Pathology

Setting up an account with this bank takes a month because you have to wait for ing to kindly send 3 letters. Technical support is non-existent. The only thing you can do is write with a bot. They only contacted me when they wanted money for an account I didn't even fully open and never used any ing service. I do not recommend. Pathology.

Got a new phone and I can’t activate…

Got a new phone and I can’t activate the online banking app because my ID card can’t been scanned. I am speechless. Worst customer service ever. Why do you then want international students to open bank accounts with you if they can’t even use your app? 😂 so stupid

Everytime I call to ING service ( 4x )…

Everytime I call to ING service ( 4x ) , they NEVER can help me , I don't know what these guys are doing there. I want to fix 1 detail .... but for them is always difficult and I have to talk to 3 different persons always, finally MY FRIENDS HELP ME , always . Useless service

I'm worried about all the system errors.

Accessing the site in a browser frequently results in a 403 error.

I had frequent application errors, and when I was told to start over with an error during registration, I started over and found that multiple accounts had been created.
Even though I did not complete the registration.

I was billed for account maintenance fees even though I did not complete the registration and had to pay for two accounts.

I am very worried because I am required to enter my other account information to cancel my account.

Support is only available by phone in the end, and the bank is not competent enough to provide support.

Trying to open account for a month

Trying to open account for a month. No success. Support says that everything is going to be fine soon. But it seems life is too short to spend a month for this kind of staff. I should have checked trustpilot earlier...

Rude customer service, unhelpful

I was on the phone for quite some time just to ask for some clarity over a direct transaction and after having the customer service pick up and me introducing my situation, she hung up on me without any reason.

Customer service is below even 1 star

Customer service is below even 1 star, horribly bad service and whenever I call, their system is crashed down and they can't help with anything!!! Even in the case where they caused losing my credit card!!!!! I am speechless!!!!

I have been calling Genelca, a very patient and helpful customer service lady. She helped me close my account that I made years ago and that I no longer use. Extremely helpful over the phone. Thank you!

Worst bank ever

Worst bank ever! They closed my account claiming I was doing “business” when I am employed! Not only that, they closed it whilst I am travelling India and could not call but only used the messenger system! I can’t access my money or pay my bills being in a foreign country for another 3 weeks! I had send them 20 messengers on their app but had to “call”, I borrowed a phone and was just told this is policy and they had posted a CHEQUE (WHAT?) sent to my home!!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I WAS A CLIENT FOR 10 YEARS!

I worked for ING for 5 years and also…

I worked for ING for 5 years and also still have bank accounts with them. They are the worst company I've ever worked for and the worst bank i've ever banked with.

Been trying to sort out a payment on my loan and they keep blocking my account making me phone them from the other side of the world, sit in a 45 min phone queue just to be told to do it all again! what a joke of a company and the witch I spoke to one the phone needs a lesson on customer service.

you will recieve an answer within 5 workdays, how not

Well not to mention I was waiting in line for 50minutes and after 5 minutes of talk the girl hang up on me, I think the problem was too difficult. They say that the answer for the insurance claim will come in 5 days, BUT via phone they said longer because they are in shortage of people. I explained my problems being without my phone etc, but yeah ''they can't do anything about it''. I guess the limit they give or any other ''promise'' doesn't have meaning anymore, you just wait...really disappointed that I think I will switch to another bank.

SCAM BANK

SCAM BANK. THEY HAVE CLOSED IN FRANCE AND LEFT THEIR CLIENTS WITH NO SUPPORT. RUN AWAYYY. IF A BANK IS GOING TO BANKRUPT ING WILL BE THE FIRST ONE.

I was scammed, no bank help

I was scammed on different occasions. I was at fault for neither and ING bank refused to cancel, reverse or refund the transactions. Customer service is super slow and they don't want to help. I left for macquarie bank

Poor services

Quite unhappy with this bank. It's a nightmare to even activate the app, their system does not read non dutch passports, with a consequent investment of considerable time without any benefit. Their IT systems are clearly outdated, given that they can't even manage to read a passport. They don't even say what to do in case it does not work, so I am a bit lost right now. I would recommend abn-amro to expats instead of ing.

The worst bank ever!

The worst bank ever!! They have no offices left anywhere anymore, you are supposed to use the app chat to ask your questions and It takes literally hours before they connect you with someone to answer your questions! Horrible service, high prices. Avoid at any cost

BLOCKING ACCOUNTS FOR NOTHING

I was a victim of identityfraud and they managed to get a €20.000 loan on my name on another bank, ING didn’t help me at all they always treated me like i was the guilty one, they blocked my private and my business account for over a month now, i have children, i spoke to a fraud specialist and i managed to get all the information of the people who did this, bankaccounts,house adresses, emails, the phone type, IP-Adress, transactions, everything. I got more help from another bank than my own whom I’ve been loyal to for 10 years, this is ridiculous nonprofessional behavior, after this is done I’ll sue them for locking my accounts even after I’ve provided them ( who has nothing to do with it in the first place because all of the fraud was on another bank( ASN) way and way much better and professional bank. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THIS BANK IF YOU LOVE YOUR MONEY YOU WORKED HARD FOR!!!!

Atrocious customer service

Atrocious customer service, rude chat personeel (a so-called Martha) and inefficient bank which makes a basic mistake with your name on your credit card!

I was sent my renewed credit card recently and the bank's system apparently unilaterally CHANGED MY NAME. I was told that the system recorded my name on my passport but the system isn't smart enough to know that NOT everyone's name in the world is written with the family name after their name. So my family became my name and my name became my family name because on my passport, my family name comes first.

Ok, stupid system but that can happen.
I chat with them on the app (because you can't speak with ANYONE) and the bank staff submitted a name change and said it will be effective in 5 days. I chat again in 5 calendar days and found out that the name change was effective but submitted name was the WRONG name!!

I told "Martha" that but her response was "you didn't wait 5 business days". I asked her why I needed still to wait 5 business days when I know that the name change has been effected but with the wrong name. She continued on her "you need to wait 5 days". Wait 5 days to find out the name change is wrong when I already know it now?? So I told her that and she just repeated that phrase and said "I told you more then[sic] one time that the handeling [sic] time is not over and that you have to wait". AND SHE CUT OFF THE CHAT!

Kudos ING for training your personeel to be rude and completely not customer-oriented and just plain dumb.

I went back into the chat again hoping to get another more sensible person on the chat. I got into the chat at 16:37. It is now 17:03 and it's probably still "Martha" on duty because she is blank-walling me. I am getting no response on the chat.

What a s*** customer service. I don't get mad easily but this just was the max.

I am looking to move all my accounts to another bank. And I do have a lot of liquid funds with you. You have pissed me off so much.
