Amazing car hire, ordered a discovery sport and got a full size discovery, easy contactless collection and drop off. Would highly recommend.

The communication from the company was absolutely fantastic. We suffered a delay to our inbound flight from the UK and informed them prior to boarding, and received a reply within about 5 minutes telling us not to worry and re-confirming the directions from the airport. We also changed our vehicle from a larger to smaller one and again, this process was seamless and super easy. Superior in comparison to companies I've used elsewhere in the world!

The car was stunning, everything was explained in perfect detail and very minor damage (a tiny scuff to paintwork) was pointed out to me prior to signing the agreement.

Returning the car was also super easy, and the options for extra insurance and roadside assistance were explained at pickup, which were really good prices as well.

Overall, we will definitely recommend Iceland Car Rental to anyone visiting Iceland, and when we next visit we will definitely use them again.

Very convenient system of online booking, with an opportunity to have a car not necessarily long in advance. The service is also fast and nice.

Much cheaper than the big car rental companies. good service at the desk, a slight walk or shuttle to the desk. car wasn't very new but worked perfectly fine and better given the pot hole/gravel roads of Iceland!!

Iceland Car Rental made everything very easy. The pick up location was very convenient to walk to from the airport plus they also had a shuttle that we took on the return trip to the airport. The car was great and did excellent in the ever changing Icelandic winter weather. We preferred the manuel drive and it was very smooth.

Everything went well with our rental car experience. We were only slightly confused that Iceland Car Rental was in the Blue Car Rental office, so had just a touch of difficulty finding the office…we chose to walk as the shuttle was taking a long time to leave. The car was just fine and worked well. We loved having the WiFi in the car. Returning the car was very easy as well. I would recommend Iceland Car Rental and use them again.

The car itself was good, pick up was fairly quick, but the car had been sprayed with something and the smell lingered for about 3 days, it made me feel slightly sick.

Friendly lady at reception desk, fuss free, car picked up 5 min, dropped off 3 min. Convenient walking distance to:from airport.

As wild the wind blew the evening I picked up the car the calm and easy the pick up was. No queue and a nice and relaxed lady behind the counter. I will defintately come back

I've hired many cars in Europe and some in the US, and this was by far the easiest. The prices on the website were informative and accurate and the check-in was easy with no "hard sell" to something else. In Iceland, insurance is very important, especially in winter, so take the most comprehensive package and it makes the holiday stress free especially when driving on snow and ice. I am a confident driver but I saw a number of tourists who are not confident in those conditions, so full coverage is key

Personally I recommend making sure every part of your rental car works before you take off on the road. Our rental car turned out to have a broken gas cap which we had to open from the inside each time we wanted to refuel. Additionally we encountered a bug where the car refused to detect the seatbelts, resulting in a constant warning beep playing while driving.

Icelandic car rental did provide us with directions to a local mechanic who promptly took a look at our car, the service for this was very fast, the problem itself did unfortunately return the nex day.

I'm rating my experience 3 stars since we had to miss out on a few planned activities when these problems showed up. As I mentioned, the customer services were very helpful so I do recommend the full insurance incase you also encounter issues on the road.
