Worst customer service I've experienced
I have spent over 12 months trying to get my business telephones to work. I have been around and around in circles with them so many times trying to troubleshoot. Only now that I am leaving are they offering a technician to help. It has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had it has cost my business so much money and time.
This company is the worst company I…
This company is the worst company I ever gave money to. I regret terribly of ever being their customer. Worst internet i had. Can’t cancel the service because of the disgusting service and internet and keep getting charged for that service. Customer service keeps hang up in my face for over a month. Do not buy anything from them
Customer service is useless
Customer service so unreliable and useless they may aswell hire monkeys to do the job. Having the same conversation for 3 days going around in circles as they only have one reply, over the phone and in emails. My father passed away so I want to change the payment method for my grandmother to continue her internet and home phone service. I do not have access to his email to find the account number. I have provided the name and the address and the phone number in question. They continue to only ask for the account number. Better off putting an ai chatbot in charge of customer service because they are unable to read previous emails on the chain or come up with any solutions. They just lost a customer as my grandmother would of continued her service until her end of life also.
Terrible resolve tried to scam and cancelled my internet for no reason.
Terrible resolve, I told them to cancel my internet on the 23rd of July and they cancelled it on the 9th of July (the same day I called). Now my family and I are stuck without internet and they refused to give me back my money I used to pay for the internet for hours. IInet are scammers they said the only way to get my internet back was to restart and get a new account and router because the one they cancelled cant be restored and to pay upfront once again and they offered zero consolation for this major inconvenience. The supervisor was reading off a manuscript and could barely form a normal sentence. Utterly disappointed, zero solutions just taking more money and time from loyal customers.
Complete waste of time to get mobile phone connected
My mobile phone was disconnected presumably due to a storm here. I need the mobile phone as I care for my elderly mother. I was told I need a new PUK number, but couldn’t get one as my date of birth was incorrect in toolbox. I’ve been with iiNet since 1990s- my DOB has never been incorrect. I’m still without a mobile as I need a mobile phone to receive a code to get into toolbox. The privacy team take forever to get back to you. I’ve had to obtain a sims card from another company to be able to call out in case of a medical emergency. Talk about Catch 22. I sent my new mobile number, but received no link to be able to get into toolbox. I understand about security but my security is put at risk with no mobile phone. Complete lack of understanding from iiNet. Terrible service they leave people stranded.
Poor customer support during esim setup
I purchased an esim with iiNet and ported my number across from Felix. After 1 day, I still didn't have access to mobile data, so I deleted an unfamiliar esim on my phone. This resulted in me losing access to my number as the porting process was incomplete. Nowhere in the instructions provided was it mentioned that a temporary number would be generated during the porting process, and not to delete this number.
I have now had to go through the process of verifying my identity with iiNet to request a new QR and confirmation code to re-set up my esim. Every time I've called the customer line about the status of this, I've been given scripted responses about the wait time and told that they, or I, cannot get in contact with the department responsible for this process so just to keep waiting. It has now been 3 days without access to my number, which is used for work purposes. Despite me stressing the urgency of expediting this process, I continue to wait for them to send me an email with the new QR code, a relatively simple task. As soon as this is sorted, I will be switching to another provider.

I've switched to iiNet 100Mbs NBN and I'm very happy. The speed and connection are very stable. the customer service and tech support is exceptional.
I am sick to bloody death of iinet
I am sick to bloody death of iinet. I will be telling everyone i can to stay away. I put up with iinet for years far longer than i should have to avoid switching providers. I have had nothing but shitty modems internet drop outs. I have had to nearly everyday restart the modem just to get 5g back. The met is slow im charged for service i dont get. They say faults are nbn related nbn says def not them. Technicians out no better. Been without net continually for a metro area. Neighbours on other providers no issue. 100%iinet. Service provider has us repeat tasks 50 times when it doesnt work. Transfers to departments who arent available no call backs when promised. Finally cancelled service demanded replacement of a faulty modem back when cancelling but is ours and when didnt get code to mail back modem told dont need to. Nobody there knows what they are doing. Stay away never use them. Go elsewhere. Scam artists.
As an update 12 july after cancelling service they invoiced me for next month. Had to complain. Got told id get refunded for month of previous complaint only got half my money back. F THEM!
Shady and shifty company!
I’m done with iiNet. You’ve officially lost another customer.
The internet drops out constantly and can barely be relied on for basic daily use. But what really pushed me over the edge is how shady and shifty this company has become.
You start sending messages about my bill weeks before it’s even due. Not reminders—actual pressure. Then, before the due date even arrives, you’re threatening to cut the internet off. That kind of behavior is ridiculous and completely unacceptable.
And then there’s the mysterious bill changes. One day I log in and owe $79. I go back to pay it, and somehow it’s shot up to $189. This has happened a few times where money was added to my bill out of nowhere. No explanation, no breakdown, no service changes—just more money slapped onto the total. I don’t care how you try to dress it up, that’s not how a trustworthy company operates.
You’ve made it clear that you don’t value your customers only their money, and you sure as hell don’t operate with full transparency. You’ve lost my business for good.
You’re not getting anything beyond what I actually owe, and believe me, I won’t be recommending you to anyone. If anything, I’ll be warning them.

