They are poorly manufactured.
They dont grip your heel...I know Im not the first to notice. All these shoe brands cheaped out and make ill fitting shoes...save your money.

2 months old pair of black leather shoes got cracks as if made of fake leather. Went to the shop and they said they are faulty. Contact HO and they don't care about the quality of their products. Straight answer, go to the shop where you bought them from with your receipt. Who keeps receipt after 2 months of warning shoes. That the end of the road for me, lost $120. But is the beginning of the new brand I will be buying from now on Julius Marlow. amazing shoes.

Wore my new pair of Hush Puppies in rain for the first time and my feet were soaked from the bottom of the sole upwards. They are basically leaking from the stitching on the toe and letting water in to soak the inner sole. I've worn them about five times without any issues - until it started raining! Poor, poor quality by a once trusted brand. Hush Puppies has gone to the dogs!!!

Bought a pair of hush puppies sandals less than 3 weeks ago. They are falling apart the straps are coming undone not happy spent £35

The quality of Hush Puppies has deteriorated! Used to be a reliable too quality brand. Wont be buying again. My last 2 pairs have been very disappointed. The heel plates fell off one pair only to discover the heels are hollow!!. Hardly anything to attach the plates to. The soles of the other pair were basically paper thin and have worn through rapidly. Its nit as if they were cheap either.

I brought a pair of sandles for 68 pounds and after 8 weeks the back strap snapped and I no longer can wear them. So cross. Hush puppies have not got back to me!

Would give 0 if it was possible! Received shoes that were creased, stained, had visible signs of wear, sole poorly glued and detaching from shoe. Terrible. Hush Puppies standards have dropped significantly. Wouldn’t have accepted the product if was offered for free. Still shocked they tired to pass these off as new. To add insult to injury, I have to pay to return this substandard product.

"Leather" has perished in crease marks and sole is disintegrating on heel. Worn for special occasions, so around 10 times. Definitely not up to their previous quality. Will not buy again.

My husband bought a pair of Hush Puppies on Saturday 13th mat 2023. He wore it to Church next day. When he took it out a few days later to wear for work he found the threads come out in the toe area of the shoes. Is this expected after ONE WEAR. The seller said he will repair it. So we pay thru our noses for Hush Puppies only to realise there's no difference between the BRAND Hush Puppies n the local shoe shops. Both fray after one wear.

Ordered the Maggie shoe in tan size 3. Received black one shoe size 5 one shoe size 6. After 2 unanswered phone calls and 3 emails finally got the response return them and if the box is intact and the shoes are fine for resale you can have your money back. They have lost a good customer.

I have emailed Hush Puppies a few times now about buying their shoes from them and I have not been replied to at all.
It's now obvious to me now they do not care about their customers and couldn't care less whether you buy from them or not or if you have any kind of problems, I won't be purchasing from them in the future!

Bought this shoes twice and both times the sole cracked .It seams that this problem is reported very regularly. Will no buy ever again.

Terrible poor quality shoes.Recieved birthday present. Worn only one week and sole cracked on both shoes.Complaint Hush puppies (rubbish puppies) they said all shoes sole cracked up when they touch water because materials used in sole's reaction.which is totally none sense.they said sorry we can't help you on this matter. I am 64 years old but never had this problem before even have been buying cheap shoes they lasted for many months.NEVER buy HUSH PUPPIES again.boycot Hush puppies.

Bought my 12 year old hush puppies for school £45 and they have fallen apart at the front, Absolutely furious, DO not waste your money, wish I had bought cheap ones then I would expect them to fall apart, 😡😡

Really disappointing! Bought a pair of HP black school shoes for my sons 4th year at Primary school, he's not even been back at school 8 full weeks and there is an obvious hole at the front of the shoe, allowing water in on the walk to school. Granted he is 7 years old & I will allow for some wear & tear from playtime but at £45 a pair of shoes and using polish and cleaner to maintain the shoes, I would expect to not see such damage after 8 short weeks back at school.

I bought a pair of black hush puppies school shoes for my 10 year old and after only 7 days of wearing the sole of the Right shoe came away from the shoe as if the glue had stopped sticking. Took back to Choice and mgr refused refund as shoe was worn and he said child must have tripped causing the damage!!! Reading reviews below I can see others have experienced the same. Have written to Choice HQ. Update: store gave me credit note.

Purchases the shoes from DSW. After the first day of wear, the threads are coming loose. It is actually quite absurd to think that a brand new pair of shoes would have threading come loose on both shoes after a day of casual wear. Would not recommend.

Bought a pair of Hush Puppies believing that they were from a quality company. I must admit that I didn't wear them for 13 months after purchase, but after 4 months of light wear the soles wore through to expose cavities above.

I have read about the mid sole being manufactured being made from hydroscopic polyurethane, but the wear was on the outer sole.

I have worn Clarke's for many years with some of their cheaper shoes lasting over 4 years before reluctantly being thrown out. So it's back to Clarke's never again for Hush Puppies

I was recently at a wedding in France where
I'd decided to wear a pair of oldish but hardly worn Hush Puppies mens shoes.
After the Church service, I was walking back to my car when both soles completely disintegrated.
I wrote an email to Hush Puppies and this was the disgraceful response.

No the shoe it isn't made with a faulty product but with like any material if its kept untouched for considerable amount of time or kept in storgage natural occurrences happen to the shoe like the below explains unfortunately ' Polyurethane is used to make midsoles (the component in the middle of a boot between the out-sole and the upper insole). It can gradually absorb moisture over time and deteriorate. The polyurethane gets harder, more porous and at some point, starts to crumble. In extreme cases, it can disintegrate completely and if this happens, the sole might well fall off your shoes/boots'.

This is a natural occurrence that can happen to any brand of shoe, it’s not a fault with the shoe. On this occasion there is nothing we can do to help. . I do apologise for the disappointment.

Won't buy a pair ever again!
