Tried the site for about a year. Did have numerous conversations, but the pandemic made a huge difference to people's willingness to meet. It's also obvious that because it is free for women, that very large numbers of women stay on the site but never look at messages or respond. I agree with another reviewer who suggested that women should be charged for staying the site. This is highly unlikely to happen, of course, because it would impact on the number they can claim are on there.

I have used IE several times over the years and found the site very professional and very good value. It may seem expensive but the members on the whole are genuine and fakes are not tolerated.

I think it is the best website of it's type and if an affair is what you want this is the place to be.

Actually one of the only sites with genuine people on it. Found what I was looking for and gained a great insight into a crazy dating world. Definitely Recommend.

I placed a review here some 2 years ago, and although I am no longer on IE, just out of curiosity I do look here from time to time to read what experiences other guys have had. Maybe I was lucky but I had no issues with the site. My profile was upfront, not overly wordy and slightly humourous. Yes you have to be aware of the auto renewal and yes I am sure there are a number of fakes on here but most of those are pretty much very obvious. Im an ordinary down to earth guy in his 60's and over 6 or 7 years or so I have met a number of different ladies 2 of which are still very good friends who I chat and catch up with on a regular basis and another wonderful lady who I have been in a relationship for 4 years. The site does exactly what it says but you have put some effort into it and just be yourself as there are some genuine lovely ladies out there.

Do not fall for this scam. It's very easy to get lured with 'special offers' but you are unwittingly and unwillingly signing for the continuous monthly subscription without knowing. So if you do not keep an eye on your bank statements, it may be months before you realise that you've been charged a fortune for nothing. And if you contact support, you're just fobbed off. This 'business' should be investigated by the serious fraud office as I am sure there are hundreds or even thousands of men that fell for this scam. Do not be another one!

It is what it said on the tin but you need to be patient In finding what your looking for. I've had a couple of meets one compatible. Frustrating when you start chatting and then men become deleted user is this because they haven't subscribed? On the whole though its definitely the best site I've tried.

Since the start of this year, I’ve tried both IE and AM. I don’t know how these sites are still operating because they’re a total scam. But I guess you get fools coming along who think they may actually have a chance to chat and meet real women. There may be some genuine women on the site but the amount of fake profiles mean its impossible to tell who’s genuine or not. Oh and watch out for the automatic monthly renewal. That’s another £99 that I didn’t even realise I agreed to.

From now on, I’ll stick to the free sites like HUUSH and pof.

I’m currently on IE for the third time. Previous subscriptions yielded lots of conversations but very few ‘meets’. I accept that and realise women have a choice.
What I have found really galling this time is the dearth of profile views after sending a message. If the women on the site are real then they have become almost clairvoyant. Jus seems odd that messages are completely disregarded without so much as a cursory view.
There are other issues. When my previous subscription ended I received more ‘messages’ than when I was active. Also very odd.
Now it appears there are hordes of new women members. Sometimes 10 a day. I message many with the same result as I mentioned previously. Also extremely odd.
The site is also exploited by scammers. Women who are certainly not in this country.
I am sure there are some real women on the site but I believe the majority don’t exist. The so called new members, many with profiles which seem familiar, certainly are not real and I believe them to be generated by IE to encourage continued subscriptions.

Very disappointing and exploitative site.

A great site that delivers what it promises. If you are prepared to put the effort into making your profile interesting, readable, honest, grammatically correct and straightforward then you will find what you are looking for. When contacting potential dates you need to read their profile carefully and ensure your replies match what they want. Don't pressurise and be patient.

A lot of men get scammed by a rolling agreement to pay £99 a month after your registration expires. You have to scroll down a long way to see the small print. If you don't know about this, you will certainly get suckered. For those who have been robbed in this way, I advise going to the fraud department of your bank. They got me a refund.
A second negative is that the service is free for women, so they have no incentive to withdraw their profile when no longer interested, or feel any pressure to find a partner.

I met my match on this site - it’s my first time doing anything like this and found the experience smooth from start to finish. The website has a membership subscription which is easy to cancel, I chose to renew as it’s cheaper, and cancelled in under 2 months as I’d found what I was looking for.
I’ve been in a marriage of convenience for a long time with zero passion, the woman I’m now having an affair with is in a similar situation.
Yes there are some weirdos on here, just as you’d get in real life. But on the whole I found that most of the women I talked to were pretty normal, looking for a similar relationship, bored or neglected at home, lacking intimacy etc. Recommend.

I've been really lucky to have had two wonderful affair from this site. I am in a marriage I have no intention of leaving so it's important for me to find someone in the same position which makes ie serve its purpose. The sites user-friendly and I also log on to join in the forum's. Recommend if you're looking for someone in a similar position.

Very fake website run by a bunch of cons. I wish one could rate them ZERO.

Like pro cons, they will tempt you to subscribe by showering your profile with alerts of views by appearently attractive women.

Hold on. Don't take the bait. They are only after your money. Once you subscribe. Nobody views your profile. If you reply to any of the messages you received before subscription, you may get a reply or two but these women are there to make you feel there is real activity and real women behind the screen.

Don't fall for it. Save your money and shop somewhere else. You have been warned.

I wish more people report these scammers to trading standards and the police. They can't go on like this.

To avoid recurring payments you just need to mail the admin. Tell them to end the payments. That's it.

You got caught out by that because you only thought about chasing the women. So the first thing to do is send that mail!!!!

The best situation is a new women to the site. She'll be more likely to explore and meet you. She'll need careful handling and support through the affair. But it's more realistic to a conventional relationship.

Them that have experienced the site are more wary and slower to take up any offers. This could stretch over many weeks and fees on the site. You will need more experience to deal with these types.

The professional women, will quickly establish if you can be parted from your money. They will act quickly and you'll be swept off your feet thinking how lucky you are, but they will demand payment.

Try to find out if the profiles are being used within the last few days, and read the profiles carefully in order to respond. If you hit the spot a response may arrive.

Also it's an expensive hobby. Hotel costs,travel all mount up.

As with any site of this nature, you have to approach things with consideration and thought, read things carefully and work out your respnonses carefully, but overall I found it very much fulfilling its promise. I have formed two great lasting relationships with other users, a friend of mine had a very positive experience, too, and one of my partners commented this is the place where people can be very honest about what they need and their intentions, ironically. I like the fact that the profile info can be quite substantial - there is enough space for someone who can express themselves confidently to do so, but also a number of useful tools for those who are not that sure what to write.

If you put the effort in, you are likely to find someone. I had a gold membership twice in the last couple of years and have actually met two people (and almost met several more and messaged a few regularly outside of the website), one of whom has been in and out of my life for the last couple of years (in a good way). I do agree with some of the negative reviews to some extent. There are definitely people on the site that aren't genuine, but is that the fault of the site? Price is too high for the quality of the "product". I describe myself honestly, but have suffered from women being somewhat economical with the truth when describing themselves, just be upfront. I guess you have to remember that when you're talking to a genuine person they are likely to have some of the same issues as you when it comes to relationships. I've chatted to some that come across really well and we're getting on like a house on fire and one of us will say something that just sets something off in the other person and you end it there. It's online dating and things can be lost in translation when you can't see the whites of someone's eyes. I do recommend the site but be realistic. If subscription was less expensive I would be on there more often, recommend to like minded friends and be enjoying some naughty times on the side.

Excellent site, make sure you spend the time and effort to get what you’re looking for. Very responsive support from the team that backs it up too.

There are lots of dodgy profiles here. But I have found three lovely people on IE - so something must be right!
