Great feeling gloves and good quality, although long delivery time it was worth the wait

I placed an order in September and still have not received it (Dec)

Having seen the previous and current versions of the IMB Racewear gloves you can really see the work that has been done to make improvements based on issues that have been noticed, the touchpad on the index finger now seems much more robust and the grips on the surface of the hand look much more secure. The gloves always come out looking amazing, granted the delivery times are a small area for improvement, in the case of IMB, it is worth the wait.

Huge delivery time, bad quality. I do not rate these gloves as they are very harsh and have very sharp edges. While that is not a major issue while driving, they do feel very stiff and feel awful on the skin if you even touch another part of your body. The velcro part especially has super sharp edges and is very stiff. Moreover, the entire delivery process lasted 3 months in my case and even their support team had no idea what is going on. I would avoid this company and get sim racing gloves from another supplier or buy karting/car racing gloves instead.

took weeks to arrive and the quality is absolutely dreadful. The rubber sole is disintegrating at an alarming rate. I did email the company who blamed my pedals lol and said all the boots were the same. Well at least they are honest about the quality. None, and I mean NONE of my other boots are wearing out like these. I've since thrown them in the bin. The gloves were also poor quality, with a comically small little finger.

Let's start with the customer support experience. It wasn't top notch but they were helpful and in a nice tone. No real complaint there, some responses could've been quicker.

Now the product: (SSG-2 short) the first set I got was inconsistent in quality and not the size I ordered even though the size label was correct. One thumb piece was so tight my thumb was throbbing in a minute or 2. The other glove was ok ish and in the meantime my replacements were ordered I kept using that with another old glove. The rubber grip started to break and become hard pretty quick.

I had to wait 3months before I got a replacement! That's a really long time. In that time the older version became brittle and even scuffed my racing wheel a bit. Which got me worried for the quality of the replacement.

I have the replacement in possession for a week or 4 maybe 5 weeks now. And even though to my surprise the rubber grip was of a different kind (softer) it has started to come loose in parts already. Not brittle, but just coming off. I practice simracing for about 8 to 10 hours a week in total. Imo not a crazy amount to have this wear already.
Rest of the fitment and feel is great now.

I started writing this with 3 stars but now at the end I realise it's a 2 star for me, mostly because customer support was good.

I'm gonna contact them again on the rubber letting go. But I probably will never order again.

My buying experience was very smooth and the gloves came out just the way I wanted! However in only a few months of having them, in which I raced maybe 10 races at most, there’s now a holy in the left thumb, right where I grip the wheel :(. I was definitely hoping they would last for a lot of racing.

So they actually reached out and sent me a brand new pair with their updated material for the thumb area! That alone is awesome and thank you IMB. I have been putting them to work for about a month now and they show no signs of wear after a LOT of racing, with a new wheel too that goes way harder than my last. So since they basically fixed everything I will definitely say these updated gloves seem like a great buy in my opinion!

Although the construction and delivery time in total is fairly large, around 6-8 weeks for a custom design (not comparing other providers in the industry), the quality of the product once recieved is outstanding and worth the wait.

The grip potential on the wheel is fantastic and proves hard to lose hold of the steering wheel. The implementation of the pointer-finger having a smooth surface to use touchpads or other devices is great. The breathability of the glove itself is great as my hands dont overheat or get clammy after a long driving session.

Would definitely recommend as a provider for high end gloves.

I purchased a custom glove it came in perfect condition the quality for 60$ usd is very good not much more than non custom gloves and the quality is above in beyond

This is my first time buying from your site. I must say the quality and the materials are amazing. Feels so comortable and fit to my hand (pun) like a glove lol. Also bought the new socks so comfy i love them. Great idea.

Greetings from the Dominican Republic, The gloves are excellent, they are very soft and cool, the surface of the hand is comfortable to touch the steering wheel, they have a great grip, a unique custom design, they are of high quality, I recommend them.

Sim racing gloves are of a good quality - durable and comfortable. Somewhat slow production timeline (around 6-8 weeks), but the company keeps you well informed of the progress, and are upfront about this timeline, so no unpleasant surprises here.

The product is disgusting, not good materials, but good packaging, waiting months to come through the door for that sh#te to not even fit the feet, so narrow no room for feet, my kid is 3 and uses them too tap dance on the floor, no protection whatsoever

Absolutely shocking delivery time cant understand how they can operate with this service ,

The only reason this wasn’t a 1 star review is that I was given a refund. I dealt with multiple personnel that strung me along and kept telling me “your order has finished production and will ship in ‘x’ days” when I would never get a shipping email. This prompted me to ask for a refund which was honored and the gloves were shipped to me… eventually. The time from placing the order to actually receiving it is not what bothers me (it’s custom, I get that there is a lead time with these things); it’s the fact that I was repeatedly told my order would be somewhere in the process and then another employee would say it was actually not as far in the process as previously stated. TL, DR; I think communication could be better in terms of what is actually happening to my specific order. I will not be placing another order with IMB Racewear. The gloves themselves don’t fit but because this was such an irritating experience I don’t feel like going through all this to get it corrected. In terms of quality, the cheap hardware store gloves I was using are better than these.

Recieved a shipping notice on June 27th item wasn't shipped till July 16th
At the time of this review the item is now on the way. Other then this hiccup I like this company and their products and can't wait to start useing them they did respond to all emails and id still recommended their products

I love that I could customize my sim racing gloves with IMB. They came out amazing! The lead time given was accurate but worth the wait.
