I only give one star because that’s the lowest it will give me. I’ve had Hulu for over a year now and I consistently run to the same problem it times out after washing it for about 20 to 30 minutes at the most. The worst thing is right in the middle of a basketball game football game or anything it times out when it’s a critical play for the game. I would not recommend Hulu to anyone. I am going back to spectrum cable.

Great content terrible platform for live sports

Change from YouTube to Hulu because of ESPN contact issue. Going back to YouTube as Hulu good content but platform unreliable pain. Especially for live sports w high bandwidth. Drops, stalls, freeze you name it…Hulu sucks for live sports. Do yourself a favor and find another platform.

Where to begin

Where to begin? The UI is awful. Everything is in alphabetical order and the tabs on the left side when viewing the menu are even worse. The fluctuating volume between the show you're watching and the commercials. The DVR has a mind of its own. I constantly have to delete shows I have already deleted in the past, yet they reappear daily. Yes I have unfollowed the show and have done all their troubleshooting tips online. They still reappear. The customer service is nonexistent. I do not receive emails from them. No billing emails, no confirmation emails. Nothing at all. However their email service works when they're telling me my bill is being increased. I also cannot login on my PC to make any changes. When I called customer service to fix this issue they had zero solutions. I also wanted to add the sports package this past fall. They wouldn't add the package until I told them what two shows I enjoy watching the most. What does that have to do with anything? They're the worst streaming service of them all. Avoid at all costs.

Don’t trust their “free trial membership” offer. I cancelled 5 minutes after signing up because they didn’t have the show I wanted. I’ve been in dispute with them ever since, 2 weeks so far. Despite documentation I cancelled, they insist my membership is active and charged me.

Hulu

Hulu, as a streaming service, is absolute garbage. I'm lucky because my phone company pays for it on my behalf, but it's essentially unwatchable and, no, it's not my internet. I have 1 gig per second service. I wouldn't pay .99 cents a month out-of- pocket for this so-called service. It's a joke.

³Omg is hulu owned by big pharma!!!!!!If I see one more drug commercial. I pay $105 month and I need to not see so many drug commercials. Hulu will be loosing alot of its customers because of this. Hulu grow some balls and stop playing so many pharmaceutical commercials on drugs you know nothing about!!!!! Leave that to the doctors.

You might as well pirate

Worst streaming site ever!!!!! constant unfixable bugs that prevent your content from playing. honestly so embarrassing that this is a major streaming service and you can't even play the content. with the amount of errors that you have to work around, you'd be better off just pirating your show on a different website. error code RUNUNK13 nonstop. DO BETTER.

Signed up for one month the cancelled days before the renewal date/charge. Took a screenshot of my cancellation confirmation. I still got charged! This platform has been confusing, unhelpful, and now doing what I’m afraid they’re doing to others - charging even after cancelling. They deserve to be sued. What a waste of my time to deal with this.

Questionable business practices

I have had the legacy Verizon Disney Bundle which includes Hulu for many years. I pay an additional $6 each month for no ads. A few months ago my Hulu became flooded with ads, it wasn’t watchable. After many rounds with customer service they said the only was to fix was to cancel my current plan with Verizon and re-enroll and everything would go back to normal. The same $6 each month. They pulled a fast one on me.. it is now an additional $20 per month with no notification of increase. They said they changed the way they handle the no ad add in with Verizon packages. I cancelled, a lot more streaming options offering better value than Hulu.

Too many buffers

Too many buffers, constantly going to we’ve encountered a problem. But worse than the constant ads is the constant ads in Spanish. We live in an English speaking country so if I have to watch commercials I should be able to hear it in the language of this country. If I’m in Spain then I expect Spanish speaking channels. There are channels devoted to the Hispanic culture play the commercials there.

The extensive ads destroy any hope of enjoying a show or movie. The service is not worth the extreme cost. The limited content is subpar considering the price paid. The content is mostly littered with profanity. The "recommendations" are a joke...pushing content I've already marked as "unliked". Makes no sense. There are stationary ads that take up 75% of the content pages. I am American and have no use of non English content which seems to be nearly half of what is presented. I've not experienced any playback issues.

Worst quality, Most ads

Of all the streaming services Hulu is the only one I have issues with. For years there have been issues with the sound not being on time with the characters moving their lips and I am a chronic series watcher, after watching a series and then restarting it, it doesn’t restart the episodes from the start. Every single episode starts at the last minute and you have to click the start over button and then you have a 50% chance of being forced to watch an entire episode where the sound lags behind the scene. I pretty much just use Netflix and peacock because I never have these issues. Hulu also has the most amount of ads and they are all pharmaceutical ads. It’s annoying paying money to have these issues that could easily be fixed seeing as Hulu is the only service with them. I pray always sunny in Philadelphia transfers to Netflix so I can cancel Hulu

Terrible performance

Terrible performance - always freezing anytime the subject matter changes - like transitioning to a commercial. Of all of the streaming services I subscribe to, Hulu is by far the absolute worst - not because of their channel lineup, but because their app is absolutely horrible and has been for a long time. Why Hulu refuses to fix their garbage app is positively aggravating and the epitome of incompetence and arrogance - they have no problem increasing the cost but fixing their garbage app.... not even a concern... The moment another streaming service can offer a similar channel lineup for live TV, I am so done with Hulu.... so done.

Hulu sucks

Hulu sucks. I pay a fortune every month to include ad-free and recording capabilities. The ad-free gives almost no shows that fall into the category. And the recording feature ( which once a show is recorded, enables you to forward through the ads) almost never works. Constant errors. Constant missed shows. No support. They get you to pay an exorbitant amount of money, only to still have to stream normally and watch all the ads.
