DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Booked a bus from Nice to Montpellier, 3 weeks later an email to say my departure has changed. Not from Nice Airport to Nice train station but to Marseille over 200kms away, almost two thirds of my journey. Are they serious. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Just about written off the €35 I paid them.

Very dangerous driver from Amsterdam to…

Very dangerous driver from Amsterdam to London on Wednesday 29th May.

Driving so fast and kept having to reverse because of his speed in city centres.

I have complained to ouibus, the lease coach company and to DVSA in UK as this is accident waiting to happen.

Very very bad experience, awful lease coach with seat pitch worse than any budget airline, no WiFi, no sleep as the driver was so dangerous I could not rest.

We travelled from London to Belgium…

We travelled from London to Belgium overnight. Our bus arrived late and it wasn’t even a Ouibus although that’s what we had booked. The driver did not know how to turn on the A/C so it was very hot. The bus driver was rude and unhelpful when confronted with the issue. The bus was very uncomfortable and hot throughout the night, it was impossible to sleep. I would not recommend this bus service.

AWFUL.

Absolutely disgusting. Bus was 40 minutes late leaving everyone waiting in despair. The only phone number we had would not connect. When the driver finally arrived he didn’t even acknowledge us or apologise for his lateness. He then spent the rest of the trip talking to us all very rudely. Could not answer a single question without snapping at someone. Also failed to tell us before boarding that the coaches toilet did not work and kept the door locked for the 12 hour coach journey. No WiFi, freezing cold the whole ride. Absolutely awful service. DO NOT USE. Have made a complaint.

My first experience with OuiBus but it…

My first experience with OuiBus but it was the worst!!! The bus was late 15 whole minutes and when we called, customer service said we should call in 20 minutes. We we called in 20 min to say the bus didn’t show up, they said the bus left 10 minutes before and didn’t have the decency to explain it was a different company we should have taken. We got the classic “sorry maam but you missed your bus”. Terrible!!! I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

Hot bus and no USB port to charge phones

My trip from Amsterdam to London was just horrible. The bus was freaking hot and the driver wouldn't turn the AC on. We were all complaining but he didn't seem to care. The company promises Wi-Fi and USB port bit these are all lies as nothing seems to work. Back to Eurolines it is.

The bus is stinking hot

The bus is stinking hot, no air con and the driver hasn't given an explanation as to why not. Only 20 minutes in to a 10 hour trip to Amsterdam. There's a baby on board as well, RIP us.

Awful company

Awful company. I prepaid like a fool and then my trip got cancelled. I was notified of the cancellation 15 minutes after the departure time and then told I needed to contact them for a refund. This meant I missed my flight.

I reached out and was offered a refund, however they never actually made the payment and have since refused to make the payment.

Overall, a bus company that lies, cheats, and steals.

Waited for more than an hour and a half…

Waited for more than an hour and a half at the departure adres together with other travelers. The bus never came. Called the customer service, they claimed the bus waited there for half an hour, wich is a lie. They left us stranded. We bought a ticket for Flixbus instead, much better.

Rotterdam - > London

Joined #Ouibus from Rotterdam to London.

The bus picked us up 10 minutes to late.
Toilet was out of order.
The smell was disgusting. Had a seat near the toilet.
No usb ports near your seat.
You recieve seatnumbers, but our seats where already taken.
WIFI didn't work.
The driver didn't wear any uniform or sign with Ouibus. Looked like one of the passengers.
During stops the bus was left open, driver was eating in restaurants, everyone could enter the bus.
The bus was cold (airco).
Clock, television didn't work.
I booked a direct ticket from Rotterdam to London, but we stopped in Brussel. Nobody informed me before.
At the border of France and England the driver was discussing with a douanier. The douanier pushed him away. Driver was very rude.
Next time I will take the airplane.

Ouibus Left Us Stranded at Night

Ouibus left us stranded in Perpignan at 9:00 at night.

We went from Barcelona to Perpignan to a wine festival for the day with Spain NIE's (national residence permits) not knowing we should have taken our passports (Schengen countries, no internal borders, right?). We took a different company to Perpignan - French police boarded the bus at the border, checked our documents and let us pass without incident.

On the return trip, however, Ouibus wouldn't even let us board. They left us stranded at the bus station in Perpignan - two women at 9:00 at night, with nowhere to go and no way to get home. Other passengers stood up for us to argue on our behalf - we had Spanish state ID's, tickets to show we'd been in France for the day and were clearly going home. But the bus driver couldn't have cared less and closed the door in our faces. We ended up finding a hotel and taking another company in the morning.

I'm only now discovering that lots of other passengers have also had horrible experiences with Ouibus.

Sure, you might get to your destination and you might even have a decent experience. You'd be in the minority. If you want to risk that, be my guest. But there are plenty of other companies out there who care about their passengers. I'll stick with them - and give Ouibus a miss.

