BLOCKING ACCOUNTS FOR NOTHING
I was a victim of identityfraud and they managed to get a €20.000 loan on my name on another bank, ING didn’t help me at all they always treated me like i was the guilty one, they blocked my private and my business account for over a month now, i have children, i spoke to a fraud specialist and i managed to get all the information of the people who did this, bankaccounts, house adresses, emails, the phone type, IP-Adress, transactions, everything. I got more help from another bank than my own whom I’ve been loyal to for 10 years, this is ridiculous nonprofessional behavior, after this is done I’ll sue them for locking my accounts even after I’ve provided them ( who has nothing to do with it in the first place because all of the fraud was on another bank( ASN) way and way much better and professional bank. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THIS BANK IF YOU LOVE YOUR MONEY YOU WORKED HARD FOR!!!!
Atrocious customer service
Atrocious customer service, rude chat personeel (a so-called Martha) and inefficient bank which makes a basic mistake with your name on your credit card!
I was sent my renewed credit card recently and the bank's system apparently unilaterally CHANGED MY NAME. I was told that the system recorded my name on my passport but the system isn't smart enough to know that NOT everyone's name in the world is written with the family name after their name. So my family became my name and my name became my family name because on my passport, my family name comes first.
Ok, stupid system but that can happen.
I chat with them on the app (because you can't speak with ANYONE) and the bank staff submitted a name change and said it will be effective in 5 days. I chat again in 5 calendar days and found out that the name change was effective but submitted name was the WRONG name!!
I told "Martha" that but her response was "you didn't wait 5 business days". I asked her why I needed still to wait 5 business days when I know that the name change has been effected but with the wrong name. She continued on her "you need to wait 5 days". Wait 5 days to find out the name change is wrong when I already know it now?? So I told her that and she just repeated that phrase and said "I told you more then[sic] one time that the handeling [sic] time is not over and that you have to wait". AND SHE CUT OFF THE CHAT!
Kudos ING for training your personeel to be rude and completely not customer-oriented and just plain dumb.
I went back into the chat again hoping to get another more sensible person on the chat. I got into the chat at 16:37. It is now 17:03 and it's probably still "Martha" on duty because she is blank-walling me. I am getting no response on the chat.
What a s*** customer service. I don't get mad easily but this just was the max.
I am looking to move all my accounts to another bank. And I do have a lot of liquid funds with you. You have pissed me off so much.
They could not fix the problem for 4 months
We had a leakage problem. They responded quickly but today is the 4th month and still living on the concrete.
The companies they are working with are scammers. They all did terrible job by causing more damage than they fixed. ING sent us a painting company which made 4 appointments and failed all of them by making stupid mistakes (wrong planning, wrong paint, wrong this and that...). I think the only thing those companies care are how to rip off ING more. By doing that, they also waste so much of people's time and delivering low quality results. ING should stop sending companies, instead, do a good damage evaluation and pay people to fix it themselves.
Would give -5 star if I could
Would give -5 star if I could. Worst bank I've ever experienced. Disgustingly racist customer service, extremely unprofessional. Having been using the card for a long time, lost my pin and wanted to take the money from my current account. What asked me, to confirm that I am me is to tell them how much I spent the last time I used my card (4 years ago). How crazy? And asked my rent back then. I said 498, and they said wrong so they won't send me a new pin. But the actual number is 489. Also, when my new pin did arrive, I was shouted by the customer service that my I need to use the new pin within 3 days. But it's not stateted any where in the pin letter. Could not be more unhappy with the bank. Literally the most rubbish in the world. Wish it bankkrupt soon.
It's an ING disaster
It's an ING disaster. I want to activate the ING app and I've been working on it for over a month now. Removed the app and installed it again, scanned my ID several times. Called customer service several times. In the end, the technical service will solve it, but it will take 72 hours. Check it out, you need 72 hours to activate an app. What a company, and if I could I would have left a long time ago. What a disaster.
Useless debit cards and lazy staff
Useless people, bunch of lazy staff. They literally divert you to the website the whole time, I'm not sure why they even hire humans in the Netherlands. The cards are useless, you cant use them online. Customer support is horrible and they do not offer solution. Avoid this bank
Shocking
I have been a customer at ING for a few months and it’s actually quite disgraceful that they are named the top bank.
