I bought ring on 17 th for anniversary 18 dec.As my size H wasn’t available,booked in for delivery which was by 20th however ring never arrived…moreover no communication regarding delay…100 calls to store no one picked up as busy Christmas time I get it !
Finally on web chat ..customer care informed me my ring order has been cancelled due to size unavailability…..they ruined my anniversary!
Still patiently visited store …store staff was sorry but store manager completely unprofessional and un empathetic… making us believe it’s abnormal to have H size and that it won’t be available during busy Christmas time !
Completely unprofessional behaviour from start to end ! Cancelled order and asked for refund
They didn’t care at all!

Terrible online website

Bought a ring and got promised a text message as soon as it arrives. Never got the message, so went to Meadowhall in Sheffield to ask what's going on. Got told the order got cancelled, as the ring was out of stock. That can happen and is not the problem, but that nobody bothered to contact me annoyed me!
I have chosen a similar ring, which was in stock (the guy rang the branch that had it in stock) and he said it will be in Friday last week or Monday this week latest. He promised again that I will receive a message.
So 7 days later I went again to Meadowhall to ask where my ring is. To my surprise it was there waiting for me, but (again) nobody bothered to contact me.
One of the women in charge (I think) found the ring and I asked why, on 2 occassions, I was not notified. All I got was a snotty response, saying that I have to talk to the guy who sold me the ring. She was obviously not interested and didn't even look at me when she mumbled her stupid excuse. She then went away and left me with another sales assistant. I told that girl that her colleague's response was completely unacceptable and rude and she seemed to be aware of that. Must be a common occurrence by the looks of it. I told the girl (who was quite embarrassed, but really polite) that I won't ever return to that shop for obvious reasons.
I should mention that I bought a pair of diamond earrings in this shop a month before, which went smoothly. It's just this woman who really makes a supposed nice shopping experience a nightmare.
Luckily there ate plenty of other jewellers around, because they won't see again.
To the customer service - no need to respond with your standard answer to ring you and discuss. Not interested.

I visited H Samuel’s Meadowhall, Sheffield branch today and cannot praise the service highly enough.
Tasha, the young lady that served me was friendly, helpful and very patient as I decided which items were right for me. I spent quite a long time making my mind up but never at any time felt that Tasha or any other member of staff were trying to rush me.

I have always liked H.Samuel until my husband had taken my wedding ring to be sized up and re-dipped to look shiny again.
He asked for it to be sized up one ring size, because it was getting a little tight when taking it off past the knuckle, upon collecting the ring and trying it on again, it felt exactly the same as the previous week when it was left with staff where I struggled to get it off. I said that there was no change when trying in the shop, I know it wasn't my fingers because my other rings fit exactly the same fit on the same finger and the staff member checked the temperature of my hand and said you have cold hands too. He called the manager over who said that this had been sized up and made out that I didn't know what I was talking about and that I needed to pay the balance owed. I understand some of the bill would be from the cleaning and the recolouring of the metal and I was happy to pay for this but having to pay for a service that I don't believe had taken place has made me vow not to shop here again.

Over the entire process of order , seeing how it would look and collecting Tracey has shown an outstanding level f custom service. She is a credit not only to the store but to the customer service industry as a whole. I will definitely return for my next jewellery item.

Been a while since I've shopped at H Samuel and I must commend the staff at Meadowhall Sheffield and especially Rachel Conway Online Product Consultant & Virtual Team who was excellent.

Refreshing change nowadays to get both excellent sales and service from any retailer 5*

The store manager Hazel Bond served us today. I have never met such a rude and uninterested staff member before.
She ignored us at first and then made it very clear we were an inconvenience.
Considering the fact she is a manager (according to the receipt) her attitude was disgusting!!!

Purchased two watches in Store at Meadowhall. However, once I arrived home I discovered there were no watches just the boxes and chargers. Contacted the Store and the assistant apologised. Made the trip back to the Store the next day where I received an apology from a different assistant and the manager. Accepted the apologies as mistakes happen. However, when I said it's just an inconvenience that I've had to return, which is a 50+ mile round trip, the female Manager flippantly said it's not that far as she walked off. Not impressed with the tone and body language of the Manager.

Laura the sales agent was always happy to help, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Exceptional experience

Really friendly and very helpful staff. Tasha was so helpful that I ended up buying two necklaces for my mum instead of one!

Caring, knowledgeable staff. No pressure to buy, the lady took a lot of time to make sure we could try on as many rings as we liked, we didn't feel rushed at any point
We would definitely recommend the Sheffield Meadowhall store. Covid restrictions and excellent hygiene practices were very visible all rings sanitized & cleaned before trying on

When we went into store the lady that served us was lovely nothing was to much trouble. Will defiantly shop there again.

Really good experience I wanted a wedding ring which would match the assistant Jo spent time showing me quite a few rings and we found the perfect match. Thank you Jo and H Samuel.

Went to look at wedding rings, the sales assistant mentioned we had just missed a wedding fair with a discount. The same day we went on line and there was a 20% discount online.
When I picked up the rings the same sales assistant said the discount came on the day after.
So lovely rings

I would still shop at H Samuel however I will always check on line first.

Visited the Meadowhall store to take a look at some wedding rings. My engagement ring is slightly odd so was a bit unsure what sort of ring would fit nicely. The sales assistant was extremely helpful and suggested some options that I hadn’t even thought of. I walked away with another thing ticked off my wedding planner list and a gorgeous wedding ring.

Very pushy towards expensive rings. The sales person was ignoring our planned budget and kept proposing the rings above it putting me in an awkward situation. I'll use Goldsmiths next time.

I purchased a watch which is very nice but it wasn't the one I had been looking at in store .The one I had seen had a blue face but had no price on the assistants in the shop looked everywhere for the price but couldn't find anything they even tried to call other stores but were unable to find anything so i eventually picked a different watch and this is why I only gave the star rating of 4 stars.

I am so happy with the service and the repair it looks like new.
