Giftcards that cannot be used

Exactly as others have said. Very shady company. We received a gift card as a present, but the card reports an error when trying to spend it with any suppliers. After contacting customer service they told us the card was not correctly 'activated' and they refuse to activate it without proof of purchase. What a hassle. Unfortunately it will be very difficult to find the exact date, time and location of purchase (as they requested) in our situation, so all the spent funds go to waste. Just stealing money at this point. What a scam.
