My review of this company will consist of two parts: one about the quality of the training and the other about how this company offered me a job, conducted onboarding, and then disappeared.
In November 2023, I was selected for the Software Engineering Bootcamp funded by the Department of Education. This was not my first experience with bootcamps, so I have a basis for comparison. A major downside is that they do not have their own platform; all theory and exercises are given on Dropbox, which is very inconvenient. The quality of the material is very low. The online lessons hardly offer anything beyond what you can find for free on YouTube. I’ve taken other bootcamps for £30 a month that were far more convenient and structured. Cisco Academy also offers excellent theoretical courses for free, and pairing that with Leetcode practice would yield much better results than this bootcamp with HyperionDev.
The cost of the 12-week course is around £5,000, which they demanded after the bootcamp ended. Initially, the bootcamp was funded by the Department of Education, which even emailed us instructing not to pay HyperionDev since their services were already covered. Essentially, they tried to double-charge both the Department of Education and the students.
Regarding the job offer, at the end of September, I received an offer for 40 hours a month as a Coding Reviewer. My job coach conducted onboarding in early October and informed me I would start working on November 1. I work as a bar operator at one of Cambridge University’s colleges. Given my zero-hour contract, I usually take about 120 hours per month, but I took only 80 hours for November expecting to start with HyperionDev. A week before November ended, the Department of Education informed us that they no longer worked with HyperionDev and that we should not pay them.
After I started leaving reviews, they began to contact me. However, they did not acknowledge any responsibility for the fact that they had already conducted onboarding and I was supposed to start working on November 1. Instead, they blamed my job coach for not forwarding my case to them.
I reached out to confirm my job status and was told they needed time to evaluate their staffing needs. I explained that I took 40 fewer hours in November due to their job offer, losing 30% of my income. I asked for a concrete answer and compensation if the job did not materialize. Their response was uncertain, stating I would have to wait, implying the rest was my problem.
On a positive note, I had a wonderful job coach who helped me significantly.
In summary, this company provides low-quality training and has dishonest practices. They tried to double-charge for the course and failed to honor their job offer, resulting in financial loss for me.
As always found them very quickly, helpful and friendly, many thanks

Reviewers and mentors are friendly, helpful and guide you to be the best you can. I am very glad that I enrolled in this bootcamp and would recommend it to all.

I am not yet complete with the data science bootcamp. However, so far so good. There is also quick assistance when needing help and the schedule given to do the work seems to work well with my personal life as I enrolled for the partime course. The material so far is great, I get to learn a lot of coding which is what I was looking forward to.

No Certification Provided At The End Of The Course.
As much as I love how HyperionDev organised the course content and the teaching delivery was second to none, the only concerning issue that I have is the fact that I was denied my certificate of completion based on the premise that HyperionDev expected me to get a job offer before they could issue me a certificate of completion. This I find highly ridiculous as companies/organisations are interested in seeing the certificate first before they could consider one for a job offer.
To me, it is like we students were set up to fail by not issuing us our certificate of completion.
Throughout the programme, my performance was excellent and yet I have no certificate to prove it to any organisation that I aspire to work with, hence the reason I have not been able to secure a job in the field.
I had a great mindset before starting the Data Science bootcamp cohort 4, but I am highly disappointed that after all the efforts that I put into achieving my grades, I have no evidence to show for it to organisations requesting for my certificate.
All I need is to get my certificate in order to prove to organisations that I attended the bootcamp and I am happy to transfer all that I have learnt throughout the programme to real life projects/work.
Like I rightly said, everything is good about HyperionDev, but of what use is attending a bootcamp without a certificate of completion at the end? it looks more like a total waste of innocent people's time.
Please I am imploring you to give me my certificate for Data Science Cohort 4 Year 2023 Bootcamp.

After completing a Skills Bootcamp, HyperionDev (aka CoGrammar) is now charging money for fully government-funded Skills Bootcamps (UK Department for Education, DfE).
In fact, the contract signed with their students is illegal, as it is in breach with the funding conditions they have previously agreed with DfE.
After CoGrammar started charging for these Skills Bootcamps, DfE sent an email saying: "We wanted to let you know that we have since written to one supplier, CoGrammar Ltd, to ask them to stop charging learners for any element of the DfE Skills Bootcamp courses and asked that they refund learners who may have already been charged for their Skills Bootcamp course."
After exchanging emails for three weeks, and in spite of DfE injunctions, HyperionDev/CoGrammar still refuse to reimburse the undue payment received from my part. Unfortunately, il looks like the next step is going to be filling a claim court.
Another DfE email also explains that "CoGrammar (also known as HyperionDev), a training provider which is no longer contracted to DfE to deliver Skills Bootcamps provision to learners."

Nearing the end of my course and I've had a pleasant experience with my learning, from support @Tiffany Desmore and @Dimpho Masekwameng made me feel comfortable and were prompt with any query I had. My mentors @Chris Smit and @Abdul Kader Gafoor stretched my thinking and fast tracked my learning. Thank @HyperionDev !

The company provides valuable and life changing employability skills and training.
They are organised and effective in their response to queries and customer service. I would highly recommend this company to businesses.

I really valued the occasional check-ins from HyerionDev to follow up on my progress and see how I was finding the course. The support channel we had as students for booking one-on-one sessions was also very helpful.
