I am approaching my 10th year of being a tenant of Hyde and the previous 9 years they have been faultless. Pre April I was given my annual rent increase but this year I have also had service charges applied. I live in a semi detached house and all the breakdown of the service charges implicate that of someone living in a flat with communal areas or someone living on a private road. Over the whole tenancy Hyde have never came to our property or anywhere near it to carry out these works. Tree cutting there are no trees near me. Grass committing I cut my garden and the council grass my self. Bin rental, I annually pay for my green bin myself and my other bins are part of my council tax. I took this service charge letters in good faith knowing that when I report it to Hyde they will clearly see it is a mistake and get rid of it. Nope been through 2 stage complaint process and they still think it’s viable to charge me for services I am not receiving. I will be disputing with ombudsman because I know legally this is incorrect. Anyone else having the same issue with service charges implicate from Hyde? Keep a look out online I will be making a thread to help you get them w removed, you shouldn’t be paying for services that you don’t receive and they have no right to charge you them regardless if they say it’s part of your “estate” your boss has he car mot’d each year. Do you have to pay for it because it’s part of work being open so he can get to work…. Hyde are a joke. Oh and if you ask for invoice proof they want to charge you £100 and the invoice don’t detail your property anyway

I am a single mother with a 10-year-old child. My property has no heating and no hot water.I contacted the emergency line, was given a four hour window, then called back and told it is not an emergency. When I challenged this, I was told emergency priority only applies to newborn babies, disabled, and elderly residents.Leaving a child in freezing conditions for 48 hours does not meet the criteria apparently that is a safeguarding issue.Your emergency criteria excluding children is unacceptable.I require urgent resolution today, not Monday.