Not only are their client service bad, they also don’t seem to know their own products. It’s now been over 5 months since applying for a credit card, phoning weekly to try and sort it out but to no avail.
The only nice area is their banking app which functionality works well, but besides that your better off banking somewhere that values you as a customer
Good and quality service
WORST BANK I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH
If you have no smartphone , forget about opening ING Extra-Konto, as one is either restricted to telephone banking (tedious rigmarole) - or one has to purchase the overpriced PhotoTAN machine for €32 (which the Sparkasse offers at €19).
My order by telephone to withdraw the total balance was ignored for two days, and when I found that the funds were still on my account, I called customer service - which took 24 minutes. They took my withdrawal order on two separate lines (for security reasons) and promised me that the withdrawal would be effected on Monday (this being a Friday afternoon) On the Monday afternoon I found via telebanking that the funds still had not been paid out, so again I called customer service - this time with a wait of 30 minutes.
The recorded wait-music lasts about 30 seconds and was repeated ad infinitum (a Mozart Symphony at 25 minutes would still be too short!) . Used the time to look up - and email - as many ING email accounts as I could find (about 15 before customer service answered) and described my problem.
My advice as a former banker myself - hands off ING Extra-Konto: there are plenty of good alternatives, including Bank of Scotland, to name but one possibility.
Upstream
I have had this online bank for 7/8 years now, for what it has served me it has always done everything very well.
Intuitive site, easy to use.
My credit card was cloned twice and I was 98% compensated.
So what can I say, promoted with flying colors.
Discrimination
Ing is one if the worst banks for me. I feel discriminated because I’m Russian, live in the `Netherlands already 7 years, and already two times they ask me to prove my identity with sending them my passport and id card. Otherwise they can block my bank account.
I find it very discriminating on basis of my nationality, they sent this letters not to all the customers, but only to specific group and that is discrimination.
Terrible way to treat your clients.
ING is a bank that is impossible to get simple things done !!!
ING is a bank that is impossible to communicate with to get simple things done. I have tried Direct Postal services from UK, I have also tried Phoning the customers services, I have also emailed the Corporate Headquarters. Zero helpful response. And what do I want to do ?? Simple close my Current Account from the UK !!! A truly terrible experience that is costing me monthly payments on an account I want to close but they refuse to help. So a summary would be that ING is truly a crap bank for customer services.
No body answer the phone on the 24/7…
No body answer the phone on the 24/7 number which supposed to be important for emergencies.
good app, but too expensive
good app. But ridiculous i have to pay 3 euro to have an account a month and then pay 2.50 extra a month because I live abroad. I closed my account
Best bank in the Netherlands
Online banking and app Is really a joke
Is really a joke! Cannot believe as a customer the experience i had, worst website and online banking, the app sucks and when service is down good luck doing your administration and when you call customer service they NEVER can’t do a thing!!!! Changing my bank next week! Unprofessional 100%
Worst bank in the world
Worst bank in the world. They provide bank statements in Dutch only. Why such a bank does not provide it in English! I regret opening a bank account with ING.
Wordt bank ever.
A terrible bank. Already trying to get authorizations right for more than 5 months. Every time I call they tel me it is is proces but personal it will take a month to settle this. But every time the month is over and stil no authorizations. If your business depends upon them you are bankrupt even before you get started.
They are terrible arrogant and the really think they are the best bank. Based on what? My advise don't do business with them
Worst bank ever.
Worst bank ever.
No customer response, or a response promising they will come back with a resolution, and never come back.
As if I am buying a bag from them and not holding my money and paying for it.
Shameless. Useless.
Got travel insurance through ING
Got travel insurance through ING, when I had my suitcase stolen with my laptop inside, their response was only just short of: do you have video evidence of someone punching you in the face then running away with your bag? No? Then go away and we will take your money and do nothing.
However my experiance using the banking services was pretty good, this made me think that there insurance, that is advitised on the app would be just as well designed.