They'll rip you off - loyalty doesn't pay
I've been a loyal customer of iinet for nearly 20 years. I moved home and changed plans a couple of years ago. They kept charging for the old plan, and no matter how many times I called about it, I was dismissed. I finally got a representative who dug deeper and found the issue. It took another month to see a refund, but the refund was put into the account that was cancelled, and I couldn't access it - unbelievable! I was told repeatedly, "This will be the last time you need to call about this issue, we've got it sorted out now." - Another month later, and I'm still chasing my refund that they claim was put into my bank account - it wasn't, they lied! The customer support has usually been great, but the company doesn't care about their customers, only about the money. STAY WELL AWAY FROM IINET

Iinet has been charging me $80 a month…
Iinet has been charging me $80 a month for over two years for an old address. Up to $1800. I have called multiple times and have been lied to over and over about when this is going to be resolved. I have been a loyal customer for nearly 15 years. I will be getting in contact with the telecommunications ombudsman. It seems as though I'm not the only one to have experienced this. Very disappointing. Will be cancelling all services and going elsewhere.

I notified iiNet of termination of service 22/5/25 as I was connecting to a new ISP 23/5/25. Invoicing for June continues regardless of 3 phone calls to sort out this invalid billing. Letter arrives today advising my service will be disconnected TODAY! Guys I’m with another ISP and it’s working fine. I’m forwarding Final Notice of Disconnection onto the Ombudsman with other details. No point in advising me to use social media to contact iiNet as I don’t use these services. Why can’t he call centre get it right? They just seem to blame the person contacted before at the call centre for the error.
The worst of the worst
The worst of the worst! I’d score ZERO if I could. Tried to cancel an internet service after spending 45 minutes on the phone TWICE. And a bill turns up for next billing cycle. Another 45 minutes on the phone and they advise there’s no record of cancellation and they can’t guarantee that the service will be cancelled. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! The call centre is totally useless and based offshore. I’m reporting iiNet to the ombudsman they should be shut down and fined! A disgrace of a company!

iinet MOBILE :Great service!
iinet MOBILE :Great service!. Extremely professional customer support who will go that extra mile to ensure that your business gets looked after. They are always polite and friendly. My mobile activation was complete so quickly. Impeccable service. Never had an issue with text messages or phone calls ever. Very reasonable price. I moved out to Kogan from iinet because kogan were having a promotion and within 8 days I was back to iiNet. ii Net even works inside an elevator or enclosed spaces a feat that even Telstra couldn't pull off. After Kogan provided a disastrous experience I realized how good ii net was . I sympathies with those who have had negative experiences and I guess iiNet might have upped their game Highly recommended!
My home internet stopped working so I…
My home internet stopped working so I called iinet support and was advised a level 2 technician would call the next day. As the level 2 technician didn't call I followed up and called iinet support to be advised that the issue was on my end and they would need to send a technician out to my home. As this didn't seem right because I able to login to iinet tool box so I logged in to the modem and check the connection, the connection was fine. I called iinet support back and told them of this and they advised me that it was a server issue on their end and that they would transfer me to a case manager. The case managers section was closed for the day and the phone call ended. I called them back and they then advised that the case manager would call me back the next day. No phone call the next day so I called them back and tryed again with no luck and multiple phone transfer to section that have gone home for the day resulting in me calling them back. On the last attempt and before I go transferred to a non working department of iinet a advised the iinet staff member that this would be the last time I get transferred to an section where no one is currently working, however they still did. After 15 years at iinet I have now move to dodo who had me connected to the net withina few hours and seem to have been able to do something iinet couldn't do in 3 day.
YOU CANNOT LEAVE THIS COMPANY! (TRAPPED)
YOU CANNOT LEAVE THIS COMPANY!
iiNet makes it almost impossible to cancel any service you have with them. Their telephone line will assure you they have terminated your service and invoicing but refuse to provide written confirmation. I have been charged for two months without consent. Highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
