Spent 1.5 hours wasting my time
Spent 1.5 hours, hit submit and kept taking me back to "complete ___ section", which I already completed and saved. After the 3rd time, I gave up. Kickstarter, it is.

No Customer Support
Update to their reply: The backers did e-mail you and either received no response, or, like I did, two weeks later they received auto-generated e-mails that didn't even attempt to solve their problem.
My favorite part of the most recent reply I received was the phrase "To help troubleshoot, here’s a list of [common contribution errors and solutions](insert link if applicable)."
So it took two weeks to reply to a problem, and the "person" responding couldn't even be bothered to paste in the appropriate link or delete the portion of the form message that you sent.
No one should believe any of your "just e-mail support and we'll help you" replies. They're all lies. Judging by your reviews online, nobody in your customer service department could be bothered to help a customer for at least five years.
***
It has been more than two weeks since I originally contacted them via email, asking for help. I eventually received another email that apologized for how long it took, and then asked me to provide all the information from my original email again because they "couldn't replicate the problem."
This was immediately followed by a "Tell us how we did!" email. I tried to respond two hours after the email was sent, and was sent to a link saying "Unfortunately, your problem has been resolved and the case is closed."
My problem was not resolved. It is clear there is nobody actually working in IndieGogo's Customer Service Department. I sent an expletive filled response to their unhelpful email, and look forward to getting the same vague, auto-generated response e-mail rather than communication from someone actively trying to help provide customer service.

Not only is this site bad for backers, it's bad for people trying to fundraise legitimate projects.
I'm fundraising for a book, and I've had multiple potential backers complain that they are unable to make donations because they get error messages.
When I try and click on "Help & Support", I'm taken to the sign-in page, even though I'm already signed in. When I sign in again and click on "Help & Support", I'm taken back to the sign-in page.
I emailed them about this a week ago. They auto-replied with an auto-generated support request number. When you click on it to get updates, guess what? It takes you to the sign-in page where you can sign in and be taken to a completely blank page.
They have not actually sent a non-auto-generated response to my query. Meanwhile, a select few donations have gone through by persistent backers who've told me they've repeatedly received error messages, and are unclear what they did differently when the donation actually went through.
I'd love to figure out what's going on but there is zero customer support. I'm sure they'll reply with their generic "e-mail support and we'll help you" message but then they won't answer the e-mail.
I had a positive experience with IndieGogo when I did a fundraiser in 2017 but my current experience has been a disaster, and I would encourage people to avoid this website at all costs, be you looking to fundraise or suppost someone else's fundraiser. Their website is a disaster and there is zero customer support.

Keep your money is my advice..
Keep your money is my advice... Having ordered a Ring One what seems like years ago and having been lied to again and again and again about the despatch of the product, I for one have learned a valuable lesson. Indegogo is little more than a showcase for scammers who will take and use your money with what appears to be zero accountability, zero protection and zero oversight once they take your money. What is going on here must be right on the very very fringe of legality... Avoid...

Too little protection for backers
Too little protection for backers. It's a great idea but most end in disaster. After you've paid your at the mercy of the seller. In contrast with webshops, in most cases you get no warranty or customer service. Most projects just flunk and you're left with a useless piece of equipment. The only benefactor is the person creating the project.
In the end it's not like you're getting something at bargain prices, only unfulfilled dreams and wishes.
I also think Indiegogo itself is on the edge of being legally correct. There should be an overseeing body to protect costumers, but thats either absent or ridiculously hard to reach for backers.

Sticking an £8 “tip” on a £15 order…
Sticking an £8 “tip” on a £15 order automatically after you’ve put in the payment method is utterly unacceptable - too easy to miss and pay. Bloody awful for the genuine small business that is using the platform to raise funds as it will stop people that don’t know them buying.

Absolutely no support from indiegogo
Absolutely no support from indiegogo. No response to mails what so ever.
The campagne was a fake one, Neither the company name used nor the photos we're legit.
This is absolutely bad practice. We need a class action LS against indiegogo.

Absolute scam
Absolute scam, they allow people to take your money through them then disappear. They provided so called contact details for the campaign owner which are invalid which they clearly hadn't even checked, before providing. Dont waste your money here there "trust &user security" does nothing

Backed many of their projects - 100% SCAM
Backed many of their projects, but almost never recieved the product/perk. The don't mind taking % of the money from backers and not taking care of companies delivering the projects. They are taking no resposibility for leading a number one SCAM site! In short you will LOSE YOUR MONEY, but it's a LEGAL SCAM!!! Welcome to the brave new world of raw capitalism!

Full of Scams
Scam campaigns are rampant; I contacted Trust and Safety team multiple times and despite promising that they would have the campaign owner edit the false details nothing happened.

SCAMMERS!
I backed LIVALL PikaBoost 2.
It "was" sent 3 months ago. Still no tracking code. No response neither from the producer nor from Indiegogo. It's a total scam.
Don't buy anything from them - SCAMMERS.
I'm reporting it to the Police.

Website for scammer startups
Website for scammers! Never again will trust these so-called small projects start up backing websites. Too many projects undelivered or delivered products that do not work! They should be reported to Trading Standards and the FBI.
The particular campaign I have a complaint about is the The Thermometer by Thermbot. Scammed thousands of money from thousands of backers across different platforms. Who is responsible and who should be prosecuted for legally enabling scammers to thrive on hard-earned money from the regular customers?
I invoke my rights under Indiegogo's ToU. This is my formal request for full refund of my pledge amount as the campaign reward has not ben fulfilled after successful

SCAMMING
SCAMMING, THIEVING companies apply here. I purchased a product earlier this year, paid $215. The product arrived (after 5 months after estimated arrival, okay, whatever) The product finally arrived but NEVER worked, NO support from the campaign owner at all. I am stuck with a $215 piece of junk. I can't dispute my CC because of course it's over 6 months. I contacted Indiegogo and they said to open a dispute. I've done that 2 times now and each time I hear NOTHING back and when I log in, it says resolved. Nothing is resolved and Indiegogo continues to have this scamming company's campaign on their site. The comments on the campaign shows that there are many, many people just like me that have been scammed.

Zero rating - scam and scam complicit
Zero rating. The company allows scammers to create campaigns that lead to the development of no products, but collect money from backers without ever honoring the obligations. IndieGoGo absolved themselves of liability, while this company collected $3.5 million, read the Be You Chair campaign, section with user comments.
If you want to throw your money out of the window, do so, you'll get at least some satisfaction from that, but never back anything on IndieGoGo, they're complicit to scams amplifying this behavior by seeming a reliable platform.
UPDATED: See below IndieGoGo generic response, which says nothing. It sounds good, congrats on typing so many letters, but in practice you offer zero protection. How can I manage my risks after I sent the fraudulent campaigner the money? I have no power, and you provide zero security. I did write you directly, and your colleagues responded an equally generic response of 'please contact the campaigner' which I did and wrote your colleagues as well that there is no refund and no communication with the campaigner. What can you do from here? That is why your whole platform is a bluff, it offers no protection once you transfer the money to the campaigner. By continuing to apply the same rules to campaigners and backers IndiGoGo became an enabler for scammers.