EU SHOULD BAN THIS COMPANY

the whole experience was completely opposite to their advertisement. The bus was old, dirty and noisy. No usb charger, no wifi. No information at the bus stop, no signs to even indicate the company name or the destination of the bus. No company representative at the bus stop. 90 minutes delay on arrival. the bus didn't even stop for comfort breaks in a service area during 13 hours trip. The only positive thing was the driver: gentle and polite tried to mitigate the problems created by this awful company.

AVOID TRAVELLING WITH THEM UNLESS YOU ARE A MASOCHIST

Appalling service, violent staff

Appalling service. Incompetent and violent staff.
I have never felt so threatened, unsafe and helpless in my life.
We had a negative experience on our trip en route to Paris on Friday, 14 September 2018 on the 21:00 bus from London to Paris. The driver refused to honour the seat allocations on the tickets, and allowed customers to sit anywhere.
However, the main reason for my complaint is more serious and involves verbal abuse. We had tickets for the bus to London departing from Paris Bercy to at 23:00, and arrived at Bercy Station 3 hours prior its scheduled departure. Due to the absence of information regarding the platform on the screens, and the indifference of the staff on duty, 7 people missed the bus. I was concerned minutes before the scheduled departure and tried to catch the attention of the employees on duty, but all of them refused to help us. When we finally caught the attention of an employee at 23:02, he informed us that the bus had left and offered no help. To add insult to injury, he expressed not a drop of remorse and mocked us, along with 5 other individuals who missed the bus despite diligently following instructions stated on the information booth. People such as that man, who sadly, was the manager should not be employed in a position that involves customer service or any human interaction as he is incapable of basic human decency and courtesy.
There was a sign saying: “Voyageurs Ouibus bonjour! Vous souhaitez connaitre le numero de votre quai? Consultez nos ecrans sur votre droite (quai 6 et 4)”. As per instruction, we looked at the screen that indicated “a l’heure”, with no assigned platform. The journey just disappeared, with no warning or final call from the driver who at this point, is missing 7 passengers. It is alarming that the employee did not have the common sense to check with the station manager (who was 50m from him) and investigate this suspicious occurence. We followed instructions, sought assistance and was insulted instead of receiving help. I would imagine some sort of protocol is in place for this sort of incident, and I would like to think that it does not involve mistreatment and violent outbursts of verbal abuse from the very people employed to take customers from point A to point B, and to assist them in the process.
The only logical solution was to try to purchase tickets and board the 23:30 bus. Unfortunately, only 4 out of the 7 customers managed to book before the purchase window closed. According to the driver, there was one seat left, which could have been accommodated by one of the customers who was travelling on his own. It would have made sense for them to let him board, but the driver said that for insurance purposes, the manager who was nowhere to be found at this point needed to authorise the procedure.
What kind of manager does not take responsibility or offer a solution to distress customers when it is readily available?
This is curious as earlier, we witnessed an employee wearing a Ouibus uniform who was conducting a monetary transaction in cash, while we were told there was no facility to purchase tickets.
We were aimlessly directed from one employee to another as no one was willing to offer help. The most constructive comment we received was from a driver who said:
“Well, maybe you can try with Flixbus”.
This level of incompetence is utterly unacceptable. We were so outraged that we asked for the “chief’s” name, but he refused to give it to us and looked so enraged to a point where I felt extremely uneasy so I walked away. We asked all employees (including 4 Ouibus drivers, and a Security Employee of ESP) and no one was willing to give his name and threatened to "SEND ME TO THE HOSPITAL".
In a single night alone I witnessed many dubious and questionable incidents. It is absolutely shocking and horrifying that the man who was employed to protect people and provide “security” opted to threaten and scream at us, all the while, people with malicious intentions were attempting to touch my bag.We were under extreme stress at this point, worried that we will have no place to stay as I have no phone battery and Bercy station was closed, and there was this man taking advantage of our state of panic and distress. We were so shocked we took an eurostar the next day as I felt it wasn't SAFE to take a Ouibus, ever again.

Since then, Ouibus did little to nothing to apologise, not even covering the actual cost of the tickets (let alone the extra costs this disaster incurred) and they protected their staff (apparently no verbal abuse has been reported: it would seem quite logical to anyone that the staff will not incriminate itself but not the Ouibus management)

We have used OUIBUS many times…

We have used OUIBUS many times travelling from Geneva airport or Lyon to Grenoble and back. Our latest trip was 30 March. We have had nothing but first class service, the buses are clean, warm and punctual. They are clearly marked and all the drivers have been helpful and polite. Reading these reviews makes me wonder if we're talking about the same company!

They seem to have some bad press so I…

They seem to have some bad press so I would like to say... I travelled in March 2019 from London to Brugge and back. Coach was comfortable. Driver was polite. Coach arrived on time. App was working for tracker. Very pleasant journey.

Horrible company

Horrible!!! We even couldn’t take the bus. We were around 20 persons waiting for more than 1 hour for the bus direction Brussels-Amsterdam at 7:25am. The bus apparently had another schedule but we all had the sad hour in hour tickets. They don’t have any office and when you tried to call costumer service is just doesn’t work. Worst experience and it just ruined our day to go to Amsterdam
