemel Hempstead HSamual and Janine was absolutely friendly and helped us pick out the perfect engagement ring. Also when we went to pick up the ring today 9th March the two ladies where so friendly and welcoming we really felt relaxed.

The owners off this store are great to work with. They made our buying Experience very easy was purchased with great value, present for my son…. top quality at all competitive prices best of all exactly what we wanted and in stock 😊 very Professional and great service Thank you
